It was very unprofessional and arrogant, the way a question was handled, especially since he said they have been out of business due to Covid, really this is how you want to regrow your business, by being arrogant and pushing your customer away. For somebody who goes to this establishment, for almost a year now, and lives in the neighborhood, it was quite shocking and disappointing to find the hostility and defensiveness to a simple question. Where it could've been handled in a polite and professional manner, instead of giving me excuses and telling me it is what it is. ONCE AGAIN I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR REFUND OR DISCOUNT BUT TRANSPARENCY. If you tell me it is $30.97($32) before I sit in your chair, and then when it is done it is $45, you will be questing it too. "Maybe it was honest mistake or their prices suddenly jumped to what it said online and to what I booked for. The reason why I'm posting this is to show the future customer that this is how they run their business. I tried to find the transparency through private message, but clearly they don't give a s***t and told me to go find somewhere else if you don't like. It is cheap, but the worst…read more I told the lady specifically not to shorten my sideburns, she not only shortened it, but almost shaved them off. My sideburns are discontinued in the middle. When I argued with her she claimed that it wasnt her fault and that I didnt have any hair there! Which is not true, its my hair ofcourse I know! She then managed to somehow stick her comb in my earing and pulled it so hard that it started bleeding. I asked her to check if it was bleeding, she lied and said no. And said that it was infected from before (wouldnt I have had known, if it was infected.). Even the rest of the hair was done pretty bad. She couldnt even make the hair even from all sides and I had to point out to her so that she could do so. These guys are liars and are terrible people!

It was superb. They really take their time with their clients, and all the staff are very professional, but fun and friendly as well. They specialize in face and neck shaves, mustache ('mo bros this might be a good place to remember in November!), and beard trims, and obviously hair. I've been to several barber shops with Noah, and I would say this cut definitely took the longest. That being said - his hair has never looked this good! (maybe I'm exaggerating...but it does look awesome!). The place is pretty bare bones, which is probably nice for guys - not intimidatingly stylish like a salon. It does have a cool, retro feeling to it though with leather chairs and old barbershop photos on the wall. At $25 for a barber cut, it's definitely above average for a guy's haircut, but the detail and service is above average as well. They have a great selection of products for dudes here including their own line of razors.

I got my typically haircut, which is short on the sides (#1) and about 2" on top (so I can spike my hair up and looks youthful and cool). The barber mentioned to me that their equipment is different than the standard the industry uses. He showed me what a number 1.5 looks like. It was to my liking and the perfect length for my sides. So cool tidbits of information I got from him. The Orleans location is 2 years old. There are a number of locations across ottawa and all the locations are owned by the owner. All the training is done in house and is given a certification once successfully completely the course. A nice add to the hair cut was they gave a hot shave to the back of the neck. It felt soo good. The haircut was $25 (pre tax and pre gratuity); rather expensive from my usually haircut. They allow you to pre book online and welcome walk ins too. Also, since they do all their training in house, you can sign up to a free haircut if you don't mind being a model for them and letting the trainees train on you (the owner is there to supervise the whole procedure). Check them out. My barber was Andrew. Funny guy. I would go back to them.
