There seem to be a lot of people hating on these guys, but my experience was overall really good. Why not 5 stars? The scheduling was a bit of a mess. Had an appointment for Tuesday which was canceled at the last minute and then rescheduled for the following Friday but then received a call later on in the afternoon saying "Oops Friday won't work how about Thursday?" Anyhow that was a bit irritating after making sure someone was at home and available for Tuesday and all that. At any rate, technician Jericho arrived within the appointment window on Thursday. He was friendly and efficient and fixed the issue with our Whirlpool washing machine in about 15 minutes. (Service was scheduled through Costco warranty department, so I did not choose Electric Express.) read more

I would strongly advise against using Electric Express Appliance Repair. Avoid them at all costs. If you are under warranty and the manufactory assigns Electric Express Appliance Repair, immediately ask the manufacturer to assign your repair to a different repair company. This company was assigned to repair my Maytag washing machine under warranty in December of 2025. The washer has been unusable for weeks. Electric Express has sent a technician to my home two separate times, and the problem has still not been fixed. Each visit involved time spent simply looking at the machine and scrolling a tablet, but no actual work attempted. I still do not have a working washer and have no clear timeline for repair. Communication has been just as bad. I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor on Jan 6th and no one ever called me back. I just asked again today for a supervisor and they told me one could call me back in three days. Three days to speak to a supervisor? There is no follow-up, no accountability, and no sense of urgency, despite the appliance being completely nonfunctional. From my experience, Electric Express is unreliable and unreasonable. Multiple failed visits, no escalation, and no supervisor response is unacceptable. If you value your time or expect an appliance repair company to actually fix the issue, I would not trust this one. read more

This place is, frankly, a scam. We paid over $400 for a set-cost service call after being referred by Whirlpool directly to Electric Express. We were under the impression that this is just about the only place authorized to work on Whirlpool refrigerators. Our refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling, though the freezer section was limping along for a few weeks until we called Whirlpool for service. After waiting almost four weeks for the appointment, the tech shows up and, after barely listening about the problem, simply replaced the motherboard without checking any of the mechanicals. Then we were instructed to defrost the freezer for two days before turning it back on. He didn't check the defrost heater or thermostat at all. I had to press him for a diagnostic of the problem. I then asked if he was sure that changing the board would fix the problem, and he shrugged and said that if it didn't, we could call them again and reschedule ANOTHER service call, which could mean another week or two without a working fridge. He was totally indifferent to our problem, to be honest, and it was irksome. We did that and the fridge actually worked for about 3-4 months.. then the problem happened again. I did the same defrost protiocol, as apparently the defroster wasn't working and the freezer vents froze over again, blocking cold air to from the freezer to the fridge. This seems to have temporarily fixed the problem, but the vents are freezing over again and the fridge temperature fluctuates wildly without any changes in temp settings. So we don't even know if the replacement board helped, or if it was simply because of the manual defrost WE did after the service call. Ridiculous. This is clearly more than a motherboard issue, but we will not be calling this place back. I just ordered a GE replacement fridge that won't require us to use certain repair places like this one. I don't like writing negative reviews, but sadly, this one is warranted. Avoid. read more

