We ordered La Gorda, which comes with a sausage, and a hamburger. The hamburger came without any toppings, but honestly, it didn't need a single thing, it was phenomenal on its own, incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rest of the Gorda was packed with kraut, mayo, and salsa, all super flavorful and well-balanced. I do wish I had added the guacamole, but even without it, the sandwich was amazing. The cooks are a group of ladies who are warm, kind, and welcoming, giving the place a genuinely old-school charm. This is an authentic spot where you can feel the pride and experience behind every dish. Best of all? The value is unbeatable. Our two orders came to just $14 including tip. Where else are you going to find that kind of quality and flavor for the price? If you're in Santiago and want a true local favorite, Fuentes Alemana is an absolute must. Come hungry and enjoy a taste of authentic Chilean sandwich craftsmanship!

It really feels like you're in the garden of someone's house as there are pretty flowers everywhere and ivy growing on the walls. It is very cosy and there are cute details everywhere such as the napkins held in little enameled teapots. I would definitely come back for lunch.
