My family dined here for lunch and since they're locals they didn't want to hit up the merc because it's always busy and we want to support other local businesses. Their lunch menu was great so many options for so cheap! The lunch fajitas were 7.99 i think how can you beat that and it came with sides! Everyone gets free chips and salsa also which is a plus. My lunch fajitas came out and i understood that they were a smaller portion but my one year old could've ate more than that. The chicken was so small and it was mainly just grilled onion and bell pepper. Was super disappointed. My aunt got the quesadillas those were normal size and she even had leftovers. My mom ordered ala carte tacos and they were great. We all ordered a margarita and they were probably the strongest margarita I've ever had i walked out tipsy from just one! Which, no complaints there just don't think they measured the tequila on them. Friendly customer service a tad slow but still kind. read more

This place has vegetarian options! I stopped here to get dinner after visiting the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve. We had called and ordered a to-go food close to their closing time. They accepted the order and we arrived 5 mins after their closing time to pick up the food. They had our food ready to-go. Was super impressed by their customer service. The place has a lot of parking in the front. The food also tasted good - typical of what you'd expect of sports bar. Had ordered spinach enchiladas and super nachos. Don't. Turn around. Go across the street to McDonalds. Trust me. The meal was cold, flour tortilla store bought and not even warmed up, red sauce tasted too much like tomato sauce--it just isn't worth it. read more

We ordered the medium size margarita and they brought us a fishbowl! Also my fiancé and I split an order of the grilled chicken nachos and we left feeling pretty satisfied. If I didn't live five hours away I would definitely go back. Our waitress was really sweet. read more

This place was HORRIBLE!!! They were very dirty! The tables were not bussed and it smelt gross. They sat us and it looked my napkin that had my silverware in it was used. We got up and walked out. Will never eat there and suggest to just go to McDonald's. read more

The waitress showed us to the table, put the menus down and walked off. Food was terrible, had the tamale platter, it tasted like canned tamales and its was canned chili. My wife's order came out wrong, when they brought it back corrected the taco shells were stale and the food was cold. We should have just went to Casey's across the street and had lunch there. This little restaurant had fast service and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious, as well. I had the cheese enchiladas which were delicious. I would order them again. I would recommend this restaurant to any family. read more

This place is terrible! The service is some of the worse I've ever had. You wait forever to be seated (even if the place is less than half full), then you wait forever to be waited on. We went in and waited nearly 20 minutes AFTER the long wait to be seated to even have someone acknowledge us and get our drink order! At that point there were about 4 or 5 other tables with someone sitting at them. The rest of the restaurant was empty. We finally got waited on because someone at another table KNEW the manager and heard us complaining and told him we were ready to leave because we hadn't been waited on. Our food was WRONG (after taking forever to get it). Then they acted like it was OUR fault! The food was NOT good. They seem to think that since it's called "Mexican" food, it should be LOADED with Chili Powder. Everything we ate had tons of it, from the salsa to everything think on the plate! That's practically aLL you could taste. I lived in the "Mexican Culture" for nearly 20 years and NONE of their food is loaded with Chili Powder. It's one of the seasonings they use the least! I sat for quite a while with an empty glass sitting on the edge of the table and finally the bus boy came by and asked if I would like more to drink and got it for me. Then it came time to pay.One of us is "Tax exempt" and the waitress basically threw a fit and said "Well! How was I suppose to know that?!!!".. She stormed off into the back and we waited another 5 or 6 minutes for her to bring back a corrected ticket. I absolutely REFUSE to go back. read more

I eat there most Sundays after church. I enjoy looking at the plated food on the bright white rectangular plate as it is served. As I was leaving last Sunday, I stopped to visit with a friend. His table's food was served while I was there. He ordered the "special"; the tamale plate. It included 3 chili topped tamales, rice, beans, and a salad. Went there for a late lunch a few weeks ago. Restaurant had that large Grand feeling with the huge porches around the building. Kind of felt like I was going into a real Mexican Restaurant. Service was quick waiter was extremely responsive. Plating was a real surprise to me as the meal was plated very well. I liked the rectangle plates. Price was extremely affordable, loved the dip and all you can eat chips. I would give this one a 5 stars. Quality, service, atmosphere and taste. read more

We, my sister and I, ate lunch here after driving down from KCMO. It was about 1:45 pm and we were starving and craving something spicy. Being late lunch time they were not busy at all, only 2 other tables were being used. The hostess did not acknowledge us when we walked in. I asked if we were supposed to seat ourselves, she didn't even turn around and look at us just responded " no". She finished the task at hand which was counting cash right at the front desk, then seated us. The waiter was quick to come to our table and see what we wanted to drink. Quickly came back with our drinks and took our order. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, but was absolutely tasteless. I salted and peppered the heck out of everything on my plate. We both ordered street tacos, mine were pork my sister ordered chicken. No seasoning in the meat at all. Thank God for the onion and cilantro that was on them. That was the only flavor they had. The beans were bland and the rice was very bland. I tried putting salsa on everything but it didn't have much flavor either. We also ordered guacamole and white queso cheese dip. Once again the guacamole was flavorless - just avocados smashed up in a bowl, and the cheese dip was like something they probably poured out of a can. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody ... ever, and if we're ever in Pawhuska again we won't eat here. They definitely need to step up their flavor game. read more