Spoke with the technician about how to find my house, what his ETA was, etc. The technician confirmed he had the right contact information and understood the directions on how to find the right unit and said he was 10 minutes out. Technician never showed up. Ever. He told headquarters that he called multiple times knocked on the doors tried everything, and there was no response from us and that was just simply not true. He had our address, we had our ETA. He had our phone numbers. He just simply lied and never showed up. Such a pain because this is an issue where we have a whole load of clothes, stuck in a washing machine and now after waiting almost 2 weeks the entire washing machine is full of rotten clothes. First he called and cancelled our appt because he said he needed to order parts. Our refrigerator water dispenser stopped working and then right before appt it started working again. I echo the sentiments stated by Chase. Unfortunately, this company won the service contract with Whirlpool who distributes Maytag among other brands. My issue is that my machine sometimes fails to spin and the clothes are sopping wet. At other times, it has gone through the spin cycle but the clothes are noticeably damp. They can be put in the dryer but now the dryer has to run extra long. Thus company is ripping off Whirlpool, because whirlpool compensates this company for service visits if your machine is under warranty. I received my machine in September of 2025 and have a "one year warranty". This company wanted me to give them my credit card info so they could charge me $175 if they didn't do anything. The reason?- Whirlpool won't pay them if nothing is done. So let me tell you what the service technician did when he came- he did nothing and talked for about 10 minutes. His suggestion was for me to run the drain and spin cycle again. Wow! Unbelievable. I like to see him tell his wife to do that! Anyway, he left. I come ti find out that his company advised their technicians to not spend more than 10 - 15 minutes per call. Wow! They can easily make four calls in one hour being compensated by Whirlpool $175 each time. That's $700 an hour! I got my machine fin Costco so they're trying to help me with my issue. I told them under no circumstances do I want Electric Express to come to my house and claim to find nothing. To add insult to injury, they said if they find my problem is a "use and care" issue, the warranty wouldn't cover that. The technician claimed I was probably overloading the machine. Really???? My cleaning lady called me one day when the set of king sheets were sopping wet when the cycle was finished. No way would she transfer them to the dryer. Electric Express- are you listening? One set of king sheets! Is that a use or care issue. The truth if the matter is your technician is either lazy or incompetent or both. Have you ever heard of doing a diagnostic test??? If Electric Express was in the business of repairing cars and you went in because your "check engine" light was on, they'd probably "fix" it by using a permanent marker and blacking out the screen so you couldn't see the light! I had an extremely negative experience with this company, specifically with Jacob Abramovich, and I feel obligated to warn other customers. Jacob came to service our Whirlpool appliance and was unprofessional from the moment he arrived. He repeatedly threw his tools directly onto our marble countertops, and I had to ask him multiple times to stop and be more careful. Throughout the service he was cussing, visibly frustrated, and creating an uncomfortable environment in our home. Things got worse when he began ramming and forcing the appliance instead of handling it properly. Because of this reckless approach, he ended up breaking our oven door. When it happened, he loudly cursed again and showed even more anger instead of taking responsibility. What disturbed us most happened after the appointment. After I shared feedback with the company's point of contact, Jacob personally called me--yelling, accusing me of lying, and saying he was the owner of the company. At no point did he show concern for the damage or the experience we had. Instead, he escalated the situation and made us feel even more uncomfortable and unsafe. In my view, this type of behavior is completely unacceptable for any service provider. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company. The lack of professionalism, the damage caused, and the aggressive follow-up phone call made this one of the worst service interactions I have ever had. read more

