Seller BEWARE! They promised integrity and instead delivered haphazard incompetency and outright theft. I spent weeks doing inventory, categorizing, packaging, etc., in preparation to auction off a company I operated for 17 years. After drop off they intentionally mixed the contents, even more, they actually stole property, which they withheld to the following auction, which they then sold a portion, and never repaid me. I did not realize the very last line in the contract you are forced to sign at drop off states that you will be held liable for their attorney fees when they are in breech of the contract! They KNOW they are dishonest, and rather than correct their actions they just keep finding new clients to cheat. I was a purchaser customer for a decade, and ignorantly felt a "connection". Hypocritical selling practices. They will accept and auction ITEM A, but if my husband brings the same exact item in, they make excuses and say they don't auction those. He brought 2 of items B, sold just fine but the next time he brought a 3rd, same exact thing and quality but they rejected it. Brought in a brand new in box lamp, but they rejected saying they only will sell LED lamps but in the very next auction they have non-LED lamps, not even new in the box. They play favorites with certain sellers and are hypocrites to others. They have a reputation for doing this. It's common knowledge. This makes them terrible to work with to sell items. read more

Don't expect any better service that you get from Xfinity. Plan on picking up the required day and don't wait any longer and don't even ask. If they could have waited 3 days I would have saved a 180 miles of driving as I would have been in the area anyway. Also consider it was a small item and could have been shipped, but no joy. They informed me they only ship coins, even though they have shipped for me in the past. I swear the response to my complaint will be written by an employee stating they are a customer. purchsed $700 in items on the auction that closed on 12/18/22 Called to explain on the 20th that I tested positive for Covid so was unable to pick up items. Went to get items on the 28, and they refused to give them to me, even though they were paid for. Said they were being resisted. Bottom line they took my $700. Charged me my Byers premium. Are charging me a listing premium. And I get a check, maybe, in 2 more weeks when this auction closes. Rude office staff, they lied about ad conversations that never occurred. Dont wast your time with cyber auction. At one time it was a good place to purchase or even take you items to sell. The last few times ive brought in unused still in the box sealed materials to sell and they refused to take them. When I go online to see what they might be selling and see the same stuff, but used like out of a storage unit.. They dont follow their own policies. It's an auction.... where you buy at your own risk, and you have no idea if the stuff is working or not. If you feel you have been duped, then you are probably an inexperienced bidder, and should stay out of my way. Literally, everyone on here that has reviewed 1 star, has no idea how auctions work. I've purchased several things from this auction site, and all at my risk - the stuf is used after all. I know my limit on bidding, and I factor possible repairs. Scam! Not only does the auction not end at the scheduled times. In fact the items I bid on the end time was reset every 5 min for 5 more hour beyond the scheduled end time! Because of this I lost one of the items I was bidding for. I was the leading bidder 6 minutes before the scheduled end time. Another bid cam in 30 minutes after the auction end time and out bid me. Shady practice so they can squeeze more commission out of the sale. the 3 items I did win were literally garbage. No comment in the auction description to the fact that I was bidding on literally broken and unusable equipment Cordless headphones nothing but crackle of static no actual sound transmission and missing the power cord to charge it. A pressure washer with a handle but no spray nozzle. Broken off after the handle but in the pic they only show it tucked in the holster so you can't tell It's broken and worthless again literal trash And some metal shelving again the picture doesn't show and no description to the fact that the legs were half rusted out and half the shelves were broken and not usable. Despicable... literal trash Literal Trash Of and don't bother calling them to complain about it They absolutely don't care two shits about retaining customers or have any concept of customer service Got passed off from one person to another that basically told me to bad their system is designed to add more time to the auction to optimize how much money they can get for each item the end time is just a guide but not strictly followed. Auction went on 5 hours after it should have stopped sent me a invoice bill with in 20 min of closing ( 12 midnight sun night ) no problem .. paid it a as soon as I got it .. Then here is the kicker they want me ti pick it up by tue 5 min ( with in 40 hours of closing last bid ) .. I tried but no way .. so they give me a penalty of 82.50 for not picking it up ** WOW** .. After having done business with this establishment previously and everything turned out quite well, I decided to bid again. After all I was a registered user, I was paying with the same payment method as I had done previously. Then I had the distinct privilege of dealing with the business Gestapo. I had the bummer that everyone hates called losing your wallet. To get a WA id I need a birth certificate. to get a birth certificate, I need a notarized application, to get one of those, I have show id. I haven't figured out how to get around this. However the Gestapo would take my car registration? My insurance card? This tells me the Gestapo is being nosey rather than just caring about having proper business transaction. After all we've already established a smooth business relationship. I do not drive and I arranged to have someone give me a ride to pick up my items. A total waste of time for everyone involved. I could see her point if I was buying a motor vehicle... but I'm just buying a drill bit and some used and beat tools under a hundred dollars. Also a existing successful business track record. Doesn't really say much for trust in a business relationship. If you do for some reason "have to do business" with them, you may want take along some bribery material, it may prove a valuable tool when having to deal with the business Gestapo. I got better treatment when I reported to boot camp at NRTC San Diego. Business is supposed be a pleasurable experience. You're not supposed to have endure it. As a customer I shouldn't have to get the ATF Federal treatment. As it is a family operation and they have their family running it., maybe it's time to put mom out to pasture so she can reap the benefits of life and get over the hurdles of day to day business operations. She Definately makes it known she's not enjoying her existence in her managerial position.Two hours after our short but sweet disagreement my credentials we're erased from the server. You will not find any great deals or hidden-gems, here. They pick out the good stuff and sell it separately, on eBay, etc. The prices skyrocket at the end of the auction. Unlike say Craigslist or eBay, the several times I've bought something from Ehli I've been disappointed and felt I got a bad deal -- the item didn't work, or was smaller than it looked, or much lower quality than I'd imagined, or dirty, etc. All sales are final, there's no returns. To know what you're getting, you really need to come look at it in advance -- so add another round-trip to your time. Then it takes a lot of time to find items in the warehouse -- add another 2 hours? (People I met there seemed almost like compulsive-gamblers, with a competitive sense that they must 'win' something -- so the prices get bid up too high, imho.) Beware! Many of the food items have been recalled for safety hazards! I don't know how they get away with selling these! Do an online search for the item and add "recall" or "recalled". Same with many of new, unopened items (or boxes of them) -- they often have been recalled for product safety (e.g., fire-hazard, etc.). Their new location is even further away for those coming from the Seattle area (it's about 20 minutes south of Tacoma, now), and traffic on I-5 around Tacoma is terrible. Multiple the time that Google Maps says by about 1.5, to factor in traffic. Some of their items are actually even further away, in Sumner or Lakewood, etc., and you must go there yourself to pick up any items you win. You pay for all items whether or not you pick them up (they take your credit card when you register online). (It is not obvious when you are bidding which items are stored where.) Not recommended. read more

