Diego helped mediate the transaction and then he hand-delivered the paperwork to our home address...not once, but twice! He met me today to drop off the keys, and everything was as promised. This ended up being a GREAT decision. George is very professional and courteous, and he genuinely wants to get you the best apartment and rental rate he possibly can. The first apartment he showed me met my specifications exactly (and he provided round-trip transportation from his office), and as soon as I knew I wanted it he immediately set things in motion. Later that day I was approved and I signed the lease the next morning. The entire process felt very smooth and fast. The NYC rental market is a tough beast to navigate, and George was more than willing to answer all my questions about rent, fees, upkeep, tenants' rights, early lease breaking, and any other minor concerns I had as a first-time renter. I walked away not only with a great apartment, but a much better understanding of how the market works. But it doesn't end there. When it came time to renew my lease, my landlord raised the rent by quite a bit. After informing George of this, he helped me negotiate the new rate down to a much more reasonable number! I find it amazing that all these Yelp reviews hold him and your company in such high regard, yet here I am with my own experience and it was nothing like any of these reviews. We originally were supposed to meet at 6pm to view 351 Central Avenue in Jersey City. Then, that got pushed back due to the fact that the current tenant wouldn't be home. That's fine. But I had left Ariel a voicemail message explaining that we could meet anywhere between 6:15-6:30pm to see a similar apartment in the same building. He calls me back, not having listening to his voicemail to hear that I told him the times I mentioned above. So we verbally agreed to meet within that 15 minute time frame. I text Ariel at 6:15 to let him know that my boyfriend and I were on our way to meet him. No reply. 6:30, I tell him we're there. No reply. 6:35, still nothing. We go into a nearby store, at 6:45. THAT'S when he called me. Explaining that he was showing another apt. Are you kidding me? That's not only rude, but extremely unprofessional. Not to mention, that I've now lost a few hours of pay because I left work early. When Ariel finally showed up, he didn't even apologize for being late! Finally, he shows us the apartment and there are ROACHES EVERYWHERE. Apparently, someone decided to bomb the apartment before we got there. I've never seen anything like that in my life. When I say everywhere, I mean that in every sense of the word. I've never seen anything like that - and for your company to show something like that, you should be ashamed of yourselves! I can now scratch your company off my list for trying to help me find a place. Two chances- and they've both been blown.
