Ihired Ron over the phone told him my situation with probate on a trailer said we didn't know what our standing was he said he would check into it before I hired him the next week I called him he said he could help. So we signed to agreement with him for $2,500 and then months went by nothing was going on so finally we fired them in August and then they said they would look into getting our money back and then nothing. I've been fighting with them and now they just said tough luck sucks to be you.They should have looked right away and saw the other person's name on the deed for this trailer and it would have been over right away.The paralegal at our probate lawyers office up here in Spokane heard about this and she looked it up in 5 minutes and found out what was going on with that deed.I am taking this to the bar in San Bernardino County. I recommend everybody else who's been scammed by this law firm do the same and I also recommend you tell everyone you know they are scam artists! read more

Awful experience. I was offered analysis of my probate case for $2500 by attorney Ron Ask. When I called to agree he added $1000 more. I paid $3500 for the case review. He told me his partner, who is his daughter Renee Fohrendholz, will be continuing my case. Nobody contacted me for five weeks. When I called after five weeks no attorneys were available to talk to, only their assistant. Assistant emailed me analysis of my case two weeks later, which wasn't making sense at all and signed by assistant. Besides of that I received bill for $575 week later. By the way, on the Avvo.com website there is profile of this attorney with word "Attention", because his license was suspended 4 times. read more

We paid $3500 for a service we never received one iota of work from him. He literally just waited for him to die. Attorney Ron Ask is a great guy. His paralegal Renee, however, is very unprofessional and condescending. Whenever I call and ask to speak to Ron, she never allows me to talk to him. Then she starts on a rant to belittle and demean me, not allowing me to get a word in edgewise, and then hangs up! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I call back and am hung up on again. When i tell her about her tone and ask her to speak to me as an adult, she starts yelling and screaming. I am a very calm person, but she made me get out of character and reciprocate her tone. I owe his office money and have been calling and trying to work things out. Times are very hard, and they are aware of my situation. In the beginning, I was told that they would be patient on what is owed to them until another related case of mine settles, from which I will be able to pay them. They have since changed their minds and threatened to sue me for the money. Being an attorney's office, they should know that court cases don't get settled overnight. And why agree to something only to turn around and retract? I call regularly to give them updates about the status of my case, but I'm never allowed to speak to Ron directly or even his voicemail anymore. The few times I have been able to leave him a message, he never returns my calls. If I was avoiding my debt to them, I would not call and give them status updates. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This attorney has single handled ruined my family's life. Did a non revocable trust that changed the title status of a house which changed all of the taxes. Now the house that has been owned for 40 years will have to be sold. Not only that the attorney refuses to take responsibility and make things right. So much for trusting an attorney. Alright, let's see how long this review stays up. I hired Mr. Ask in 2004 to do a will for my mother-in-law who died shortly after the will was drafted by Mr. Ask and filed with the Court by my wife. Almost immediately we began to have problems with relatives who refused to move out of the family home. We needed further legal advice and guidance on how to handle the situation. We wanted to sell the home but we wanted to proceed in full compliance with the law. I found it very difficult to get help from Renee, Mr. Ask's assistant, she would not put me through to Mr. Ask and he did not return my phone calls. Further, the office's automated billing system billed me for things not done and for a number of other errors which I could not even get them to discuss with me. Finally, I filed a complaint with the State Bar Association and they got the money back for me. The amount of money involved was small but the aggravation I got from the Elder Law Center was pretty big. When I was in the process of preparing the complaint, I discovered the California State Bar website which allows you to look up attorneys by name and to see certain information about them. I encourage everyone to look up an attorney they intend to hire on this website, before hiring the attorney. It may save you a lot of heartache. read more

I was so disappointed with this law firm. I went there for help and i ended up feeliing like I needed help from them . Be aware of dealing with this office, not so much the attorney Mr Ask he is a sweet Man, but it's unfortunate the office person that handles the office Renee is not a trust worthy person. She plays the role like she likes you and wants to help but deep down she doesn't do nothing but hound you for money and harass you for more money and more money . BE VERY AWARE Of exactly how much you have in your trust account because once you get your bill you will never see what your balance is and God forbid you ask Renee how much you have she will play the part and say I have to check I'm not sure . But how funny she knows to ask for more money every chance she gets . To each their own but I personally will never recommend this office to anybody that I care about . Attorney Ask completed a "special needs trust" for our family. Mr. Ask took the time to sit with us and answer all of our questions without feeling rushed. The office staff and in particular Mr. Ask was very courteous to my family and my disabled brother. I was able to reach the attorney when I called and if he wasn't available I would usually receive a call back within a day. The attorney was also able to assist my father in obtaining VA benefits that he didn't even know he qualified for. read more