Think twice if you want to auction with Ehli! the price you pay is very high and the stuffs is just junk and not working! even they put the use rice cooker in the box and try to make the bidder think it is new (they have 2 rice cooker, one in the box and another is not). I admit, I should've looked up what dynamic closing is before I bid. From what I can tell, it means they extend the auction until the seller has time to decide if they want to take your bid or not. Why put a time limit on it? Why not put a reserve price on items to save everyone some time. On a different auction, I bought some sheet vinyl. Description does not tell you what size it is, although it was clearly marked on the label. They also left it outside in the rain. Most people know that leaving vinyl, or really any other flooring out in the rain is not good for it. I will not be participating in these auctions again. I will say that both times I called the receptionist was helpful and friendly. read more

It's been a while now, but several auctions back I bid on a Stihl chainsaw that was listed as 'needing some work'. I bid on it sight unseen as I have never had an issue with items I had won. When I picked it up, I took it to my local Stihl dealer to have it worked on, lo and behold, the piston had a hole burnt through it, It would have cost me approximately $200 dollars to have the engine rebuilt, provided there was nothing else wrong with it. Never again will I purchase anything mechanical from them prior to seeing it. Recently I won an item that retails for $320 for $95....not bad. The morning I was going to go pick it up, we had been notified of a family emergency in another state well outside the local area. I contacted Ehli Auctions, Kathy Ehli to be exact, and informed her of my situation, once I explained everything she got very hostile towards me kind of expecting me to abandon our unplanned trip to pick up the item before heading to Portland. I asked that they hold the item until we got back in the area, the only solution she offered was for me to pay for the item and they would turn around and post it on the next auction for sale and take an additional 30% of the proceeds. She accused me of saying I wasn't going to pay for the item, when that was never said. Threatened me and got extremely belligerent over the transaction. Will I use Ehli Auctions again, I don't know! read more

