The Elegant Element! How I missed this hotel is beyond me. I visit the Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area once or twice a year for business and/or pleasure. I typically stay in Rancho Cucamonga at one of the blocks of hotels across Fourth Street from Ontario Mills. The prices for these hotels are always about twenty-five to thirty percent more than hotels in Ontario. I found the Element on my Bonvoy app, and it was cheaper than the hotels five minutes away, so I booked a one-bedroom suite. When I arrived at the hotel, my room wasn't ready, so they upgraded me to a full suite on the first floor. The common area of the suite is massive, with bedrooms and bathrooms off to the side of the common area. The hotel and grounds have everything you need for a one-night or multiple-night stay. The lobby area has many seating sections, a pantry and a full hot and cold breakfast area. Outside, there is a large patio with barbecues and an accessible outdoor pool. The hotel has a very large and fully equipped fitness room with a multitude of stations, including cardio machines, free weights, weight machines, a universal, kettlebells, mats, and more. During my three-night stay, I used the gym five times, and although there were people in the gym at all hours of the day, I was able to use any equipment when I needed to. The hotel has a full-service restaurant attached to it, serving bar and pub-style offerings, as well as appetizers and entrées. The breakfast area have planbety of seating, and they offer hot choices, a bread and cereal station, a yogurt station and fresh and dried fruits. They have a menu board that displays the daily hot breakfast choices. Housekeeping comes every second day, and they will leave a note on your door to call them for service if you, as I did, accidentally leave your 'do not disturb' sign on your door. Overall, this is a very well-run and managed Marriott Property with many amenities and depending on the time of year, is affordable compared to other hotels in the area. read more

Absolutely LOVE this hotel! It's newly built and super clean. My family and I had a wonderful experience during our stay. To start off, the rooms are AMAZING! Very spacious and I love that they have a full kitchen available. Very nice if you are staying for a bit. The living room area is a nice size and the bathroom is very spacious. I love the walk in shower too. The biggest star of this hotel is how comfortable their beds are. Honestly it's like sleeping on a cloud. I think my husband and I are going to buy the heavenly mattress on their website along with the soft pillows. It's just THAT good! I'm happy that they offer their mattress and bedding for consumers on their website. And for a decently affordable price too! Will definitely come back here if we are visiting in the area again! The Element Ontario was an excellent hotel to stay at! The staff was very friendly and willing to help when needed. Out of all the hotels in the area, this has been the nicest that I've experienced. Conveniently next to the Toyota Arena and they have an Excellent Restaurant with great service. Well to start off if I could do zero stars I would I am currently a military service member currently staying at element in Ontario California too be honest this has been by far my worse stay at a hotel house keeping doesn't do a good job even though the hotel states , every other day they do refreshes I have not received a single one we have to personally ask for new towels and blankets when they are dirty because in 2 weeks we haven't received no change of linens no restocking of towels and to be honest, I don't know what they clean when the day I physically went to the front desk and asked for a cleaning It was still dirty wasn't sept wasn't mopped nor vaccummed none of my personal belongings were out I had everything out away in closets to ensure they can't use that as a excuse yet it still wasn't done and keep in mind again. I've been here for going on two weeks and I've only seen them once and again that was by my request not my there standard every week ( supposedly they do every other day refresh and 1 time a week a deep clean ) and when they cleaned I was scheduled for 1145 and she showed up at 1130 demanding us leave the room even though we have 4 kids and I was in the middle of changing a soiled diaper and She was very rude and disrespectful saying if I don't leave now she isn't going to do the cleaning even though she was 15 mins early to the time they said they were going to clean so I wasn't ready because I had 15 mins still and when she did clean she didn't clean properly as I stated earlier floors dirty bedding not changed or anything and when I requested a new cleaning, and to just explain to the manager what happened she came and was trying to justify with very poor attitude and sarcasm, she was trying to make it seem like it was my fault why it was still dirty and when I figured I'd go to the front desk to ask to speak the the manager they were rude not knowledgeable of what's going on even though the lady clearly stated she saw on my account there was multiple cases about incidents and none were resolved Then when I asked to speak to manager, somehow the manager is always out no matter the time even though they stated ( mon-Friday he is in and on Saturday's he isn't but sundays the assistant manager is ) and I have reservation for a whole month because I'm on leave after my deployment to visit family and when they thought that I had to be out out there a week even though my stay is a whole month they were knocking on my door for every 30 minutes saying what time are we leaving? What time are we leaving? Then when I finally spoke to a manager about how long I had my reservation for they stated they would charge me extra amount of dollars and then at night when the charge went through. It came to a three times the amount. Then one day later, they charge me an additional amount that I did not authorize. I've gone three times to speak to a manager and somehow they're always out spent three days since this incident with my charges and I haven't spoken to a manager yet because every time I attempt to speak to a manager they tell me he is ethier busy and will call me or that he is out " on a family emergency " . I will be attaching the charges she showed me on the computer that she doesn't know what they are for and the card of the manager she gave me that is never in when we attempt to talk to him. read more

