The pierogies are good and well-filled, but could use way more cheese. The 20 minutes wait (line plus cook time) isn't great, but if you don't mind waiting, it's a good snack.

The pierogies are absolutely delicious and will melt in your mouth. The portions were huge, and you get 3 for $6 or 6 for $10! Pretty cheap deal considering how much food you are getting. All in all a simple hot dog, when the place was not even busy, took a whopping twenty two minutes to prepare. If this is the wait time on a slow weekday, I can only imagine how terrible this place is when it is busy on the weekend. Also, if you'd think that the chicken waffle cone sounds delicious, just pass. It doesn't look good at all when you finally get it.

It's totally worth the wait, though. All of the platters and sandwiches are between $4-6, which is a great amount of money for the quantity of food you receive. Cash-only, but you can customize your order if you like. The guy running the booth is friendly and gets to know his regular's orders. The lamb is definitely more tasty than the chicken (both of which are roasted in some sort of Middle Eastern spice combo). I am a particular fan of the lamb salad, which comes with onions, lettuce, and cucumbers with about three heaping scoops of lamb on top. It's also covered in plenty of tzatziki sauce and hot sauce (if you choose--I like two rows).

I rarely get takeout because of all the fees on doordash/grubhub, but this place is beyond worth it. It's on the cheaper side of takeout options too, especially for the generous portions you get. I can easily make 2+ meals out of one combination platter. I start craving the BBQ chicken combination plate if I haven't had it in a couple of weeks. It's the perfect bite with white rice, mac salad, flavorful BBQ chicken, and cabbage. I've also tried the kalua pork and found it just as delicious. If I ever move from Philly, Mahalo will be one of the last few meals I'll have here because I'll miss it.

I think the quesa birra taco would be better but somehow I ordered wrong so will update next time I try. I don't recommend the ramen because the noodle is overcooked; they do give a lot of meat tho. I also tried al pastor and campechano (steak, al pastor, and chorizo (slightly spicy)). They are both okay, but would love to have some pineapple in there. Would like the option to be able to mix birria taco with others. Watermelon agua fresca is good.
