This is a classic newsagent in some ways, but it has several add-ons.
There's the old fashioned penny sweets section for the children, its a lot of fun to see them ogling their sweeties while they're gazing at them with their little trays in hand.
There's quite a big section of postage material, labels, envelopes, boxes and the like, and a really good variety of cards, magazines too.
There's a kind of household section, more than you might think, cleaning materials, candles, the odd fusewire, that sort of thing - the sort of thing that if you've run out, you really need it.
There's also a table in the middle filled with gift books and children's books, which could probably do very well for a late present you've forgotten to get.
The post office is to one side of the shop, and keeps normal post office hours, more or less. For me, it doesn't have the atmosphere it once did, but I can tell from those around that actually other people still like it just fine. read more
