Dr. J. Miller is a good doctor who has the problems you find in most doctors offices like, at least…read morea two hour wait. But he refuses to call patients for some reason, someone in his office will call if you ask. Thought this odd, but after ten years I hadn't needed to speak to him on the phone. He used to have a great office manager named Esther. Don't know what happened to her. The age old problem of the wife managing the office is what made service go down. My pharmacy ceased getting responses from the office. Saw him two weeks ago and asked if he could sign a letter for my college in order to confirm special med conditions. I left him a hard copy and asked if it would make it easier for his staff if I emailed him the file. He gave me an email address but seemed unsure if it was correct. He told me I could pick it up the next day, I told him I would call the next day. I asked Laura who was at the check out if I needed to make special arrangements for the letter, she told me it would be ready the next day. Called her when I got home, the email address I sent it to was returned. She told me to send it to a luisa email, which I did. Called the next day, was told it was not ready. Called 7 times over two weeks and kept being told mgr would call me back that day. Never received a call. After two weeks I asked Laura what time Luisa would be at the office. She told me that she would be there at four and would surely call me. At 4:15 I called and asked for Luisa and the woman that answered had a strong latin accent and told me she was the mgr. I told her about the letter, she was very defensive and angry stating "You are not welcomed to e-mail me!". I told her she might want to share that tidbit with her staff who asked me to do so. She told me she reprimanded them. I told her it was unprofessional to tell clients you would call them and then not do so. She told me she did not like my tone (I was NOT yelling) and before hanging up on me she told me I could talk to the doctor in that tone since it was his fault. I knew this HAD to be his wife. Who else would act so entitled? I called back and asked a young man if I could leave a message for the doctor and was told that they could NOT assure that the doctor would call a patient. I then asked if I could make another appointment, silly since I just paid for one two weeks before, but wanted to let him know about this behavior, since I had no intention of staying in an abusive office. Was told it would be a month before he could see me. I made the appt, asked if they could fax me the letter since I was told it was ready and Laura took my fax number. I did not receive it so I called later only to be told that she could not fax the letter because I had to go in and pay $10 cash for the letter. I asked her why this was the first time that they told me of this after I had asked the first day what arrangements I needed to make. No excuse. Each time I called I was put on a lengthy hold that day. Laura also said my one month appt would now be two months! I was told that the doctor was not seeing patients on the day I was scheduled for just minutes earlier. I went the next day to get the letter and the woman that opened the frosted glass window had the exact voice as Luisa so I introduced myself. I asked her what her name was since she did not introduce herself, and she said "Aracelli". I explained I was there to pick up the letter and she told me to wait in the waiting room. While I sat there I spoke to a friend of mine who was waiting (BTW, I have sent him 8 referral over the years) we were talking about how bad things had gotten since Esther left. They called him in VERY quickly after that, which I thought was odd since you usually wait for at least an hr before they call you in and he had just gotten there. One of the ladies that overheard started talking to me and in NO time after that Aracelli came to the window and handed me a letter. I offered her cash but she said "No". I went back to the lady I was speaking to because she had just told me her husband passed and Aracelli opened the door after she heard me speak and said "Yes?" as though she did not approve. I told her we were just talking. She looked very angry and kept hovering by the glass to listen. This woman told me when her husband passed away she wanted to speak to the doctor about anxieties and she was told he did not call patients. She was quite unhappy with the new management. You could see the smoke coming from the glass door because Luisa aka aracelli was fuming. The letter she had given me was withdrawal from consultation so I guess the doctors wife doesn't like it when people call her out to work. She wants to charge $55 to copy my records to go elsewhere, could not tell me how many pages there were. Refused to let me see them myself which is a hipaa rule.

Accompanying my sweet mother, from the moment we walked into this office; unprofessional, no…read morecompassion much less the idea of possessing the human factor! The receptionist was rude, without a care, assuming Mother was their for a different treatment, very unpleasant encounter. 2hrs later we finally had another employee from what I can only guess she was the Office Manager asking for a list of mothers medications; not a "good afternoon", no how are you? No empathy was so ever! Another 1hr, mother was finally invited to see the Dr. as I stood up I was told with a stern voice, you cannot come in, only the patient due to the pandemic, which I am in total agreement but even the simple act of communicating to me and or placing me on the speaker phone while the Dr. spoke with mother would have been suffice, yet this gentlemen never returned to let know otherwise. At this point I received a call from mom, nearly brought to tears because no staff much less the Dr. had checked up on her in the hour she was in the cubicle to comfort her and let her know the Dr. would be in shortly. Office finally closed thus decided to go to the receptionist to inquire what and why has the Dr. not seen my mother, informing her we had been here 3 1/2 hrs and no update what so ever. As I sit here, the Office Manager came out and requested to speak with me to inform me another ultrasound is needed and to inform me of the reason why mother was over passed. I understand the dilemma our medical staff throughout the country is experiencing, but that's not an excuse to treat your patients and their family members in an unprofessional manner, communication from the OM and her staff would avoided today's overall negative visit.