This honestly has been the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We booked 2 queens and a pullout sofa. I put that there was 6 people on the reservation. They said they didn't have any queens and they could only accommodate for a king with a sofa bed. The bed in the room was not a king it was a queen bed size. The pull out mattress was soooo dirty we asked them to change it and they said they would and put bedding. We called cause they hadn't came up and they said they ran out and they would "spray solution on it". It was still this dirty when we came back. They said they could give us the original room we booked the next day we were excited, the next day I called about the room change and they said actually we don't have any. We just kept getting promised things and they would fall thru each time. We called for 6 extra towels they gave us 2. They just kept playing in our face all weekend. I would never book here again. I asked for a refund and they said I couldn't get because I booked through beneplace and then when I asked if I would have book through ur site would I have gotten a refund and they said wellll not necessary we would just give points on ur account. So don't book here. The outside looks nice but it's so small and dirty. read more

I have stayed here a handful of times. I love the element hotels. The gyms are actually decent. Happy hour on weekdays are great. Breakfast is solid. This time breakfast was less than perfect without anyone cooking. Most of the rooms I've stayed at here are great, I like the extra room and living area. This time I was upgraded to a Common Suite, it was unique, huge living space, and i had it all to myself. You need a key card to access the common suite and a key card to get into the room. The room was lockable with a shower, bathroom, TV and a bed. I was worried about locking myself out of the room in the common suite but was adamant on keeping a key with me, so it didn't happen. Being on a work trip I was unable to enjoy the entire room but it was nice to have and I can see it being really nice if I was there more than 1 night this time and space to share. It was a little unclean, the common area had popcorn in the ground under the tables and there was hair in the shower and the sink. Other than that the bed was clean and really comfy. I'll stay here again when I am in the area. read more

