Online, I came across Yooper Shirts. Since my ordering experience was so good, I thought I'd add this review! I was impressed when I called to inquire about sizes; the customer service was really friendly via the phone and they double checked some sizes and explained the fit to me. I placed an order and my only real caveat might have been the prices at first since they were a bit above average. My order arrived very quickly to California in just a few days. The sweatshirt I received was top-notch quality and I really liked the design--these elements, high quality material and designs, are definitely the strong suits of Yooper Shirts (pardon the pun). And, I could see why they might charge a bit more too. In person, once I got to their store on my visit, I was able to visit and see many more cool items besides the sweatshirts I had purchased. I read a bit about Yooper Shirts' history and found out it's a real local gem: They apparently began in Ishpeming, (say that 3 times quickly), and, over the years, grew into printing their own merchandise for clothing and opening a retail location in downtown Marquette. I definitely support small businesses like this and the small town atmosphere they organically grow in.

I have had a fair amount of computer repairs done over the past 12 years. My experiences with…read morerepair places have ranged from as expected to downright bad. Recently I had a sudden PC failure, and it was of no fault of my own. In spite of trying many things, in the end I had to get a repair done and the place I usually take it to was unable to provide services. So, I called around and I rather got no return call, the business had very limited days and hours, and if I did get someone the quote was so high that I would be better off buying a new computer. I did call Brian on the suggestion of many and he returned my call within an hour. He found out what was going on and by that evening I had my laptop dropped off to him. By 8am the very next day he already had my laptop up and running and ready to be returned. Best part was, the price to repair was so shocking to me because I was expecting to have to scrape my bank account down to nothing (meaning just a tad under $200), but nope. The repair price was beyond what I felt was fair. Try like 50% less than I thought it would be. Not only that, but he actually dropped my laptop back off right to by door, went the extra mile to provide my files on a jump drive even tho he saved them and had them reinstalled back on laptop. He also provided me with a few little extra items and one being a book he wrote called, "Where's The Real You In Technology". Nope, no extra charge for that. His service was beyond stellar. He was kind, he listened, and he laid out the plan. NO surprises, no confusion, and in the end no extra stress for me such as wondering what was going on, waiting days, if not weeks to get my computer back, and no worries about surprise price increases. So, if you need someone to be honest, return your calls, be willing to go beyond expectation to make sure you get your computer back in working order in reasonable time, keeps you in the know, and above all... Beyond reasonable prices for his services and work..... this is the business you need to call. He has me as a returning customer until he no longer does it. You can't go wrong here. I missed the text message from my mom telling me that my Grandpa Bob had died two years ago. My…read moreaunt had been concerned after she'd not heard back from him earlier that day, and by the time of my evening class for grad school, he'd passed peacefully in his house. Living in town, it meant that by the next day, my parents, my cousins, my sister, and my aunt and uncle were all assembled at his house, all scared. Through fatigue and sadness that damped the air, we all wondered what would happen next. Some of us wondered if we'd see our other aunt and uncle. Part of me wishes we didn't knowing now what I do now. About a year ago, my uncle -- or perhaps my aunt Anne through my uncle's phone -- texted my dad his desires to drain the complete estate dry through a drawn out legal battle with Cheryl and my dad. We don't know why they did, other then perhaps maybe feeling ever-so-slightly slighted that they couldn't refinish their kitchen sooner. Brogan & Yonkers ensured that my grandfather's estate was executed in accordance with the trust and his wishes. They ensured that they weren't able to abuse the clauses contained in it to try to draw out a legal battle. They will never undo the misery of knowing just how little the duo I used to consider my uncle and aunt think of us, of course, but if Scot cared, maybe I would've met him more than once in my life. They greeted me, however, with a smile and with respect every time that i knocked on their door with questions, concerns, or more paperwork to drop off, and they treated my family with more dignity and respect than Scot's lawyer (who continues still to misspell my name) did. Thank you, Eryka. You genuinely did a great job. This should've all been over a year ago, but even though it isn't, you've ensured a great value within the work you've done for my aunt and my family as a result: something to at least offset the pain of losing a man I respected so greatly.
