It is run by two sisters, one is the cook and the food is delicious - tapas inspired locally sourced ingredients, and yummy rolls and cookies. The other runs the bar, where she serves up very original drinks (I heard something about a Puerto Rican star mixologist being involved) but also a selection of local microbrews. The picadera consisted of tostones, bolitas de yuca, fried chicken, longaniza (blood sausage), and shredded pernil (pork). We also tried some pastelillos. Honestly everything was so good we left stuffed! The service was amazing even after the crowds started arriving and it got busier. Our server Gaby was great! Because it's up in the mountains, parking is limited and once it starts getting crowded it can be hard to find parking and seating in the restaurant. I recommend getting there no later than 1pm or 2pm right when they open. Trust by 3:30 it's already super packed. The mountain views and crisp air was so amazing and a refreshing change of scenery from the beaches and city life of San Juan. If you have some free time, I'd def recommend adding to your itinerary.
