We were fortunate enough to be in town on a weekday and were able to enjoy the lunch buffet. The lunch buffet is very robust, clean and fresh. Because there are so many selections it ensures that there's something for everybody. The food was tasty, and hot. What mortgage asked for? The weight staff was friendly. They were prompt. I am so upset because I really wanted to give this place a great review! The food was great, our server was nice but after looking at my card transactions I noticed that they modified the receipt! This was for one lunch buffet and a sweet tea! I can't remember what the actual total was but I'm thinking $15. Plus I left a cash tip on the table. We were seated immediately and politely! The place is set up with a beautiful interior, especially considering what is around it. Our drinks and queso were served quickly, but we did have to ask a passing server for chips and salsa, which was surprising. Our fajitas did not take long, but only came with four shrimp for the fajitas Jalisco. Plates to eat our fajitas off of were not served with our meal. The queso was VERY good. My husband had to grab plates off the buffet for us to eat off of. The other servers seemed very attentive. I guess ours left for a bit? Margaritas were fine and so were the fajitas. Let me give you a few reasons why you should add this place to your must visit list. Let's begin with the staff, always quick to greet you with a smile. Their service is fantastic but unlike most other similar restaurants, they are not quick to rush you out the door. The margaritas are really solid and while other restaurants continue to compete over who offers the largest margarita, El Mariachi seems to take pride in the quality of theirs. What is most pleasing to me is that everything that I have ordered has been extremely consistent. All we could say was wow! I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants but can honestly say this is the best! We were promptly greeted at the door and show to a booth, orders were taken promptly and drinks delivered quickly. Neither of us would expect any more, but then the food arrived...and wow! I found this neat little place thanks to reviews on Yelp. I noticed right off that even though it was Monday night there was a good crowd there. They started me off with a salsa that was out of this world. I really don't think I've ever had salsa any better, extremely fresh, perfectly seasoned and so tasty that I could have made a meal out of it. My waitress, Gabby, was very attentive and offered several options to include the 99 cent draft beers which were very cold and very tasty. This is the worst visit here. We eat here every couple weeks and it seems that it continuously gets worse. Only a few customers there at lunch time on Monday, the two ladies there really didn't seem to care. The food on the buffet was very low or out. I really couldn't believe that the cheese dip was out . I was scraping the pan and the server seen that, but ignored me when I tried to get her attention. The bean were like watered down soup, the rice was old and dry. Could not get a refill. Couldn't even get a guest check.
