A happening empanada joint in San Telmo - I was surprised at how delicious the food was, especially for the great prices. It seemed that mostly locals were coming here to eat, which was a good sign. I'd recommend any of their empanadas and their falafel wrap. The spicy lamb empanada was especially good - chock full of just the right amount of lamb and a nice kick of heat - I had to order a couple more after wolfing down the first one. The falafel wrap had just the right amount of veggies, sauce, and falafel. Also generous in size - it's big enough to feed two people. read more

El Banco Rojo is back with a vengeance! I love this new, bigger place and their outside patio. I still hate that smells too much inside and that you may end up with some food cologne yourself. This time I went with the lamb empanada, which is absolutely delicious, and some meat tacos that were OK. Food can be amazing or average depends on what you order but this place rarely disappoints. Don't waste your time here. Very touristy feel and the service is not very good. I was surprised by the good reviews it received, especially for the empanadas. We ordered the cordero picante (spicy lamb) and the sweet potato. These empanadas are deep fried which surprised me because all the others I have had were baked, this was not a turn off just unexpected. The disappointment was the flavor of the filling and the temperature. The center was ice cold! This made me feel like they were probably not fresh - most likely refrigerated and then thrown in the deep fryer as ordered...blah! read more

My favorite restaurant in Buenos Aires! Good Burgers, Tacos, Falafel etc. Everything for fair prices. There are a few tables were you can eat inside, but the music is quite loud... there are also a few tables outside. Or just take the food to go. It is definitely a trendy place for young people :-) read more

I had the veggie burger with carrots and pumpkin. It was absolutely delicious. Their fries resemble chips and are very good.

My husband and I are in town from the states and found this place. The falafel tacos (and the amazing ness chips) were to die for. So much food but so light. My husband got the cordero suave empanadas and every bite was belicious. We sat on the patio and everyone was super friendly and great vibes throughout. We stopped by here for a snack on our walk through San Telmo. We ordered 2 different empanadas. They were quite small in size. They both packed quite a bit of flavour and considering they were odd types for us (blood pudding) we still liked them. The place seemed like the perfect spot for a quick lunch or afternoon snack and seemed to embody the toughness of the neighbourhood. read more
