I could go for some 5 star premium ice cream and she was like "say no more" and told me to put "N'Eis Das Neustadteis" in to the ol' google maps. So I did. AND BOY I WAZ NOT LET DOWN. LIKE BANG. N'Eis is like the Beyoncé of the ice cream game in Mainz and them other place are the rest of Destiny's Child. Ain't nobody going to no Kelly Rowland concert when the Queen B in town. So get ya friends and head do here. Like diggity now.

Pretty cheap too - 1 scoop for €1,80! The person who helped us was cheery. They have a pretty standard selection of flavours for scoops and gelato cups, and they also have some cakes available. Looks like theres sandwiches and other savoury stuff if you're looking to have a meal there.

Their menu is quite extensive, they have sandwiches and stuff if you want a meal, and plenty of drink options too, but of course ice cream is their special. They have many varieties of sundaes, which brings back sweet childhood memories for me. They also have spaghetti ice cream, though my German friends scoffed at that, "well, who wants spaghetti ice cream? They are everywhere!" So I didn't get to try it... even though I haven't seen any place in Miami offering that. (I did have it before in Asia... so do we need Columbus to bring that over to America?) This place is cash only.

It's always clean, the staff caters to each customer by asking if you may need help understanding the concept. Each time I've been here I've had a staff member who could speak English helping me navigate my terrible German. If there is a drawback to this oasis it's that it has to be in conformity with the mall's operating hours. I would love to be able to come here after 8 or 9pm. So, you just need to plan ahead.
En uiteraard ook koffie en thee.

Coccola is known in Darmstadt for serving interesting ice cream flavors. They feature new flavors…read moreevery day, which is cool. When we arrived there was a long line. We waited about 30 min so I had high hopes. We got the honey/sage ice cream which was quite good. The cherry chocolate was horrible, we tried to pass the cone between us to get rid of it as fast as possible. Had hardly any sugar and was just not good. The chocolate was pretty good and the blueberry not so much. The wait time was ridiculous. They had one woman scooping which is crazy considering its spring. The ice cream was ok, nothing to rave about. I guess people like it because of the exciting flavor combos but the ice cream itself is not the best consistency. Its almost watery instead of creamy.
