An outstanding dining experience in every respect: superbly prepared and presented cuisine, professional, passionate wait staff, and a modern, yet cozy atmosphere occupying a 12 ft wide, deep slice between two larger buildings. El Papagayo serves a multi-course feast I've enjoyed twice now on separate business trips to Córdoba, each time with a unique array small plates surrounding a generous main attraction. The combination of complementary yet slightly opposing flavors in each dish is nothing short of fine, gastronomic art. Take it in slowly and savor the world-class faire.

Loved it. We are always finding new places go eat and that doesn't stop when traveling. Food is…read moredelicious . We had empanadas as an appetizer and they are a good size (gobbled them up for got to take pic) . Ordered parrillada for two it could actually serve four. If you decide to share there is a fee of 70 pesos for silverware. Definitely coming again

Our hotel receptionist suggested Solar de Tejeda when I asked for nearby recommendations. Located…read morein the historic district near the Jesuit block and cathedral, it seems to be open all day for breakfast, lunch, merienda, and dinner. At 9:30 pm on a weeknight, we were able to walk right in and have our choice of tables. The decor is clean and simple - white walls, tile floors, and some framed photos of historic Cordoba sites. Our server was friendly and patient with our bad Spanish (the menu is partially in English, too). We ordered the parrillada mixed grill for two (AR$251), which was an amazing deal. It comes with your choice of green salad or fries. It ended up being THREE plates of sizzling-hot meat, including sausage, blood sausage, asado, pork, ribs, and more. An excellent way to try lots of things if you don't know what you like, and plenty of meat for even the biggest appetite! The atmosphere is low-key and casual, with John Meyer-type music playing in the background. It was mostly couples and singles, not so much big families or groups of young adults, so it was quiet and relaxed. A lovely place for dinner and an outstanding value for the parrillada!

We were checking out lunch options inside the Mercado Norte and saw two pizza places side by side…read more They looked very similar, but we chose Pizzeria Arroyo Hermanos because it had a larger seating area and more drink choices. I think we made the right choice! If you've never had it, Argentine pizza is quite different from American pizza. The crust is so thick, it looks like a cake, but it's very fluffy and light, sort of like focaccia. Usually there's a lot of sauce on it, although you can ask for less sauce. The basic flavor seems to be cheese with olives, though we saw someone order a pizza with jamon. At this place, you order and pay first, then wait for a table to open up, and they'll call you to sit down. Normally you would receive a numbered ticket, but the lady took pity on us foreigners and called us by name instead. An 11-inch "pizza entero" is AR$75, and sodas are about AR$22, but you can also get individual slices. We were the only extranjeros there and got several curious looks, especially my blonde boyfriend! This definitely seemed like a family business and the owner/dad stopped by to say hello. He chatted with us about where we were from and how we were liking Argentina (and our pizza). We really felt welcome here, even though I'm sure we stuck out in the crowd! If you're looking for a quick, affordable and/or vegetarian lunch in the Mercado, this pizzeria is a friendly, fast option. Recommended!
