We found this little cafe on Yelp as we were passing through Yauco and decided to stop for breakfast. What a treat. Sweet Marta served us with the attention of a relative with made-to-order eggs and crunchy bread. Yum. The bacon was crispy perfection. Coffee was strong and piping hot. The cafe was clean and had outside tables as well. We will definitely stop there again if in the area and next time make room for the delicious looking pastries! read more

When you walk in you immediately feel welcomed. Everyone is soooo friendly. Marta the owner is either working the counter, Serving , cooking, Cleaning etc.... btw... this place is quaint and super clean. We ordered Salmon burger and sweet potato fries. It really hit the spot. When they brought out the food I asked for avocado and was immediately presented with the most creamy sweet pieces of avocado. I cut them up in pieces and placed on the burger. Marta immediately said why I didn't tell her that I wanted in the burger she would've been more than happy to prepare it for me. Now that is thoughtful service. The coffee was amazing!!!! What I really appreciated was that We weren't rushed or made to feel bad that we arrived a lil bit before closing. Service was above par. It's a place full of locals that are sooooo friendly but then again that's what this town is know for " friendly people". When we paid and proceeded to leave a tip We were told " no this is your first time here You are a guest in my house" I will totally come back and recommend to family and friends. read more

Cafe de Marta - GREAT COFFEE My husband and I were lucky to find it when we were exploring downtown Yauco searching for authentic Puerto Rican coffee and lunch. We were getting discouraged because there were only fast food chains or rundown places with really limited offerings. As soon as we spotted Marta's and her husband's, Harry, immaculately clean and modern cafe we had to go in. They were so friendly we felt immediately welcomed. The menu offered a nice selection of sandwiches, burgers, pastries. It was hard to decide what to order! We had the pernil (roast pork) and chicken breast sandwiches - tasty and not greasy!! Marta and Harry checked on us several times to make sure we liked our food and had what we needed. The best moment though was drinking the outstanding cafe con leche - the best we had in Puerto Rico. Marta selects and roasts her own coffee. Harry is clearly a master barrista. If you're in Yauco, this is the place to go. Marta speaks English well. What a neat place! we visited with the family this past summer, and were having trouble finding the place, we called and they actually waited for us. We had wonderful home cooked meals, rice and delicious beans, lasagna, which the portions were very generous and it was like eating at Grandmas. The coffee...Oh My!! soo good!!!
