Located right inside the entrance on the Ground Floor of the Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) was C. Coffee Lovers. While my friend and I had a long wait for our flight, I decided to roam the airport out of boredom and curiosity and came across this inviting business. To kill some time, I wandered in, cased the joint, and found something that intrigued me. Would I seek this business again if I were to travel through this airport again!?: PURCHASE Abbondio Bruna Chinotto (3.20 Euros): The true marketer in me gravitated to the packaging of this apparent soda drink which I immediately thought would be for a type of flavored beer. Actually, "chinotto" was a type of orange found in the Mediterranean. Unable to read Italian, I went strictly on the label. My tastebuds initially tasted anise, then sarsaparilla, and finally a root beer cream soda. Although I loved root beer, I couldn't say for sure if I'd drink this again...but at least I had a story https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2U_G8TgD36LPDZgo3iR6aw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE Generally-speaking, this was a grab-and-go kind of place where you paid at the register unless you wanted a coffee, pastry, or sandwich which then required more interaction with the staff. Personally, I was in and out in a flash, so all was good with me. PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance) We were dropped off, so a non-issue since this was inside the airport lobby before the check-in counters and security area. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A brightly-opened shiny storefront https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=L6vRCXm2odk1KOurjHF7lw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw with a display counter of delicious-looking pastries and sandwiches as its centerpiece while coffees and teas were directly behind. A nice refrigerated section on your left housed a bevy of beverages https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BVEX-reaDT2LHD34xmblyQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw along with other tasty treats. To the right was a proper dining area with tables and chairs although there were some counter seats, too. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the glass ceiling of the airport itself in addition to the surrounding electric lighting and business' own electric track lighting filled in the rest. There were no TVs but music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL C. Coffee Lovers at the Venice Marco Polo airport at the very entrance was a charming find and offered alittle bit of everything one would need to snack on at relatively inexpensive prices. Although I couldn't quote other prices, everything seemed reasonable to me and would definitely check them out again for other items to try. I was amazed that more people weren't in here. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around 3.00 Euros BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, although I paid in cash, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

An Italian pal of ours, Max, is a professional musician who rejoices under the name of 'Bitols'. He was performing at a birthday party coincidentally being held at Kiribiri's, and insisted that we turned up as it was a very friendly affair. Friendly it was. Welcomed by the birthday girl as if royalty, kissed on both cheeks, and given a bottle of prosecco to kick off, I thought I'd gone to heaven. Max and a couple of guests entertained the crowd all night, and the party overflowed into the street. What was noticeable was the good-natured behaviour of all concerned; little children were present and given toy instruments to play on; and everybody made friends with everybody else. How Italian! And how not British, dare I say? I simply cannot imagine a street party, held on a Friday night in the centre of a major UK town, that would not attract the wrong sort of interloper. The cafe was run by three of the most delightful ladies one could wish to meet: Elisa, Alessandra and Antonella. Worth the trip alone to meet them!
