Breakfast all day? Yes please! This cute breakfast place is located on Almirante Montt, where there are several dining options and shops. They serve things like scrambled eggs and brekkie sandwiches and crepe style pancakes. We decided breakfast for dinner would be perfect after a day of visiting the beach and walking around the hills. I ordered the fruit with yogurt and oatmeal and the Del Campo, which was a sandwich with scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, and roasted bell pepper on pita bread. My friend ordered the luco revuelto, which was a meat sandwich with scrambled eggs in it, plus a latte. I liked my food - the oatmeal was dry and uncooked which I'm not used to eating, but the yogurt and the fruit were delicious, especially the nectarines (there were also bananas and watermelon). My sandwich was good too. My meal was light, which is what I was looking for after eating pizza and pastel de choclo and empanadas. My friends really enjoyed his food as well. They have English menus, so ask for them - it was only when we were asking what some of the ingredients were that the server asked if we wanted English menus. I don't get the hype. The breakfast was pretty mediocre--the potatoes I had were oily and bland, the queso fundido on top added nothing. The accompanying tomatoes weren't ripe. The best part was the bread, which was fresh and warm, and the orange juice, fresh-squeezed and balanced between sweet and tart. Pleasingly fast wifi, which can be hard to find in Valpo. The ambiance was nice, and it's in my favorite part of Valpo. Nice place to stop and get tea or coffee, but I wouldn't go out of your way to get a full meal here. read more

Didn't have many options for breakfast as it was Christmas Day, but this place was really disappointing. I tried ordering the chocolate and raspberry pancakes but she said it was a cake and not actually pancakes, so I ordered the pancakes with manjar and ice cream and which turned out to be pretty disgusting. No idea why I even ordered it. It seems like the ice cream is made of condensed milk. Be careful of the breakfast sandwiches as some of them come with shredded green beans on top?? Weird and just kind of ruined the rest of the sandwich. I ended up getting a yogurt and fruit which was nice and the orange juice which was refreshing. Overall, it's not worth a visit. Hardy breakfasts that will satisfy the foreigner: eggs, ham, fresh-baked bread. Not just sweets. Most everything has a strong local identity. 'El Porteño' for example is a chicken consommé with an egg in it accompanied by a salad made with tomato and quesillo, a ricotta-like cheese, and fresh local bread. Local, substantial, and delicious. For a place that puts breakfast in its name, you would think their breakfast options would be better, but sadly they aren't much superior to what you could scramble up yourself in your kitchen in five minutes. Still, if your hotel doesn't offer breakfast, you don't have much else in the way of options as Chileans aren't too big on the meal. read more
