After several attempts to make his appointment (as we have a couple times a year for a few years), I got the feeling they didn't want us as clients anymore. I called another vet, and they said they could see him right away, and they would call W&H to get his records. My husband took him to the new vet, but they said they couldn't see him bc W&H just told them he was registered under my dad's name, and needed to call my parents to make sure my husband hadn't stolen him. Dr. Sam Walton is especially great - he is usually really busy but when there is a problem, he is thorough and thoughtful in explaining the problem and any possible treatments. The staff isn't always pleasant, but 99.9% of the time they are. They are always able to squeeze me in last minute, are always polite and always take great care of my fur-babies. boarding is $5-$10 per day depending on the size of your dog. frontline and heartgard prices are also the lowest I've seen anywhere. yes a few days ago I gave away my lab. I had 4 doses of frontline left and Waltons took it back and let me which for the small dog doses. how nice is that! Its million dollar service for a budget pricetag.

Dr. Courtney Daum is so compassionate and truly cares about you and your pet. Anytime I have called they get me in ASAP. One of my dogs recently had to be put to sleep and Dr. Daum and her assistant stayed late in the evening to take care of us. i told them I was sorry because they had had a very long day and I was sure they would have liked to gone home. But Dr. Daum said we will stay as long as needed and for me not to worry. I will not go to any other Vet.

I…read moregot my bunny spayed and they sent her home with NO pain meds and a cone on her (rabbits shouldn't have a cone on them since they aren't nipping at stitches and if they ever are-- putting them in a onesie prevents it) She was in misery refused to move or drink and was grinding her teeth in pain. I took off the cone asap and it took me hours to get her to even drink lil drips. (Rabbits can go into GI Stasis if they stop eating for 6-8 hrs this can be fatal if not noticed). I feel so guilty since it's common sense to give an animal (or human) painkillers after. i didn't connect the pieces until after the first night. When I called the lady refused to even ask the doctor to prescribe pain meds to a post-op bunny. I wish I took her to a different vet. Never went back since. If you can afford the drive (Taylorville) I suggest Countryside Animal Hospital.

Receptionist did make sure to run out to gripe at us for letting her out of kennel for a few minutes after waiting room empty. Understand dogs need to be kenneled or leashed, but others weren't while we were there and not one word. Absolutely ridiculous that they didn't even check her vitals but did of others to determine who was more critical. Again, how do you know if you didn't even take her vitals or look at her to see other than to gripe at us? Felt like whole attitude was based around them being upset about her being let out for about two minutes. You'd think they'd care more about the animals than copping attitudes. Funny how you see negative reviews - lots of them - on every site but their own.

I have tried wrapping it but the wrap won't stay on, we have tried everything we can to help him but he is getting worse... I have tried to call emergency vets at Clyde's Animal Clinic but because we don't have money right now, they do not care about your animal unless you have money! my dog is bleeding to death, won't eat or drink, in pain, panting like crazy and they won't do ANYTHING to help him!! We have tried everything we can at home but needs to be seen by a vet but they won't see him because we don't have the money to "pay for services" right now. I offered to give them our debit card information and they could charge it on Friday the 31st but they still won't do anything to help our dog. I realize they need money to pay for supplies and such but the care of the animal SHOULD BE more important! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL! THEY JUST BLOCKED ME BECAUSE I GAVE THEM A BAD REVIEW! THEY DONT WANT PEOPLE KNOWING THEY DONT TRULY CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS!
