When we went to pay for the three of us (myself, wife, and 2yr old daughter) it was $90 to get into the pits. We've been to plenty of tracks before we had a little one and are totally used to how much it is to get into the pits- but didn't expect them to charge full adult price for a toddler who was going to be carried the whole time. Especially when general admission is free for kids under 14. When we asked why it was full price for her- and not maybe half price ($15) we were met with a rude attitude from the woman in the booth. We ended up paying to stay since we drove all that way but we won't be back and we will be sure to forward the info on to all our racer friends and fans.

The racing is action packed with Modifieds and stock cars weekly along with a lot of special classes. Concessions are very good and fairly priced. The track has a lot of history and has been there since the early 1900's; however, the facilities are very modern and recently remodeled. Racing at the Montpelier track is a great experience for any family.

One of the most underrated parts of the park? The food!!! The grill has everything you need for a day at the track - drinks, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, candy, shaved ice, pasta salad, chips, fresh fruit, etc!! They also have an extensive breakfast menu, and sell bags of ice. They also sell merch like t-shirts and hoodies. There are bleachers to watch the races from outside, and lots of indoor seating with outlets if you need to charge your phone. Family owned and operated. Staff is always super friendly. The racing scene here is unmatched. It's a great place for both kid karting and adult kart racing, and you can rent out parking spots to park your trailer as well as garage spots at the track. There are also rental karts. But you'll have to talk to the driver in the family to know more about that!!! Wonderful way to spend a weekend. They have an onsite parts department plus offer delivery from Comet Kart Sales to the track on items they don't have at the track. They have rental karts so everyone can join in the fun. They have camper spots, bathrooms with full showers, a restaurant and full bar. I cant say enough good about this place. There isn't a bad seat in the house however I suggest bringing bleacher seats for the wooden bleachers. Hold off on eating dinner before you come as well. Their nachos are delicious and their tenderloins look pretty good. I LOVE the margaritas that they sell and the sugar rim tops it off perfectly. For the kids or kids at heart, they have snow cones, cotton candy, and dippin dots! The biggest complaint I have for this place is that many fans smoke in the stands and it's hard to get away from the smell. I wish they would ban smoking. Also be prepared to hear some foul language as the fans are really invested into the races. If you can handle those few bad things, come on out for family fun at the Indianapolis Speedrome

The seats would be my only complaint, but if we had been here before we would have known to bring a cushion or something because these wooden bleachers are killing my ass. The food and drinks, pizza, burgers, hotdogs, pretzels, nachos, snow cones, and of course lots of alcohol. Their are people smoking in the stands, cigarettes and other things, couple of times the smoke was a little overwhelming, maybe would've had to change seat if we had brought the kids. The parking is free, and not too long of a walk to the entrance, and I was parked all the way at the rear of the lot. Definitely would recommend.

The restrooms had mirrors, which differed from the Indy Speedrome. They were decorated pretty nicely too. They had a concession stand with food, and many stands and a few food trucks. There was a cotton candy stand, ice cream, and beer stand. The prices were pricey but not too terrible. It was $12 for adults and less for children. They take credit cards at the ticket booth, but the food stands you need cash. Unfortunately there weren't a ton of racers. It was still exciting, like I said, I love the Speedrome. But the main event, the figure 8, there were only 7 cars. The track is so big the cars barely made contact. There were 4 races and then the figure 8 to end the night. They have different types of cars in each race. One of the races they had minis, which were so cute! Hopefully they can get more racers involved. I'd hate to see the place not make it. It's a lot of fun and really exciting to watch!
