I don't do a lot of reviews. Only when a place is really good -- or really, really bad. And I try to keep the bad ones to a bare minimum. So, here's the deal with Edwin's.... I just found them, but I now know I won't take my vehicles to any other shop. I drive old classics -- a 98 Cherokee, lightly modified; and a 1980 F-100, heavily modified and restored. The Jeep is my current problem child. After having 5 different shops try to correct a front-end issue that several of them couldn't even diagnose, I went to Edwin's upon the recommendation of an auto parts store. Pulled in, told Edwin the issue, and seconds later he was on the ground under my rig, looking at the front end. He diagnosed it on the spot, fixed it a couple of days later, and the problem is gone. Here's the kicker: I have another mild issue with rear brakes -- nothing major, I know approximately what it is, and know it can wait. I've told other shops about it, and they cannot diagnose it. Without me telling Edwin about it, he diagnosed it correctly, and gave me an estimate. The dude knows Jeeps. I'm sure he knows other makes just as well, but I know for sure that he has a special fondness for Jeeps, especially classics, and knows them inside out, because he's built them from the ground up. I don't plan to ever get rid of the Cherokee -- I'll do a full restoration in a couple of years. Or, rather, Edwin will do it. His prices are fair, they all treat you like a friend, and they really, really know what's up. Lots of Jeeps in the area -- Edwin is your guy, hands down. read more