1st time staying at an Element. Wasn't too sure. Got here late at night so thought it was a cute area of apartment condo homes and shops. Had a bit of trouble finding parking like what everyone said. Limited but finally found one. Checked in went well. Room was clean and spacious. Liked the full size fridge and stove top. Bathroom was new and clean. Was pleased with the room. We were tired and hungry. Got pizza to eat in. Ready for bed and to relax. Was glad it was a new and spacious room, quiet and accommodating. Was ready to crash. Breakfast next day was ok. It was a bit odd. Not the usual breakfast we were used to but there was a little bit of everything. The area was clean. The workers were nice. They do wrap up promptly so make sure you get here on time. I like how there is always tea out if you ever need a drink. Overall it was an ok place.. we did stay in the Anaheim Element as well. If we didn't we may have thought all Elements were the same. But that one by far was way nicer. Breakfast as well. But this was our 1st stop in Cali and it was ok. We stay in a lot of hotels to try them out. This was passable. Not sure if we will be back in this area or choose to stay here again but for what it's worth it's not bad for a couple nights. We checked in early part of the day. There was not too many available parking. Most of them were marked with either car-pool, electrical car charging and some others. There were few spots open quite a bit away from the front door. By the way, just park at the back where the pool is and walk in thru the back instead of the hassle of trying to check in while parked at the front loading zone. Once we got into the room, all looked very clean but smelled funky. Went to the front desk right away and requested a room change. Well. The staff on site that afternoon said there was no room available for the price category that we paid for. Yes, we did pay the lowest room category that was available. She said will accommodate our needs but will be next day which falls on Saturday. ok. We can bear with that for one night. Upon close examination, even though the bathroom appears to be newer, there were signs of mold everywhere, the vent was very dirty. Come to find out that the floor we were staying on is dog friendly or occupant across the room were sneaking in two dogs. There was no room service for next two days. We were not told of such. Day before checking out, we asked for fresh towels and trash needing emptied out. However, this request was never taken care of and had to personally pick up the towels from the front desk. This explains why there were other room with trash cans that remained out side the door. Very unsightly and definitely not worthy of stay. On the first day here we had a very well time what we mostly did was lay in the lounging of are exquisite two bed hotel room. What i can say about this place so far is that there burgers here were amazing and very fulling. On the second day here we had there free breakfast ththen had MANY options but overall I got cereal a muffin an ssome other stuff overall amazing hotel perfect for our visit. We come here often like 2 times a month often becuase we live all the way in Vegas never the less as someone who is always coming back and forth this place will fit your standerds standards. My suggestion go to happy our and before you do purchase the app you will get 10$ off wich is very helpful. There wasn't much criticism here other then the rooms being cold and blanket being stuck in the bed but maybe I'm just to weak to pull them out anyway 5 stars fr. read more

5-night stay. Service at FD varies between very good (one person) and acceptable (everyone else). $10 for parking each day -- the suburban property junk fee special. Housekeeping comes every other day. They did not come on Saturday (when I was out of the room from 8 am to 8 pm), 3 days with no tidying... Nice rooms, great hotel gym. Pleasant pool area. I was looking forward to staying at the Element Ontario, especially since I had a pleasant experience at another Element hotel in NorCal. Unfortunately, this was not the case. When I woke up in the morning, I walked to the bathroom to see it covered in ants!! (see attached pictures). As I went downstairs to inform the front desk, I saw one of the employees (Jessica) in the elevator, who did not even greet me. What kind of hospitality is this? Anywho, the front desk wanted to spray the bathroom (even while I was still in it), even though I was checking out later that day and would not be spending another night (ever again!). Two reasons why I decided to try out the Element. First, my trip to Element was in Bend, OR of all places, and I really enjoyed my stay there even though it was way too short. Second, the nearby Residence Inn Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga pissed me off with the stupid hotel policies. Seriously, one parking pass during a festival weekend for a two queen room? And booting everyone out literally at 11 am. Yeah, it was time to try something the Element, which honestly looks like a better property from the outside. First things first, the service here is good. For a festival weekend, they give one parking permit for a king room and two parking permits for queen rooms...logic! Aside from that, they were able to get me early check-ins with my Ambassador status, but no room upgrades since the hotel was sold out. Also, unfortunately only my personal room was eligible for 4 pm checkout (I had booked four overall rooms for the weekend). At least everyone was communicated upfront and I was not surprised by anything on check-in. And in general, everyone I talked to at the front desk was really friendly, including Alex who helped sort me out on check-in. Room itself is great! I got a king studio, so it was a big open space. I think of the Element as a modern Residence Inn. Lots of sunlight, with white walls giving off comfortable vibes. Bed was comfortable. Sofa was great, and the sofa bed did end up being used all weekend. Bathroom was great with the huge walk-in shower. Room was a great home for the weekend. Location is pretty good, especially if you're going to an event at Toyota Arena. More importantly to me, it was way closer to all the food. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Element. Much better than the Residence Inn for sure. Definitely would want to stay here again in the future for festivals. read more