I had an auction account with Ehli for about three years. Bidders can preview the consignment auction at Ehli but all auctions are online only with dynamic closings. The invoice can be obtained a few hours later on the website. Not a problem. First Issue: A few months ago, I noticed that I had TWO invoices for the same auction (two different invoice numbers). Ehli does update their website fairly often so I wasn't really worried about a minor bug. I always go to Ehli to pay cash and pick up my winnings. I printed one invoice and brought the "two invoices for the same auction situation" to Kathy Ehli's attention. She looked up my account on her computer and said she would delete the second invoice. A few days later, I noticed that my bank account had been debited for the second invoice. I contacted Ehli and my bank account was eventually credited. My winnings at that particular auction were only around forty dollars but I'd actually won auctions in the past for hundreds of dollars...what a mess that would have been. Second Issue: When Ehli auctions off an entire business, the items usually stay at the closed business and aren't moved to Ehli's location. Not a problem, EXCEPT that the location and pickup time(s) are noted on the website ONLY before the auction closes. After the auction closes, the information winning bidders need isn't shown on the invoice or in the email sent after the auction closes. When asked about it, Carrie Ehli says to follow Ehli on Facebook where that information is posted...why make bidders take an extra step when it would be so much easier to just print the information on the invoice? Third Issue: Except for family members and office help, I've never seen the same employees in the warehouse more than a couple months. Other auction houses in the area (Hamilton's, Stokes, Tillmon) seem to have the same employees for years! Why is there such a revolving door? read more

They have had some good stuff on the auction block, but their auction engine (probably hand written in JS) sucks. If you bid on an item and put a max bid of $300, and someone else then bids $300, they are now the highest bidder, not you. The algo sucks and needs to be written by someone who knows math and functions. read more

I've participated in close to 1,000 auctions, maybe even more. Some online, some live, but these people run the weirdest online auction I've ever encountered. If you've bid in an online auction you know how it works, you make a bid, someone might outbid you, but in the end whoever bids the most wins it. Simple. An online auction with hundreds or thousands of things (like Ehli Auctions) is a bit different than say eBay where there is only one item you are bidding on and it has a specific closing day/time. Most online auctions are run similarly; there is a day/time where the auction ends. However, sometimes the auction house will extend a SPECIFIC item if it gets a bid in say the last minute. This allows other people a chance to increase their bid without being outbid at the last moment. Still simple, right? Ehli is the ONLY auction I've ever participated in where they extend EVERY item even an unrelated item gets a last minute bid. For example, they have an auction going on as I type this with over 2,000 items. It was supposed to close 8 hours ago, but they keep extending all 2,000 items because someone bids on one of those 2,000 items in the last minute (i.e. a minute doesn't go by without a bid on something). I was/am the high bidder on a few items and they haven't received another bid for over 7 hours. However, the item won't end because they keep extending the ENTIRE auction. Damn screwiest thing I've seen in the auction business. With that said, I tell myself every time that I'm not bidding in this b.s. every again, but then 2 weeks later they have another pile of junk that looks interesting. They'd get 5 stars if they would just change their policy regarding extending the auction if no bid is made on THAT item instead of extending everything. read more

I had to liquidate my arcade machines and equipment soon to get out of my leased building. Thank God for cyber auctions! Out of 30 auctions I`ve only previewed a few.I`ve bought a few mechanical things that were no good, but I`ve gotten so many good items at a small fraction of the original price that it makes it very well worth the time and money for me. Don't expect any extra assistance at all from the owners. They are inflexible, generally demanding removal of items within 48hrs. They have considerable, available, covered storage that they will not consider renting you even for a few days to accommodate any special pickup considerations of the buyers, even at a fee. And you better check how they use your credit card to avoid them double charging you for your purchased items too. I am unable to continue doing business with them. read more

I just bought a number of things at Auction and made the assumption that this was not a flea market but I was wrong. There was a basic foundation that if you are selling something that at least Ehli's plugged it in and checked it out. Of course as a buyer I am responsible but given this is a "cyberauction" there is a presumption that the stuff worked - buyer beware - Next time I have a bunch of non-working stuff - I know where to take it - Ehli Auction. It isn't the seller's reputation on the line - it is Ehli's reputation on the line. I will never buy again nor will I recommend my friends ever again. $100 down the drain. read more

I bid on an kitchen hood site unseen figuring for 5 bucks it didnt really matter if it was garbage. After driving for over an hour I arrived, went inside there warehouse and all I found under the item number was a piece of the vent. I went up front and a nice young lady assisted me with my problem. Back to the warehouse where she started questioning the warehouse staff. Finally one of the guys said that Randy(owner) had done something with it, go talk to him. Randy looks at the picture and says" it had been sold at a previous action, sorry, just a clerical error". I responded by by telling him that wasnt my problem that I had over 2 hr round trip not to mention the pay I was not receiving (70.00). So, with a smart ass grin he says " what do you want me to do about it, give you some gas money, it was a piece of crap anyway, I dont think it even worked" I was so pissed off with his attitude I took 20.00 for my gas. Im not sure if I can expect any more then that, he did try to at least to compensate me in part but that isnt the real issue is it? I know actions are as is and there is some inherent risks when bidding in one but knowingly selling someone a "PIECE OF CRAP" for the highest price is what really disgusts me. I have never had this kind of blatant disreguard for truth and honesty from anyone icluding other auctioneers like JG or any other. So, just a heads up,Beware!!!!!
