I took my 4 year old during the afternoon after I booked online and kids cuts are $30 but I got charged $42. I don't think I will be back or recommend way to pricey for kids and just for extra info my boy was so calm throughout the service read more

They say walk ins welcomed and that they close at 7pm yet I came in @ 5:40pm and asked if they can cut my kids hair. They said yes and almost 20 mins later they tell me after 6pm they charge 40 bucks even for kids. He could of mentioned this as soon as I walked in. Wasted my time. Wouldn't recommend read more

I'm so sorry I haven't posted a review until now. My uncle is in his 70's and mentally handicapped. Although we do not live together, I visit as often as I can. A few years ago while out to lunch together he said "I need a haircut. Is there a barbershop around here?" I didn't know the area but did notice we passed one on the way to have lunch so we decided to swing by and see if anyone had time without an appointment. The place was busy, loud and filled with a much younger crowd, however, we were greeted warmly and told it would be about 30 minutes. To my surprise, my uncle was fine with that so we waited our turn. My uncle has hair everywhere except his head. These guys clean him up well and treat him like every other customer. He loves coming. Fast forward to a few years later... I think most of the barbers have taken care of my uncle. Always awesome. He wants to come even when he really doesn't need it. We never make an appointment - for all of those complaining - make one or wait patiently. You wouldn't want them to rush your experience, why expect them to rush someone else's because you planned your time poorly. If you like your cut, tip accordingly. These guys pay a lot in order to lease the space and the chairs. I've watched so much "art" walk out of that place and a lot of xseem only somewhat appreciative. These guys deserve better. Just moved to mo val about 6 months ago....was looking for a barber locally cuz well going to my barber in anaheim is a hassle.....fiund this shop...was a little skeptical at first..but walked in and got greeted .....jerry the barber is my dude...great barber ....30 bucks is kinda pricey but a cheap haircut is not good and a good haircut is not cheap....plus I rather pay 10 bucks than to drive 90 miles to go and come back from anaheim read more

Love this place, very professional, the wait time wasn't bad, I had my 6 yr old grandson cut by Adam, he did an amazing job. He's the one you want to cut your child's hair. Also kid friendly, I would highly recomend this place. read more

This place is alright, it would be better if they quit bull shitting. While waiting we noticed the barbers playing cards, cutting eachothers hair. Four people that were there before us walked out. I don't understand why these guys are cutting eachothers hair during business hours. I heard one guy was waiting 2hrs finally was next to get his hair cut and it took them another 2hrs to do it, the guy finally told him to hurry up and finish up because he had to go to work.... I'll give them 1 star and that's because I can't give 1/2 a star, they do cut hair good. But I think they been watching that movie "Barbershop" a few to many times and think that their clients want to stay there all day like if people don't have other shit to do.... Do not go and waste your time, first I called to make sure what was the wait time and the gentleman answered politely saying 20 minutes, once I arrive they have one person cutting hair and before I sat down he told me sorry i can't take you in till 3. Place is a hidden gem. Don't let the surrounding shopping center fool you. They are still in the works of getting their sign up. However, all Barbers I saw are Top Notch! After waiting an hour I was able to see the barbers in action. Very friendly down to earth guys with Barber Talent! Miguel is the barber who faded me up! Nice guy and love the cut. I will definitely be back to have him fade me up again. The owners name is Gilbert. He is first to greet you as you walk in. I recommend an appointment but you might want to wait to see who your barber will be after first visit. Once again if looking for a barber shop with talent and art, this is the spot! read more

Came to el barbershop as a walk in, I saw the 5 star reviews but I'm assuming that's just the barbers friends hooking them up because they are far from a professional establishment. They are rude and you get a subpar haircut. I gave them two stars just because it wasn't the worst haircut I ever gotten but certainly wasn't worth the wait or money. read more

Amazing experience from start to finish. I was looking for a barbershop as I'm new to the area. I was able to make an appointment from yelp which was really convenient. When I got there I waited for maybe 90 seconds before I was in a chair. It's my first time having a beard so I was unsure what I needed done other than having it cleaned up. GordoTheBarber hooked me up and made it look super clean. The haircut was great too. Far more detail, time, and effort than I've ever had someone put into a haircut. If you want to get a haircut where quality is the main concern, this is your place. They take a lot of pride in their work and it shows! A great barbershop and they really take care of you. A nice place to chill. The barbers here take their time with your cut so it comes out just how you want it. I always leave very satisfied with their work. They're handy with a blade, the shaves come out super clean! I do highly recommend you call ahead and make an appointment because the wait time for walk ins can be very long. Jr is the barber we request and he's awesome he never fails to give my boys a nice, clean cut. All the guys there are really good and patient when it comes to smaller children. He definitely has a passion for cutting hair and is gifted from God above ! I started going to him and have not stopped even if it meant flying in from San Francisco just to get a haircut ! I will not let anyone else touch my hair, There is not a single person in the world that will ever compete with him, he does take a while but only because he loves his job and what he does, this guy works the straight raiser just like Beethoven on the piano, I recommend downloading the Booksy app and setting an appointment with him so that there is no wait, and he will roll out the red carpet for you and treat you like royalty. I'm new in the area and I was looking for a barber for my two young boys 8 and 4. Came in this morning every single one of the guys were welcoming . Of course it's a guy barber shop and it's a sanctuary when guys are in there talking about everything. I get it, didn't bother me. However they were sweet enough to change music involving cursing, were careful about their language and repeatedly apologized for anything they felt might have not been Appropriate I found it incredibly sweet and respectful of them to consider me and my sons in a shop full of men. read more

First time being there this past Tuesday. It was a good experience. Guys take their time cutting your hair. Environment is pretty chill, nothing hostile. Small parking lot in front of it but it's worth it. Cuts are $20 but honestly it's worth it. Also bring cash, they don't take card but they have a ATM there. read more

You'd find people drinking and lounging in there couch like if it was a bar. Tried non-appointments; waits were insane and the barbers extremely rude. Never write reviews on places unless they are extremely awful or extremely good, in this case I have followed Gilbert, the owner of this barbershop for almost 10 years till this day, the best haircuts I have received from fades, tapers to fo hawks have been by him or anyone in his shop! I have a 2 year old son who I took in for a haircut. After being to 2 other barbershops in MoVal I Was satisfied with El Barbers wait time, service, & patience the barber had with my son. It's hard to find a barber who doesn't have a shit face about cutting a toddlers hair. Don't know the name of the barber, but he's Latin with a Cuban type accent when he speaks Spanish... It looks like I found a permanent place to get my sons hair cut! I hope I continue to get the same level of customer service when I return. read more
