I stopped here as my first official meal in Spain after traveling nearly 24 hrs on my arrival to walk the Camino de Santiago in September 2019. This location is beyond cozy. At first I was intimidated that it would be outside of my price range as the restaurant is beautiful with marble tile and counter tops. It looks like you could have seen ex pats sitting here in the 1920s!
I found a dish of beef tongue along with roasted red peppers served cold. As you can see it was sliced paper thin and served with wonderful Spanish bread. As many places in wine country of Spain they have an extensive local wine list. As a. On drinker I do not have a review but prices are very good 2 euro up to 6 or 8. They provided me with a small appetizer of local boiled sausages. Most local restaurants serve them they are delicious.
I loved the owner I entered into a conversation with her about the US for a while. I had arrived late near closing time and this was one of the few restaurants open she kept it open for me and we had a nice chat. read more
