My husband attempted to order burrito supremes today, was told they only had enchilada supremes, he ordered beef and when he picked them up was told they only came in 4's. He brought them to my work for lunch. They were cold, undercooked, chicken instead of beef and cost 10.00. Let's talk about Taco Tuesday. 2.99 Margs and .99 tacos. You can imagine the atmosphere as they serve really good tacos and margs, weirdly good for the price. Now, what comes with that? Everyone from Pantego to Pactolus wants in between the hours of 5-7 pm. It's a nightmare. There's no good way to manage that. Now with that said, don't come on that night and show your ass because service isn't spot on, you have to wait, whatever. Controlled chaos at best. Taco Tuesday is not a normal night. The whole menu is good. Try it on a Wednesday sometime. It's pleasant. The food and service rocks, the service not so much on Tuesday. :) read more

Had a fantastic takeout dinner from this restaurant. Food was ready quickly (10 mins) and they have a very convenient drive-through for contactless pickup. We had the fajitas, carnitas, chicken quesadilla, and guacamole and everything was delicious!! The customer service was great too and the prices were very fair. This will be our new go-to for Mexican when we're in the area. read more

Oh my gosh. The BEST Mexican food since I moved from NY. The portions are huge, the guacamole is to die for. The prices are fair for what you receive. I could only eat half my fajitas and I didn't snack on chips and salsa. Their salsa is watered down with no kick for my taste. I asked for spicy salsa and lost my breath for a moment. I mixed it with the house salsa to perfection (no extra cost). They also have an extensive menu with plenty of options. We will definately be coming back read more

Disregard that 1st review. Our server Deedee was excellent and the quality of food was great, also. The fresh ingredients were prominent and flavorful. I had the Jarasco Burrito and my lady had the Chori Pollo...both excellent. The atmosphere of service was also prominent with all the staff tonight, on a busy after holiday Sunday. Awesome service, the most authentic Mexican food I've ever seen in this town and it tastes absolutely delicious. The owner has a lot of experience and is a genuine sweetheart. Tacos al pastor are my go to here. Their flan is also very good despite all the extra toppings they put on it. Margarita specials are also worth the money! read more

Just left here with my family. Absolute worst! My husband and I ordered taco salad and somehow dish detergent had gotten on the shellls of the taco salad. I NEVER send food back and I really hate complaining, however after we told the waitress she simply said "I'll tell him". They did take the two salads off the bill but not once did anyone make an apology or offer an explanation. There was no mistaking the taste and it was on both taco salads. The only reason I gave it one star is because my kids did eat their quesadilla. We will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

While visiting the area on vacation, decided to give this place a shot based on Yelp reviews. I've eaten in a LOT of Mexican restaurants in many places through the years, and El Charrito is one of the best! I had the chicken fajitas, they were deliciously hot and yummy with the seared peppers and onions. The sides of refried beans (with a little cheese drizzle) and soft rice were equally great. The portions were HUGE! Wish my husband and I had shared my entree. If you're ever in the area, you should definitely eat here. The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service can be spotty sometimes. The food is absolutely fantastic and very, very reasonable in price. I always get the chille relleno, which is a REAL chile! I would have to say this is the best chille relleno I have had anywhere in the Carolinas. Their margaritas are cheap and very good. I eat here quite foten when visiting and plan on going back again, and again. read more

First of all this restaurant is in a crime zone. My husband and I were there and somebody stole our tools from the back of our pick up truck. The food was nasty and the restaurant was all dirty! It's the worst restaurant in Washington ! read more
