Usually stopping in during lunchtime hair salons are super busy. This one was like a ghost town. I parked and went up to the window and turned around and left to begin with. Apparently the owner of this joint is too cheap to take credit cards. WTF?! Do those places exist besides little lemon aid stands that 4 years olds put up on the curb? Apparently this guy don't believe in fees and cards. Cash only please. That is really sketchy. Any ways....I went to ATM and came back and the lady who cut my hair was nice enough and I think was on some speed record cut or something. She sat me down, put on the bib, and within 2 minutes was telling me to get up and pay. WOW. SUPER FAST. This place is apparently about quantity not quality. Which is stupid because I was the only one that came close to their door. Even the mail man passed them by. So service isn't this places strong suit. Neither is holding back on the gossip. I heard all kinds of stuff with in that 2 min about how cheap ass the owner was. Bitter party of 1...check please. I will not be going back here unless to check in to poke fun of them again. He can check his security footage that he pointed out that he had. Hmmmm, having a security camera to record his cuts??? Seems like I mustn't be the first unhappy customer. From my experience, he's the typical old school barber who has poor listening skills and chose to cut my hair as he saw fit... not how I asked or was evident from how my hair looked from my previous cut! The only thing he must have heard was "1 and a 1/2". An Edward Scissor Hands or Picasso he is not! This was the quickest haircut that I've ever had, and again, the worst in 63 years! The shop was empty when I walked in, so there was no need to rush the task at hand! In hindsight, maybe there is a reason why the shop was empty... Sitting back in the chair, so he could try to repair the haphazard results, he had the nerve to share an unexpected and flippant comment to tell me to consider buying my own set of clippers and cut my hair myself. Then when paying, he passive-aggressively told me in a nice tone to try Great Clips next time, which I replied that I have already done so and they did a much better job. I expect a retort from him for my review, but so be it... I'm only giving an accurate and fair feedback based upon my experience, so any potential first-time customer like me has an honest feedback to consider before deciding. Unfortunately for me, the experience and cut was terrible. Hopefully, my hair will grow enough before I walk my daughter down the aisle in 16 days and another barber can repair the damaged caused by Shabby's Barber Shop.
