When we were tourists, they charged us more than the prices listed on the menu while occupying a table.

The ham was a…read morebit fatty, and they cut them up into these thin slices, but each bit even with the thin pieces of ham, was really rich because of the combination of the fattiness and strong flavor of the ham. This was one of those cases where a little bit really did go a long way. Overall a surprising find and if I lived in Toledo, I wouldn't mind dropping by here in the morning to get a sandwich and go.

It has a huuuuge selection of jamon (vacuum packed, freshly sliced, if you're up for an entire leg you can do that too) and you can also buy sandwiches here. My sister and I dropped into this shop in the afternoon to pick up some jamon iberico de bellota (acorn) after hearing so many good things about it. There was definitely a language barrier between us and the shop keeper but they were able to help us find what we wanted. We originally just wanted to get a few hand cut slices on the spot but we wound up getting the vacuum sealed kind to take back to our hotel to eat. Let me tell ya something- jamon iberico de bellota is the absolute bee's knees. Even my sister who isn't usually into cured meats was super into it. There's something about the flavor and the depth that is amazing. I highly recommend getting a pack to try out! Overall, I highly recommend coming by this store to check it out! It was a tad warm in there when we went inside so it smelled kind of odd but just look/buy from the refrigerated sections lol

This is not worth the wait or calories that will be consumed. One worded descriptions: The food- DISGUSTING Their favorite color of every dish- BROWN Service- RUDE More in-depth description: I hate wasting food but I couldn't finish even half of every plate I got. They start you off with bread on the table that looks fake. It's as hard as a brick and the inside of it was dense. The "paella" looked like leftovers, filled with chicken bones, seafood shells and rice. I wouldn't even call it paella but instead "flavored rice" I got the "pollo asada" but it was obviously not grilled. Thy tried covering it with some brown sauce. It was dry and tasteless. It came with potato wedges/French fries that were burnt to hell and tasted terrible (I love potatoes and fries but I couldn't do it) For dessert I got Flan... it wasn't smooth. It might as well have been a wet cake that tasted like there was something burning in the oven. Best part of the meal: Coca Cola and the whipped cream from the dessert (aka nothing made in the restaurant) This restaurant goes for quantity over quality. They try to serve many people but give crappy food. Their main revenue is from the tourist packages people buy.

It's a low temperature, slow-cooked rib roast that comes with with potatoes and orange sauce. It was very delicious. I had the "Albóndigas de pollo de corral." This dish is free-range chicken meatballs that's stewed in pepitoria and served with potatoes. It was fantastic. We both were pleased with this eatery. Bottom line: I recommend dinning at this restaurant. It's clean with a nice ambiance. Restrooms are available for guests and the prices area pretty good too.

My favorite sandwich was the Chapata de filete de ciervo, a sándwich built on a crusty oblong baguette roll with slices of roasted venison loin along with melty cheddar cheese and spicy jalapeños! I also loved the toast topped with sprouts, smoked salmon, and a huge round slice of goat cheese topped with crunchy caramelized sugar. The sweetness of the brûlée paired nicely with the acidic tang of the goat cheese, the savory smokiness of the salmon, and the earthiness of the brown bread! Finally, we had the Chapata de lomo al limon, a sandwich built on a round ciabatta roll with slices of lemon-marinated pork loin, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and lamb's lettuce. All of the items we had here were delicious, beautifully presented, and quite the steal!
