I happen to be in the California area for a girls trip and was in need of some laser hair removal. I am a hairy girl and so I definitely need to get my face smooth and hair free. Once my appointment was set, I went through all the on boarding paperwork on site. This place does not mess around and they really do wanna know your medical history, because this is truly medical treatment. After getting my on boarding paperwork completed, I participate it in before photos. After completing my Photo Booth session, I went into my treatment room. In my treatment room was a nice television that had access to Netflix. I enjoy a cup of coffee and waited for my service provider. I enjoyed that the nurse practitioner/owner took the time to really explain the process of laser hair removal with me and then also discuss some of the ongoing issues that could occur because of hormonal issues. I really appreciate it that Lee took the time to discuss other treatments. They had available at the facility as I would love to do a VI peel here to take care of my hyper pigmentation. My laser hair removal went off without a hitch, and I didn't even need any numbing. After my procedure I took my after photos so that that's a part of my medical file. All in all, I was very impressed with this rejuvenation center and would thoroughly recommend that you check them out. I eventually found Avesta Aesthetics and im so happy I decided to go with this course. Jill and Beeta are there to train and teach you everything they possibly know and they're incredible. They train you at a real med spa and show you how they treat their actual patients. It's also a very small group so you get more focused practice and attention which is what I liked. I was able to inject about 5-7 people a day depending on the schedule and they'll never force you to be hands on unless you feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend this place for treatments and training. I'm so sad I'm done with my training but I will definitely be back when I'm ready to learn more advanced treatments!

I would disagree, I think the pain level is about the same as waxing. If anything, waxing does a better job of removing hair than sugaring and is faster. The only difference is that waxing is really hot right when it touches the skin but that quickly goes away. I walked away with some random spots of hair on my arms that were missed and I don't know if that was due to the sugaring process or just lack of attention to detail. I noticed it too late so it wasn't worth coming back. Also, I normally get some red bumps after waxing and I got those again today (they go away after a couple of hours) so I don't think sugaring is any better than waxing. As for the facial, it was good but I haven't ever gotten one before so I can't really compare. I did leave with my skin feeling really soft and slightly red, but I think thats normal with a facial. The treatment itself was completely luxurious and left my face newly re-hydrated. I wasn't sure what to expect as to results, but this AM my face didn't dry up like the Mojave the second I exited the shower so I guess it's still hydrated, which is good right? Also - I LOVED the bonus neck/shoulder/arm/hand massage that's included with the facial. Just a word on the facility itself: This place is literally one room. There's no need to show up early for your appointment because you'll find yourself waiting in the parking lot staring at a door tastefully marked as "occupied" with a nice ribbon, much like your college roommate would do when she was shacking up with someone in your shared space. Once inside however, it's the perfect intimate space for a spa treatment. The fact that there is no foot traffic outside your door, or voices coming from up and down the halls, amplifies the intimacy and luxury of the treatment you receive. I enjoyed this treatment so much that I fully plan on returning to pay the full price ($95 + tip) for this treatment on a semi-regular basis.

I was a bit nervous but I was greeted by Grace with the warmest smile (maybe it was fate because we have the same name) but it definitely put me at ease. She asked me what I was looking for and when I didn't really know, she was so kind and patient enough to ask questions regarding anything I may have wanted to fix and answered any questions I had. I ended up getting my first Botox experience for my gummy smile (which I didn't know you could fix with Botox) but Grace helped me feel at home and relaxed the whole time. Did I mention she made it painless? I was scared for no reason haha One week in and I can definitely see the changes to my gummy smile.
