HANDS DOWN A MUST DO!!!! We decided to go to El Cerro De Nandy after seeing all of the reviews and seeing it on TV. My family is originally from San Lorenzo and not allot of them have been to El Cerro. I used the link on the FB page it did get us to San Lorenzo and very close to the actual location, but not quite. I had to stop at a lil corner store and they told me exactly were to go, luckily we were only about 2 mins away on the same road. We got there and left the car parked on a lot that they have and paid 5 bucks to get dropped off and picked up. The road to get up there is very narrow and its all mud and rocks. When you finally make it up there the view is incredible, it is breath taking. It is one of those views that literally choke you up. The food is very good and there is a balcony you can sit in and eat there and let me tell you that is another view, so beautiful. The owner Nandy... after a few drinks is something else LOL... if you dont like people that talk your ear off stay away. Other then that WOW excellent! read more

If you are all about the experience, the ride, the view this is the place for you. Bring your 4x4 vehicle or ride the truck when available for just $5. Either way it will be a fun experience. Their is full bar, please be responsible or pass along your keys because you might not want to loss car/mind traction going down hill. Food is acceptable and they have a big spoon to serve. Prices are reasonable. Remember its all about the experience!! read more

OMG , so nice!!! love the Military truck to bring you up and down the huge hill. The food and the service was so good. The view was the kickers, sooooooo nice and you see the entire city of San Lorenzo. Beautiful!!!! read more

I'm not gonna lie.. getting up there is scary but it's worth it. The views are amazing and the food is good. If you can't make it up they do have a service to get you up there but my husband was stubborn and we had to pray on our way up lol read more

A must do! Three of us girls ventured out from San Juan to explore a bit of PR. We rented a car and drive to El Cerro de Nandy after visiting Siete Chorros. What a great experience! The beer was cold, the food was delicious and the view was spectacular from this mountain vista. If you don't have a 4 wheel drive, you can catch a round trip ride up the mountain for $5. Well worth the price! We had a ball talking with incredibly friendly locals and soaking in the beautiful views. Don't forget to bring cash! read more

Go with friends ! What an awesome adventure . I hate traveling in the mountains but once you get there you give them a call and they come and get you for $5 a person . I even Tip them because I would never be able to drive . Everyone there is down to earth and their arroz con Guandules reminds me of my grandmas ! Did I mention the million dollar view ? A must see ! We went up there after my wife who is from San Lorenzo told me she had been there before and that we should go, we went on a Dodge Dakota 4x4 and the whole way up was real fun, at the top the view is amazing, the food is great, and it's great for the family, if you really want to enjoy a trip to puerto rico don't forget to visit El Cerro de Nandy in San Lorenzo!!! read more

This was one of my great Puerto Rico adventures. We had a hard time finding the place, but once we did, we were super stoked! The ride up to the restaurant was a great adventure in itself. You will totally need 4WD to get up the face of this mountain. Once you do however, you will not be sorry. I ordered the fried pork, and fried rice with pork belly. It came with yucca, and a huge slice of avacado. HUGE servings, and the view on top of the mountain was spectacular. The food was as well. If I am ever in Puerto Rico again, I will 100% be visiting this place again! read more

Like everyone says, the views from the top are amazing. Getting to to the top though is something else. Wow, you go up in a HumV and it rattles and shakes you so bad as you are climbing up the mountain all the while you feel like you are going to flip over in the truck. Maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but I don't like thrill rides. It was difficult to find the pick up location also we had to use the GPS coordinates from their website. I was not that impressed with the food but the owner and his crew are great and that made up for anything bad. read more

I went to its FB page and clicked on the map, which led me to google maps on my phone (it was dead on with the directions!) In order to get up there we took a military type vehicle and paid $5 per person (roundtrip). Others can make it up there if they have a 4x4 but i wouldn't risk it. Once you get up there the view is breathtaking. Their menu includes chuletas kan-kan, rice and beans, arroz con gandules, aguacate, yuca, costillas, etc. A plate of food can cost from 5-8 but it was delicious. When friend come over from USA, i will definetly take them here for a couple of beers and good food. read more

What an awesome place. You need a 4 wheel drive to get to the bar and restaurant after a 1/2 mile steep uphill (or leave your car and take their shuttle). Good relax environment, friendly staff and the BEST view! Recommended! Fun, fun, fun! read more

Great place to eat. Excellent atmosphere and the view is simply amazing. This view combined with traditional Puerto Rican food is a perfect mix. Enjoy the trip up the mountain, drink all you want and top it off with some food. You are also going to enjoy the prices. read more

My first time in P.R. In 15 years. My cousins took us to Cerro de Nandy and it was a fun trip and a fun experience. The food is good, although by the time we got there they didn't have any bacon white rice. :(. the place is casual and inexpensive. If you are a tourist, a visit to Cerro de Nandy is a must. It's very much local as it's going to get. The view is spectacular. read more

The view is beautiful, but that's it. The food was not good. We had a few things because we were in a group of 6 and we asked for different food and the rabbit was the only thing that was good. The bathrooms didn't have paper. They come and pick you up in a military truck and charges you $5 each. I didn't like the owner at all, he doesn't have any idea how to treat visitors. I would not recommend it. There are many other places with beautiful views and great food. read more

So much fun!!! I laughed the entire rides up and down the mountain. For $5 you hitch a ride in the back of a pick up truck. Wow! What a crazy, windy, STEEP road! Not for the faint of heart. It's only a 7 minute trip but full of adventure. My adventurous, not scared of anything 9 yo was terrified. I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner. It was a slow Friday night and they only had one dish - fried pork, plantains, a type of potato and slice of avocado. The pork was amazing! Even my picky eater kids loved it. I also ordered a sangria. Delicious! The owner was very friendly, welcomed us and thanked us for coming. He asked my husband why we were there and he said it was his #1 thing to do while in PR. I vote El Cerro de Nandy a MUST DO!!! read more

Food was not that good, the service really slow and the owner was trying to overcharge 2 families that were before us. He was yelling and been disrespectful with others too. Won't recommend or go back. Avoid this place if you can. read more

We got lost on the way finding this place. My Spanish is muy malo, and I thought the gas station attendant we asked for directions said, "take a left at the Madonna". So we drove around looking for a statue of the Virgin Mary. ...then we realized she said "take a left at the MacDonalds". We finally get to the departure point at the base of the mountain. One can either catch a ride on the old-timey military transport that runs regularly, or if you have 4x4 on your car, you can go up yourself. We had a sweet Jeep rental with 4x4, so we popped it into gear and headed up this super rough jungle trail up the side of a mountain. It was like I was on the A-Team. The restaurant itself is barely a shack. Super rustic. There's a one-armed chef like out of some movie. Semi-feral cats coming out of the surrounding jungle looking for scrapes. The view is insanely breathtaking. Everyone there is jovial. Children running around laughing. The booze is super cheap and the food is great. Real authentico no-frills, no-BS, puertoricano country fare. Good stuff. It was probably my favorite thing we did the entire week we were there. read more

The only good think about this place is the ride to get there. Once I arrived it was a very dirty place with no very good food and a little bit expensive for what it was. Also the parking is very small. I had to wait for the people to come down from the place. I do not recommend this place. read more