They came to work on a new whirlpool double oven with issues on the top oven door. When it closes it doesn't feel like it is properly seated. It is also not square with the other door. The technician said he has never been able to resolve an issue like this by changing the hinges. He checked to see if the door was leaking heat and said it wasn't. He left with the door still not square with the other door and it still does not feel properly seated when closed. So our two issues were not addressed. Whirlpool will do nothing because this company said that the oven is working properly. We have no recourse for getting our issues resolved. I do not recommend using this company for oven repair and since they are the only company whirlpool uses in our area I don't recommend buying whirlpool either. PLEASE READ: I wish I had read YELP first. There are an unusually high number of 1 Star review here, ... I wish I go give them zero stars. This company has very very shady business practices. I agree that other poster(s) that you should find another option for service. I was directed to them by the appliance manufacturer, and wish I had been able to wait for a more local business to service this appliance. This operation only comes to our town once a week, so the delays are annoying and costly. They charged nearly $200 for a service call that I was told would be deducted from the final price (of course, they deny that I was told that with e vague apology because, they claim, I misunderstood them) The service guy stopped by, and the service call consisted of him taking out his iPad and ordering the part, saying it was obvious from the description of the symptoms what was wrong...so that could have been done over the phone). Next I had to wait two weeks for the next time they would have the parts, and then be back doing calls in my town. So, with coolers full of food and ice, I waited. Before they arrived they called me four times to be sure that I had completely defrosted the refrigerator, which by the way worked all the while, but was not as cool as usual. When he finally returned, the first thing he asked me was, "Are you sure you want to do this?" The job took from doorbell ring to departure 30 minutes! That included another iPad operation of signing several waivers for their liability. The "labor" was about $600. What was the labor, you may ask? Unplug two parts, and plug in the new two parts, all the while assuming that they even needed to be replaced. As for the bill.... I looked up the price for the parts that they guessed I would need, and was up-charged about $100 more than cost for each, PLUS they charged me for the shipping, Plus (surprise!) 3 more percent for the crime of using a credit card, plus ther .... in case you're following allow, this "service" cost $1,200! And here's the secret, the thorough defrosting of the refrigerator, and restarting it would have been all it needed. But... they never told me that. By the time this was done I felt like a hostage. Like an ATM. I was stuck, because of the urgency that I was perceiving, and because the fear that I might have to replace the $3,600 refrigerator. My advice .... steer clear of this company, they are an uncaring, mechanically-operated company with dubious standards. Also, everything I needed to have done here was easily illustrated on YouTube, and the parts were available on Amazon. I was shocked, in hindsight, how easily this work could be done. The advertisement for Lowe's warranty says it is covered day 1. I called Lowe's hotline but was rerouted to Whirlpool's hotline, which was closed for the weekend. I found Electric Express Appliance through Amana's website--why couldn't Lowe's point me to the Manufacturer's site instead of leaving me hanging? This is not a post about Lowe's. This is about Electric Express Appliance. I can only speak to my own experience. And just like the Ghostbusters, they came to the rescue! I was able to make an appointment for Monday morning. Eddie (their technician) was the MVP - diagnosed the issue, ordered the part, said it will take a couple days. No zombie-walking through customer service loops, just straight-up, customer care. Their communication was on point - sending email updates about the part arrival, being flexible with scheduling, and confirming appointments via both email and phone. When dealing with a broken dishwasher, that's all you want! Eddie, provided exceptional service. He was professional, thoroughly explained the issue and repair process, and efficiently installed the upgraded motor/subpump. No proton pack needed, just good old-fashioned skilled repair work. No drama, no runaround, he just fixed it. Now with a supercharged pump, I can hear it CLEAN. So when your appliance gives up the ghost...Who ya gonna call? EEA! If you have the option to use another company, do it. It took them three visits to my home to "fix" my washer. They resolved one issue and caused another -- now it leaks through my wall into the staircase and downstairs bathroom. When I asked them to send another technician to review the work, they refused. Their excuse? The technician claimed he ran a full cycle and found no issues. On the day he completed the work, he left without walking me through anything. I was in a meeting, and he just left. When I submitted my initial complaint, he lied and said I had a handyman working on the unit while he was there. That's completely false. I've never had a handyman work on the washer. My brother stopped by briefly to drop off items and wasn't anywhere near the washer. I told them this, and they doubled down, saying the technician completed the service and someone else must have caused the issue. I called on 9/29/25 at 10am and asked to speak with the manager, Raya. They said she'd call me. Instead, a rep called at 11:30am saying Raya would call by the end of the day. I had to follow up again at 4:30pm, waited on hold for 20 minutes, and was told she'd call me the next morning. She finally did -- on 9/30/25 -- just to say they wouldn't send another technician and there was nothing they could do. I asked her to send that in writing so I could contact the manufacturer. She never did. I sent an email outlining our conversation and asked her to confirm. Her response? She twisted my words and claimed I acknowledged my brother worked on the unit. Again -- he did not. I replied to clarify, and said that if she didn't respond, I'd take that as agreement that he didn't work on it and that they refused to send another technician. No response, of course. Had a tech from another company come out to do a warranty repair who could not have cared less and didn't even attempt to fix our refrigerator, but it was an intermittent problem so we waited. Fast forward 8 months, problem returns and Whirlpool sent Electric Express Appliance out to do the warranty repair on our refrigerator which was intermittently freezing food in the refrigerator side. Triso leveled the fridge, evened up the doors (which tech from other company said couldn't be done) and fixed the gap in the gasket. He was knowledgeable, professional and fixed our fridge. He also said if it comes back, he knows which parts to replace. Very pleased. read more

