Our first meal in Granada! We were looking for a local favorite and found it at "Las Tinajas"…read more
When we arrived, it was just past 1:30pm - the kind of official start time of lunch. The restaurant didn't look busy so we walked in thinking we might get lucky without a reservation. The hostess was very kind and asked us to wait a little so she was able to seat us in the limited outdoor space.
The menu offered both seafood and meat dishes. We sampled quite a few of them. For starters, we had the clams, red shrimp, and fried little white fish. We liked the red shrimps and fried white fish but not as much the clams. They were bigger, meatier but somehow not as good as the one smaller ones we had in Seville.
For main courses, we had the braised ox tail, baby lamb chops, tenderloin, and cod fish. They were all very good. The braised ox tail was most memorable.
Highly recommend this local establishment of 50 years.
