I had ordered custom handkerchiefs for my father, and my husband's father for our wedding online. The place online had great pricing and promised fast turn around. When their gifts never arrived the day before the rehearsal dinner I was in a panic. I called "Embroider Me" in Greenfield and they gave me a quote of almost $100 for 6 handkerchiefs. We're talking simple monograms. Half of that was a rush fee. I then called Alamo - thank god. They said they could embroider my handkerchiefs for $6 a piece, and they would have it ready the next morning, no rush charge! When we went in, the store was a little scary. It's more of a cash checking place than a cute embroidery shop. But the owner was very nice and knew we were in a rush. He took the time to let us design and proof the monograms right then, so we saw everything on screen, we even chose the thread. All in all, it took less than ten minutes.