I hired Electric Express Appliance through my Choice Home Warranty plan to fix my dryer. Since I couldn't be home, I asked my neighbor to sign off on the work. When the technician arrived, I had a camera set up in my garage for peace of mind. As soon as he walked in, he immediately shut down and unplugged my camera. That was a huge red flag. He then proceeded with the job but left without requesting a signature--despite having been very insistent about it earlier. Luckily, I caught the whole thing on another camera and even had my neighbor run after him to get the paperwork signed. I sent the company the full video showing exactly how their technician unplugged my camera, and I've been calling repeatedly ever since. To this day, management has never returned my calls. My new Maytag washer, bought in July 2025, stopped working on September 9 and was reported to Maytag. Maytag dispatched a technician from Electric Express Appliance, but he couldn't fix it and said the problem was the outlet. I then hired an electrician, replaced the outlet and breaker, and the washer still did not work. Now this company demanded proof--an invoice and report from the electrician--which only caused more delays. I complied and emailed everything to them, copying Maytag. Still, no technician has returned because they claim they need another work order from Maytag before servicing the washer. All of this is complete nonsense and a waste of time. Both Maytag and Electric Express were copied in the same email where I detailed everything and asked for either a repair or replacement. I should not have to spend endless hours on hold, retelling the same story, while Express Appliance avoids taking responsibility. The lack of coordination, accountability, and urgency is unacceptable. To this day, the washer is still not repaired, and I'm stuck in a loop of finger-pointing between them and Maytag. If you value your time and sanity, avoid Express Appliance. They fail to deliver basic customer service and hide behind red tape instead of fixing the problem. Horrible read more

Was able to get an appt online for the morning of the next day. Jericho a new technician that covers the East Bay hailing from Sears was friendly, smart and assessed and fixed the problem quickly - Five stars! A concierge who was also lovely calls you up before appt to get more details and also finalize the initial service payment. Note there is a small $5 fee to pay this w/ credit card. read more

Whirlpool arranged a repair of my washer which is "dancing" across the laundry room. First, the arrival window was 8-11. Jericho showed up at 12:15. His "service" was to tell me "you cannot put big loads of towels in the machine - it cannot handle it and so the dancing across the room." So now who do I call - is the machine level? Was forced to call Electric Express again to replace my refrigerator gasket which had been replaced last November. I was quoted via text no charge for the part which was under warranty and $87.50 for the service call which I agreed to, however when the part was in and I tried to schedule the call they said they needed to charge a Labor charge as well even though I had written proof of what they had previously quoted me. I had no choice but to agree to this or they wouldn't come out. They tried to blow it off as a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding. I had written proof. It took the service technician 9 minutes and 20 seconds to replace the part and it cost me $317.00. When it comes time to replace any of my Jenn Air appliances, it won't be with a Jenn Air or any of the Whirlpool brands, as this is the type of service company the recommend in this area. read more

