They didn't speak English, which is fine, as it should be a fairly easy transaction with my limited Spanish. But they didn't like my credit card because the numbers were on the back and they couldn't use their ancient credit card slip system. They told me I'd need to call Ticketmaster and change credit cards, which wasn't going to happen as I don't live in Tijuana and wasn't going to negotiate that hour-long phone call. They got back on the phone with Ticketmaster after my insistence, and couldn't reach a human. They kept trying to give up and send me away, but I told them I was not leaving. Finally I told them they can use a pencil to take an imprint of the card. The second guy tried the machine and lo and behold, it took an imprint just fine. Why couldn't the girl try that 30 minutes prior rather than wasting my time? Then she wrote the details on the slip and screwed up and had to rip it up and start over. I know these guys don't actually work for Ticketmaster, but if they're going to be the agents for people who need to pick up their tickets, they need to be better trained. This was a train wreck of an experience, and after 45 minutes in the store and much frustration, I finally walked out of the store with my tickets. It could have been a 5 minute visit.

Lo que mas me gusta de aquí es que hay una buena combinación entre libros nuevos y viejos lo cual hace que este lugar tenga una colección súper ecléctica de libros. Los dueños son muy amables y relajados, cuando estuve aquí me la pase horas y horas nomás viendo y leyendo libros y el dueño no parecía ser molestado con mi presencia, el seguía leyendo su novela. Esta librería esta ubicada dentro del Pasaje Gomez, que para turistas puede que sea un poco difícil de localizar pero todos los locales lo conocemos bien. Lo que me gusta mucho de este pasaje, y de esta librería es que hay una cervecería justo alado del local... entonces literalmente puedes venir, comprar tu novela y pasarte alado a tomar una cerveza y empezar a leer mientras ves a gente pasar.

Today I had a rather complex purchase/exchange I needed done, and Angel couldn't have been more helpful. He was very professional in how he handled everything. It's the type of thing us regular customers like to see. That way to run a business is perfect. This is easily my favorite place to get used books, CDs, and DVDs.

They also have a large selection of Japanese manga too which I've not seen at other stores and was cool to see! We browsed their games and Pokemon cards as well. Their regular book selection was extensive though I didn't look too much as it wasn't why I was there and my husband and kids were wanting to go get dinner. Overall while it was a very cool place, I feel like the pricing left a lot to be desired. Most of the manga I came across that I was interested in were priced very close to or at MSRP and the figures were disappointing bc every single one that I recognized and happened to know the going price on was significantly higher than it should be -- even super used ones that had no box were priced higher than you could get them for brand new! So even though I wanted to take the time to dig through the chaos and find a gem it made me hesitant bc i figured that even if I did find something I wanted, the odds were likely that it would be marked well over its value
