One of the ushers decided that this would be an appropriate time to hit on several girls at the funeral of their recently deceased friend. He talked about how "beautiful" they were and asked for their numbers. I was extremely angry and called the company the next day to complain. I talked to an equally condescending man on the phone who just kept repeating that the young man I repeated was simply "a good Christian man" and would never mean harm. This situation was so wildly inappropriate, and I would caution anyone who deals with them. I am posting this now because even at the almost two year anniversary of his death, I will never forget how this company made a terrible day even worse.

He went out of his way to find Clemson pins for the pallbearers and family. The entire staff was so caring and considerate of our wants and needs. I was impressed by the care given to my daughter-in-law's appearance. The details were perfect. The staff worked with my son and his budget, and didn't try to push more than what he could afford. Kyle explained the different costs clearly and gave us good advice on managing them. Even after the funeral, the business office has worked with my son to arrange an even better payment plan. The family of Pam Bracey cannot thank everyone enough for all you have done for our family.

From the adoptive parent side, I can tell you that Jim and his staff are absolutely wonderful!!!…read more They are smart and funny and warm but, most importantly, they are passionate about adoption. I was impressed that he wrote adoption laws. It was important to me that his entire practice be focused on adoption. We wanted an adoption expert, we wanted the best attorney and we got him. After the frustration and pain of unexplained infertility, Jim gave us hope that we could be parents. In a very short time, our birthmother chose us and we chose her. There was no manipulation, she could have changed her mind at any point prior to signing the papers. We knew that and so did she. I'm very happy to say that she did not change her mind and we became the parents of one absolutely fantastic daughter. When extenuating circumstances delayed the finalization of our adoption, Jim was confident and reassuring. And with good reason, he knows the law. He patiently explained to us how the adoption laws work and why everything was going to be okay. And he was right, everything turned out just fine. That was years ago, but Jim's office helps us maintain contact with our birthmother. Contact is important for her sake as well as for my daughter's sake. Our adoption is no dark secret, we talk about it openly. I'm glad I've met her birthparents because it helps me answer her questions. Without a doubt, my daughter knows that she is loved by her parents and her birthparents too. I thank God daily for the privilege of being a mom. If you too want to be a mom, talk to the great people at The Law Offices of James Fletcher Thompson.