This location will never have my business ever again. My husband got a severe fever and we needed to extend our room 1 night and they would not accommodate due to being sold out. We're from out of state and having to pack up and find another hotel while he isn't feeling well isnt right, he needs to rest, There should always be x amount of rooms on reserve and priority for return customers. I told the manager "your going to put someone else in this room when there was someone very sick in here" he's all "yes we're sold out" They can care less No priority or care for return customers. We've been coming here several years once a year, and they've always had belgian waffles in the continental breakfast. Today we were sadly disappointed to discover when we wake up as we were excited about our belgium waffles, of course that there were none to be made. It was unfortunate because of course, the eggs are made of powder and the sausages are made of cloned sheep meat. The only thing edible in the continental breakfast was the coffee and yogurt.Of course.Everyone fills up their plate, but as you watch them eat, you can see that they end up throwing everything away. Of course, as we leave sadly disappointed, we look at other patrons next to us.They're sad disappointed looks that have fallen upon their face as well. My wife and I had a strange feeling that others were looking in search of desperate need for a top floor to jump. Also, as I was sleeping last night, i'm pretty sure I heard of elephants came through the hotel but the room is nice and it just seems like maybe the walls are in.So bringing some earbuds. I stayed here for one night with my kids after flying in, before driving to the desert, and it exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness is a top priority for us, and this hotel was spotless. The room was immaculate, which immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The value for the cost was excellent, especially with breakfast included for the kids--it was a convenient and stress-free start to our day. One of the highlights was the attached restaurant, which offered great quality food and made dinner plans effortless. Everything about our stay felt well thought out and convenient. To my surprise, my kids said they even liked it better than the Hyatt Regency we stayed at the following nights. That's high praise, considering the Hyatt is a much larger resort. I've stayed at another Element property in Buffalo, NY, which was a bit run-down, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this location was far superior in every way. I'd absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained place to stay. read more

If you're looking for a hotel close to the Toyota Arena, the Element is literally steps away. Checking in was a breeze, the front desk employee was knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel was clean and modern. Every room comes with a kitchenette with all the necessities. My only complaint about the room would be the water pressure in the sink, it was extremely slow so it took quite a while just to wash your hands. Other than that, the room had everything you needed especially for an extended stay. I stayed for one night after attending a concert across the street and will definitely consider staying again in the future. Element, in my opinion, is the best Marriott experience. This location is by far my favorite!

We had an enjoyable stay at the Element. It's a good choice for the price. Pros: -they were nice enough to let us check in much earlier than check-in time when we got into town. -Parking and breakfast included. I thought the breakfast was good compared to other hotels. -close proximity to airport. -Modern, spacious and kitchenette included. Cons: -Noisy, mainly because of our room's close proximity to the lobby. The door had a sizable gap under it which allowed noise and light in the room. We could hear lobby music and people coming and going. It would definitely help to seal the space under the door off. -as others mentioned, poor sink water pressure. read more

I love this hotel the moment i set foot on it, front desk Jamie was very friendly and helpful... very clean, i love how the lobby is clean and organised... if i knew this hotel is super cool and rate is inexpensive i would have stayed before already. The only thing i recommend is maybe they need to change the carpet in their elevator because it is easy to get dirty because of the material and color. First time, here at Element Ontario. From the outside, it's a nice property, clean, good parking....then you have to check in. There was no one at the desk at 1230a, we called the phone and no one answered. The front desk hostess came out with food in her mouth wearing house slides. I would have assumed there was a dress code for welcoming guests to your property. Room 2XX had a foul stench coming from the sink. We checked in late so I plugged the drain with paper towels to slow down the smell and run the AC on high. It was a smell combo of sewer and decomposition. Yuck At least the bed was comfy. At 918a, this is what's left for your hotel breakfast. The sign say 630-930a. This is sad to feed your guest prison breakfast. The excuse that I heard was that they didn't get their food shipment. And their employee is now on 2.5 hours OT while the front desk person stands and watches their other employee work her ass off to close the breakfast area. If you stay here , make sure you get a clean, non decomposing room and they have a breakfast like the Marriott Brand is supposed to have. read more

