I came back again a year after my first review and it was delicious as ever. The churrasco panini was tender and flavorful on the crispy but also fluffy bread. It did get a bit oily so I couldn't finish it in one sitting but the leftovers were just as yummy. The pancakes were also fluffy and weren't too sweet. The service time was comparable with other restaurants in the area but a bit slower than mainland US restaurants. The restaurant was clean and a good environment to have a conversation. read more

Las tostadas estaban perfectas mientras que el sazón del omelette estuvo bien, nada sobresaliente, mi única critica del plato es que el huevo debe ser cocinado de manera tierna permitiendo que el sabor de la yema del huevo resalte y esto fue algo que no vi en el plato, pero los pimientos y las cebollas estaban perfectamente salteadas al igual que las setas, mientras que los tomates le agregaron un sabor dulce al plato, dandole a este un toque refrescante. Alright. I liked it, well enough. I'm convinced. I liked the atmosphere, genuine coffee shop/café vibe. Prices were a little expensive. $9 for a sandwich and some fried potatoes, and still a little hungry. I got the mallorca sandwich, which was tasty, but lacked some flavor. The whole time I was thinking about how I probably could've made a better sandwich at home for a hell of a lot cheaper. Coffee/tea is expensive as well, but I think that might just be a Puerto Rico thing, everything is a little more expensive. But $2.75 for a 6 oz tea? You gotta be kidding me (even though the tea was pretty great). Overall, I probably won't be back, but it was an alright experience. read more

My nephew discovered this gem in Mayaguez, and treated us to a very delicious and memorable brunch. Their coffee selection (we had lattes and top pours) was excellent and so freakin' good -- I'll never have another Starbucks! Their breakfast offerings--we had French toasts and sandwiches-- are at a "gourmet level" I had the "Mallorca Sandwich" switched out the chorizo for bacon and it was absolutely fantastic (served with fries). If you are anywhere in this area do not miss out visiting this Island gem. You will not be disappointed. Recently I went here with a friend to try this place out. I had heard that some of the baristas working here used to make coffee in the campus coffee shop, so it got me in a good mood as that coffee shop used to be a great place to spend a free afternoon in college. I was working with a limited budget so I didn't had the chance to try everything I wanted to. However what I had was really,really good. I ordered a basic grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of coffee. The sandwich is featured in my photo. I will get y only complaint out of the way is that the sandwich was smaller than I thought. The cheeses were melted and really nicely balanced.The coffee was undoubtedly the star of the dish and the morning. And something I would blindly recommend. The most important tip J can give you is to try and avoid the place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 md, as the nearby university has no classes which means that the place can get nore full than it usually is. Great place to have a nice breakfast. Love how the place looks an awesome rustic but new look (if you now what I mean; if not, we'll I understand myself). Coffee is outstanding . Had the complete breakfast and liked it very much, 2 eggs, sweet and smoky bacon, toast and fries. It comes with an avocado spread (not fresh, this is something they should do in-house) and alioli. As a tourist looking for breakfast this place was a pleasant surprise. I am guessing it must be near a university and seems to be located in an area with lots of bars and not far from the brewery. An edgy vibe, this place so far has provided the best cup of coffee on our trip, and it isn't even close. In fact, the coffee here is better than most of what we can get back home. Don't stop there, as the breakfast selection is super and worth the visit as well. The service is outstanding. My boyfriend and I are always looking for good local coffee shops when we travel and that's how we came across Cabra Tosta. Coffee was good however there two things that we didn't like: #1 they display a list of milk choices but when you asked for them they were down to whole milk or soy milk (a bit disappointing) and #2 they had a minimum of $10 for credit cards!! The best coffee in town (Starbucks, eat your heart out). Their sandwiches are varied and very tasty. My favorite is the Mar Dulce (Sweet Sea) salmon with a touch of honey, others with me had the veggie sandwich in a spinach wrap, both outstanding. Prices are fair. Well worth the visit. read more
