They penalize stray shots that are not that far off target. Elevation changes make for a few nice panoramas and some blind shots. The remodel of the SW corner to avoid most of the flooding they experience was quite well done. The sad part is the number of trees that have been lost over the last 2 decades. Those trees used to absolutely wall off any hopes of a recovery shot when you hit that screaming hook or out of control fade (read slice). They have done a lot of replanting but it just takes time for the new trees to mature. If you are looking for a gorilla course of 7500 from the tips and you have to blast away every shot, this isn't the place. If you are looking for a tighter, shorter course that provides a pleasant day of relaxing golf, this is the course for you.

Tried to play this course twice. Wednesday is Ladies league day & Thursday is Mens league. I went…read morein person on Thursday after I was told on the phone on Wednesday I could not get on because of Ladies league. When I arrived Thursday there was a total of 9 cars in the parking lots. I was told there was no tee times because of Men's league. As I looked for other local courses I witnessed 2 groups of threes Tee off with a 17 min gap between. So out of curiosity I waited and the next threesome teed off 22 min later. I would think if this course is so busy they would have less gap in tee times. Or they would fill in with a single like myself go the added revenue. Road in and parking lots are gravel. So dust blows across 2-3 tee boxes, greens & fairways if a vehicle drives up. Handicap parking is almost 200feet from the clubhouse. No handicap parking at driving range. Driving range parking lot is gravel & unkempt. I've heard the course is nice, unfortunately I was not able to see it firsthand.

The food was simple, three sandwiches for us, but due to one kitchen employee we were told it will be slower than usual, not a problem really for us as we were catching up. The delay was about 35 or so minutes for three burgers. When they arrived, they were presented nicely. However, that's where the good stuff ended. Fries, cold; burgers, overcooked and the cheese had melted and congealed and was barely warm. The buns, fine and likely out of a bag. We also noticed a table near us waited a long long time for their order. When food finally did arrive, only 1/2 of it did with an appetizer order never appearing. Needless to say, they weren't thrilled. As I said, I want this place to be successful, but there's a lot of work to be done to ensure success.

The only thing I would change is the bridal suite since there was 8 of us in there it was very tight.