Two minute walk to the Toyota Arena! Hubby and I were in town to see Jo Koy, and we really didn't feel like driving back to OC after the show. Quick Google search for hotels nearby, and the Element appears to be just across the street. Let me tell you, the Element is practically on property with the arena. After the show ended, we snagged some dirty dogs from the sidewalk vendors (they take Venmo!), and by the time I finished my hot dog, we already crossed Ontario Parkway Pkwy and in the hotel lobby. We then proceeded to purchase a frozen burrito, Haagen dazs ice cream, and a couple of sodas from the hotel snack shop and headed up to our room which is thoughtfully appointed with a fridge, microwave, dishes, glasses and silverware! The only bummer was trying to stream our phone/tablet onto the TV. Their website tv.marriott.com would not work despite being on the hotel WiFi. The kid working the front desk was honest about not knowing anything about it, so couldn't help. Oh well, there are worse things in life lol Oh, this place is also pet-friendly! read more

I organized a small family reunion & the studio commons suite is the best way to have a group of 10 stay together in your own corner of the hotel. It's on the north side & includes 4 separate bedrooms connected by a large common area that includes a kitchen, living area & a large dining table that can easily accommodate 20 people standing & sitting to gather for meals. There are only 4 of these suites in the whole building - one on each floor. The hotel's website did not have enough pictures to showcase this awesome suite! It's such a deal! We loved it! Each of the rooms had no kitchenette but a small fridge & microwave like regular hotel rooms. All area's were clean during our stay. I didn't wake up in time each morning to try the free breakfast. The hotel lobby had lots of natural light & was a lovely, air conditioned area to relax. If it's not too hot, the outdoor patio area on the east side of the hotel is pleasant as well. If the temperature's too high, the pool is a great place to cool off, with plenty of towels available. Nam at the front desk was very helpful during my booking of the studio commons. Another major plus is how close this location is to stores & things to do such as concerts at the Toyota Arena, Big Al's arcade & bowling, Top Golf, Target, Sam's Club & the Ontario Mills. There's also a happening restaurant/bar called Eureka on the hotel property that I didn't get to try. I'd love to plan a girl's weekend away in the future & stay here again in the studio commons suite! read more

After a long day of car travel and exhausted, we checked in for one night en route to Vegas. We had a late check-in which went smooth. Got the room, all seemed ok. It "looked" clean so we sat down for a few minutes while the room cooled down. Not long after, I went thru my normal routine of spraying down the counter and shower with Microban. When I went into the bathroom, there were dead ants in the tub (multiple ants). When I went to spray the kitchen counters, dead ants there as well, and live ants crawling the walls in the bedroom. I immediately called the desk, was told only one person was on duty and hotel was sold out. A few minutes later he called me back with one room available said they AC wasn't working in it. He did apologize and I know the issues were not his but it was gross. We checked out right away, got in the car, and contemplated booking another hotel but decided to proceed to Vegas. Stayed here recently for a one night stay using Bonvoy points. I've enjoyed stays at other Element properties (Summerlin, NV and NYC) so decided to try out. Pros: - Brand new building, hence the facilities are clean, fresh - Well-equipped gym facilities - Free parking - Lots of nearby food options - Pretty cheap points redemption level (only 20,000 Bonvoy points for a Sat-Sun one night stay) Cons: - You could kill yourself slipping on the shower floor - Inconsistent check-out policy: I called on the morning of my check-out day to request a late checkout (2pm per my Gold Bonboy benefit), told there are too many late checkout requests and can't accomodate; told check out is at 11am (it was 11:30am when i called) and I must vacate the room as soon as possible. I checked the Bonvoy app and it says 12pm. I tell the front desk that but she insists I need to check out ASAP. WTF. I tell her we'll check out by 12pm. We go to the front desk to speak to the manager. I explain the situation to him and he tells me other nearby hotels are changing their checkout time to 11am (so?! if they jumped off a bridge, would you do the same? And this isn't Vegas. I can't remember the last time a hotel set its checkout time at 11am otherwise). I ask why the change has not been reflected on the Bonvoy website (he says they're working on changing it - to have not done so yet is NOT a guest's problem, it's the hotel's). I ask why they don't inform guests of this check out time when they check in or least put up signage indicating it. No response. Overall, it's a good property. Too bad the people working there have no business working there. Will be sending a correspondence about this property to Marriott directly. Never will stay there again. read more

