We saw this café open in the morning serving some gelato as we came in to town towards the town center to St. Georgkirche. Single scoop cone is 1.30 €. The cone wasn't an usual waffle-type cone served elsewhere, but it was a more traditional wafer-like cone. We enjoyed our cones very much--banana & pistachio (photo). It was just what we needed to get us going for the rest of the afternoon.

There is plenty of choice, the way the ice is presented is typical for an Italian galateria. A bit shabby signs on big piles of ice cream. The ice is home made and delicious. The decoration sauces probably not: "why spoil well made ice, with industry decoration sauce?" Just enjoy the pure ice, especially the yoghurt ice is recommended. When I'm in Günzburg again, will go there again to pickup an ice cream. A well deserved 4 out of 5.
