The stars disappeared though for me, when our waitress continually hacked her way across the restaurant. As in coughing long, smoker's-cough hacking. It really grossed me out to say the least. She really didn't do much to hide it, coughing into her hand (gee, thanks, now that you've grabbed my food and forks/knives with the same hand and delivered the food to our table). On top of it, no one else seemed to mind. I know I'm sounding like a total germaphobe American here - and I'm usually the last one to pull the "In America, this or that would never happen". But when it comes down to someone literally coughing left and right all over everyone's food, it's not ok.