This place need to train there check in host. Among other things. I arrived for check in at 2:35 pm. Was told they were cleaning my room right now, and to have a seat for 10 mins and he will call us up for check in. I thought ok fine cause check in time is at 3:00 pm. After waiting for over 20 mins. I had to go ask was room ready. He look and say yes I can get you a room now. Cool, or so I thought was cool. Upon arriving to my room with my wife. He gave us a double bed room. Which keeps in mind I book a king size bed room two in a have months early. We immediately call down to desk and told them we need the right size bed and room. Diego the desk guy go on to say I'm sorry we overbooked the hotel and that all we have. He even went as far to say if I want to cancel the reservation we can come back down in do so. WTF!!!! Our event across the street at the Toyota center starts in less than 3 hours. No time to go hunt down another room. So we get off phone and try to turn on light in restroom, lights done work. I marched down to front desk and tell em WTF. Long store short there another desk clerk some Asian guy tells us that we have to place a room key card in key reader behind the door to make light work. It sure would been nice to be told that upon check in. I go further to tell him about our room. And being the nice guy he is. He found us another room which was an upgrade to a suite. I think he could tell how hot I was and was ready to go like a firecrackers on the Fourth of July. As a guess that booked over two months early. It's not my issue if you over booked the hotel. I only want what I paid for and at the time I need it. Don't stay here if you need a room cause surly the guess service guy don't care. He was very non chant about the whole thing. Basically take it or leave it attitude. Needless to say. I will not be back. read more

From home to this hotel I honestly couldn't tell the difference! This hotel is super cute well kept up the rooms and like walking into a room at home I think that was the point when they designed it! POOR MANAGEMENT !!! During this pandemic - this is the worst place to stay - their housekeeping is by appointment only and HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE IS ONCE A WEEK - this is alarming and very nasty. No wonder the laundry facility is very dirty and unkept. You can tell that the Manager doesn't care as long as guests keeps checking in. It's newly built but since they can only clean your room after 7 days , the dirt/junk piles up. For my few weeks of stay here , I've never seen housekeeping Vacuum the hallway, disinfect the elevators and tables at the lobby, nor clean the Laundry room , NOT ONCE. I love Marriott hotels but this by far is the dirtiest branch I've stayed. Housekeeping Manager is worthless. read more

I had a big problem with this hotel we requested two rooms and it was confirmed but when we arrived at 12 midnight. and they only had a room for us so we had to look for a different hotel for our friend They did not offer us help to get a different hotel, that part still ok the second day we woke up with a lots of problems we found lots of ants on our bed my leg was bitten more than 20 times I complaint to front desk and requested to speak to a manager they told me to wait till 8:30am waited till 9:30am she never came out of her office send three emails showing videos and pictures till now no answer I dont understand this type of customer service. hope corporate will read this review and they can get in contact with me Im sure they are affraid that I will give them the hospital bill. read more

Great location, very clean and friendly staff. Room was good, comfy bed, good lighting etc. Terrible water pressure in the bathroom sink. Literally a trickle. I even went under the sink to make sure the valve was on. Shower was somewhat better but it should have a handheld head to make up for low pressure. At check in I couldn't use my Apple wallet Bonvoy card because they have a credit card terminal from 1999. My neighborhood deli has better technology. They offer a mobile phone room key on the website. Not available when we checked in. The attached restaraunt, Eureka, was annoying. Ordered food on their app. App said 6:45pm. Cold Food was ready at 7:40pm. Food would probably be good if it was hot and even remotely close to on time but wouldn't know. read more

Most of the hotels in Ontario are horrible but The element is where I usually stay when I'm in Ontario. The four times that I've been I've always had clean rooms & good service at check in. They have most amenities you can find at other hotels plus electric car chargers and the hotel layout isn't confusing. It's one of the safer locations in the city as well. The only problem I ever had was they gave me the wrong room but that issue was solved right away. read more