RUN don't walk away from them. I am not lying when I say that this company is reason enough to never buy Whirlpool in the Bay Area. Apparently they are the only service provider who can honor their warranties. A little bizarre but okay. Whirlpool scheduled them to come out and help us. They lied to us not once, but twice about being unable to service our appliance. They told us that they didn't service our model. Whirlpool then rescheduled them and they told us the same. We reached out to Whirlpool to figure out why they sent us to the same people and they said that they are in their database as being able to service this specific model so they shouldn't be saying that they can't. Whirlpool apparently had to have a conversation with them to tell them that they can't say that they don't service a model when they are registered as being able to do that. Their customer service is abysmal. They never told us why they lied to us about it. They said "they had an explanation" but failed to show us. I don't care how good or bad their repair people are, a company to just straight out lie to you like that which resulted in us having a broken dryer (under warranty) for longer than we should have is just wrong. My 8 year old top mount refrigerator stopped cooling; but the freezer was working fine. The Whirlpool website use Electric Express Appliance for their warranty and repair service. Making an appointment through the Whirlpool website was very easy, and was able to get one for the following day. Jacob the repair technician called me prior to his arrival. After a brief diagnostic test; it was determined that the jazz board was not working. Fortunately Jacob had the jazz board on his truck and quickly installed the new board. After 24 hours to let the refrigerator defrost; plugged it back on and refrigerator started cooling immediately and maintained the temperature. I have no idea on how much other companies charge for this type of service; but I was just happy to have the refrigerator working properly. Marco Coronado from Electric Express Appliance was here for 20 minutes this morning at 6:50 am for an appointment originally scheduled on Monday, then moved to Friday 8-12 noon, and then 7-9 am Friday. Our Whirlpool dishwasher was not fixed for a service call that was rescheduled 3 times with Electric Express Appliance. The service call was for a water leak to the right side near the bottom of the door of the dishwasher that was determined by the Best Buy installer as a manufacturer issue. Marco started to run the cycle but said his service call was only 15-30 minutes and he could not stay past 15-20 minutes until the dishwasher leaked. The dishwasher did not visibly leak in the floor at the bottom of the right side of the dishwasher door during the 7 minutes it was running when Marco was here. We did not document nor were we asked to document before Marco got here the exact time the dishwasher leaked during the cycle. Aside from pulling out the bottom metal flashing and fiber glass insulation at the bottom Marco did nothing more except ask us to determine the problem ourselves. He asked my husband to pull out the dishwasher himself when he left, take videos of the leak, take pictures, and send them to Electric Express Applicance. He told us it could be we are using too much soap, and he filled the soap dispenser with less soap. The dishwasher still leaked and Marco was not here to see the leak. Ar Marco's request and after he left, My husband who is not a whirlpool dishwasher technician took the dishwasher out, took out a flashlight and determined where the leak was. This was determined before the dishwasher started leaking on the floor. We sent a video and 5 photos to Electric Express Appliance, plus a lengthy email that documents the 5 month timeline from purchase to repair. My husband is not a dishwasher technician and Marco could have done the exact same diagnosis Instead of waiting for the water to visibly leak on to the floor. The video determined that it was not the dishwasher door or the gasket, but an internal dishwasher leak. The water leak is significant and is leaving a puddle under the dishwasher and leaking out the side bottom of the dishwasher. -------- Our Whirlpool dishwasher is from Bestbuy In May 2023. It began to leak 8/15/23 and I called Bestbuy to have it repaired, at which time I was routed to Masterpro. They came out again and said it was not the installation, the dishwasher was a factory issue. When I called BestBuy again to have it repaired, I was routed after talking to 4 people in customer support and then to the Whirlpool customer support in Tennessee, who routed me to Electric Express appliance. My husband and I both work full time, and this has taken hours to remedy. It's still not fixed or replaced. I'm not convinced this is the brand experience @Bestbuy or @Whirlpool expects, but it's the worst customer support we've ever experienced. We just want the dishwasher fixed or replaced. read more

An utterly horrendous and dishonest company! Negative stars! Avoid!!! I had Electric Express come out on a Whirlpool warrantee repair. They strung me out for 7 months over three separate site visits, - and parts ordered but not installed - until they knew my warrantee was running out. Then, even though they had the correct notes on their end about the issue (i.e. NOT user error), they reported that it was user error to the manufacturer. When I called them out on it they refused to put the correct information in the manufacturer service request ticket. Awful! Fortunately the manufacturer agreed to a 6 month extension but now I begin the process all over again to get the problem fixed. read more

Same as others. 5 minute technician visit to say needs new control panel with display. I knew that before calling them. I had the exact model number available to them, but they had to have a $175 technician come out to do diagnostics, which were in total "unplug and plug back in" to see if dim display got fixed. Oh well, being scammed is just a business now. Never again Whirlpool, never again. And Electric Express Appliance customer service - don't leave a message telling me how sorry you are. It just makes you look worse. Own your scam. read more

I called them about a broken refrigerator. I paid them $185 up front (they won't come otherwise). The temperature in the fridge was ranging from 40 to 60 degrees. It was at 40 when the tech arrived, and he acted as if I was lying that it hadn't been working. He cleared a handful of dust off the coils and gave me a patronizing lecture about keeping the door closed and not filling up the top shelf. He was there for maybe 15 minutes and didn't move the fridge, check the fan or the compressor, or really do much of anything. The next day the temperature was up to 50 degrees, leaving me with a broken fridge and $185 poorer. I will never call these people again. read more
