We ordered the skirt steak/flank steak/pork with Chimichurri/oxtail and had to get second servings. Ochobcn is a small local neighborhood Argentinian restaurant and worth every penny. The server was truly the star of the show. He took the time to chat with us and truly looked like he loved what he was doing.

We arrived shortly after opening and there were a few non reserved tables so we promptly snagged a table in the back. The space is small but charming. I would highly recommend making reservations because you do not want to miss this experience. We ordered several dishes and as each one was brought to the table it was evident from plating and scent alone that we were going to be satisfied. Satisfied is not generally what I strive for when dining out on vacation. I want to be transported to the culture and flavor profiles through food. Dinner here was incredible from the attentive but non pretentious service to the sheer quality and preparation of the food. A great date night spot while visiting Barcelona! They prepare your steak how you ask for it and serve it by portions of 100grams. You order the weight you want. Yes, it was very nice to meat you we also ordered the stuffed potato, gnocci, fried provolone and croquette. All solid choices and would absolutely order again.

La Choza - Bad customer service and soggy greasy grilled veg!

If it had been grilled, it was days before and reheated in a microwave. The chicken was OK but as it cooled it was dry and tough to chew. I only ate part of the chicken and left the rest. I would never go back to this cafe again as when I mentioned the veg was greasy, they didn't offer an alternative .... like salad or even new veg.

We didn't want to sit outside due to the smokers who were sitting in the outdoor dining area, and there were only a few tables inside so fortunately there weren't as many people sitting inside as there were outside. After we sat down it took us awhile before we ordered since there were so many items on the menu that we wanted to try but we didn't want to over-order and waste food. We finally decided on 2 tapas and 2 main course items. The chorizo with cider was good, although how they came out did not look exactly like how they appeared on the photo in the menu. The beef kidneys were good and interesting as I have never seen that on menus back home, which was why I decided to try this tapa dish instead of the cockles and razor clams that I would prefer. After all we are in Spain so we should try something local and unique instead of something that we could get at home. The steak frites with mushroom sauce was good. The paella could have been better if the chef were gentle on that salt shaker as it was too salty for my taste. That was the only dish that came out saltier than I would like, so stay away from the paella if you don't like too much salt in your food.

great experience with friends…read more we arrived at 7pm and didn't leave until 1030p, so that should give you a little hint on whether we liked it to not. ambiance - the entrance is located down a little alleyway. once inside, you are surrounded by stone in an old, cave like building. the lighting and styling make it a cozy space to enjoy a wonderful meal. the service - our waiter (Daniele) was on point. incredibly personable, attentive, and funny! the food was timed incredibly well. they gave us plenty of time to enjoy, instead of rushing things out one after another. we had a group of 11, so we had to do the prix-fixe menu. let me tell you though, the amount of food was easily enough for 15 people. the starters - these were shared with the table, but they definitely brought more than enough. crispy bread with tomatoes and olive oil pesto infused burrata with roasted tomatoes tuna tartare with crispy plantains brioche topped with Catalan sausage, truffle cream, and crunchy mushrooms each of these was tasty. i'd say my favorites were the tuna tartare and the brioche. the mains: each person selected their main. cod cooked 2 ways with trinxat (mashed potato, winter cabbage, rendered pork fat), iberian ham, and figs argentine angus tenderloin Iberian pluma (cut from acorn fed pig), smoked sweet potato i got the last one and it. was. AMAZING. cooked to a medium and was deliciously tender. others reported the angus tenderloin was good, but needed some kind of sauce with it. desserts (pick one): variety of chocolates cannoli filled with goat cheese cheesecake and berries ice cream - passionfruit and raspberry with a white crunch for 65 euro per person for the prix-fixe, this was a great meal to share with friends! drinks - very reasonably priced bottles of wine (around 28 euro per bottle), so we kept well hydrated throughout the experience. others in the group got cocktails and said they were really good as well. i've never spent 3.5 hrs in any restaurant, anywhere, but i would go back here in a heartbeat. i fully recommend checking this place out if you're in Barcelona!

The seating is all high chair so just FYI. It was a bit awkward with a family of four facing a wall. We ordered a special they had going on, for 31€ we got about .8 KG of meat, bread and veggies. The flavor of the meat was simple but very tasteful. The meat was also tender to the bite. While there, we also tried a few different empanadas which were the spinach, chorizo and meat (all were great). I wish we were staying longer because this place would definitely get a repeat visit.

Not a particularly large dining area so reservations may be necessary. Simply decorated The serve was friendly and at least one spoke English well. We ordered meat empanadas to start and then grilled platters for the main course. Excellent empanadas, could make a whole meal of those. Everything was grilled perfectly. The sausages and chicken were the best. The cuts of meat were not particularly tender and the grilling toughened them. There is a good selection of wine available and the Malbec was a good choice.
