I enjoyed the atmosphere and the bartender was friendly. I decided to order a beef burrito based on "burrito" being in the title of this place; although, people sitting next to me ordered quesadillas which looked great, and there are also enchiladas. There are very above average vegetarian options, including spinach, mushrooms, nopal, tofu, and seitan for burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. The burrito wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great. I liked the texture of the tortilla (pressed on the grill), but the fillings weren't particularly good tasting. I also thought the burrito was lacking flavor and could have used more ingredients (some salsa, sour cream, and guacamole like the quesadillas included certainly would've been nice). The steak, rice, and beans weren't bad but didn't taste particularly good. There were also diced tomatoes and onions that were fine. Overall, I would go here if you're in the mood for Mexican food and in the area because it's not bad, but I can't recommend this place for having a particularly good burrito.

I was looking for taste and chilli zing and I got everything I was looking for. Would have liked to have seen some authentic sauces to add to the heat, but they use that Chinese Sriracha stuff, you know with the yellow stopper. No matter, it did the job well. Later discovered some Lol Tun Habanero sauce which I applied liberally. Thrash Metal on the stereo which didn't make for a restful experience, but hey, the Schanze is not made for rest even at 1pm! But the other mainly younger crowd seemed to be grooving to it! The guys who run this place are obviously big metal fans, one wall is covered with pics of men in gimp masks. Either that, or along with the hard seating, it's an effective device to keep the customers moving and discourage lingerers. If I was to be critical, I would highlight their steak cooking process, which seemed not be via a grill, more like steamed steak! Were I to return, I'd choose another filling and perhaps take some earplugs along. Sorry but it has to be three stars.

From 5pm to 7pm they offer Happy Hour and you can buy a cocktail for less. I had a Jumbo and it tastes really good. Later we ordered food as well. Each dish looks delicious, but I can just speak about my wraps with chicken. Really, really good!! When the weather is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the sun. Your are in the middle of everything. The bathroom was also clean. All in all I had a great evening @ Bolero. I recommend this restaurant / bar. PS: We had a reservation but it was not necessary. We went there from 5pm to 7:30pm. The seats outside the restaurant were all taken, but inside there were a lot of free seats.

The frequent path traveled on this sidewalk takes you normally to Vapiano's, but when people are in the mood for a less social drink and seeking flavors other than pizza, salad and pasta, this is the spot to stop if you are hungry and in the area. Beware if you arrive in the late evening because it can get packed inside and out with not even standing room near the bar. The music is played a bit loud, so despite the cosy, dimly lit romantic like atmosphere, it is not the place to sit if you want a quality chat or sweet nothings whispered into your date's ear. It IS the place to go if you want to get your date tipsy, dance to popular dance tracks in your seat and share plates of super delish finger foods. The nachos are particularly tasty, and quesadilla is another classic, which is hard to mess up melted cheese between two tortillas, dipped in creamy sour cream and salsa. I have only come here a few times, and that was to mainly have drinks and finger food, I have never actually sat down for a full meal any time of the day. Also, I feel this restaurant is more a night time go to.
