Dr. Kampsen has been my ENT since 1998. He is definitely one of my favorite doctors around the Tampa Bay Area. Not only is he a great physician, he also has a great bedside manner. I am usually able to get in to see him or Trent, his Physician's Assistant, the same day if I call in the morning. I cannot say enough about his office staff. I almost feel as if they have become family to me since I have been seeing Dr. Kampsen for almost fifteen years. Tina and Scott are always a joy to talk to and Jane is always quick to give me a hug when I walk in. I never worry if I cannot get in to see Dr. Kampsen because Trent is just as good. They are both efficient and a pleasure to deal with, despite your malady or reason for being there. Yes, sometimes your wait may be long, but I expect that in most doctors' offices. It is also because everyone loves Dr. Kampsen, who in turn, loves his patients and his job. You can tell the staff does too, the employee turnover in this office is the lowest I have ever seen. read more

Love, love, love Dr. Kampsen and his team. Dr. Kampsen is a straight to the point doctor and isn't for the sensitive but, he means well and has you in his best interest. After many years of seeing Dr. Kampsen I finally got the surgery he has been saying I needed for 5 years now and do I wish I got it sooner. The pre-op all the to the post-op appts have been amazing. The day I finally said "I'm ready", Dr. Kampsen took my hand and held it all the way post-op. Any questions, concerns, or just need to talk he's there. A few days before the surgery I came in and spoke with his PA, Trent who explained the whole operation in depth and what to expect after during recovery. The day of the surgery Dr. Kampsen came in to me and answer any questions I had. While under Dr. Kampsen updated my husband on how everything went and answered any questions he had. My husband was very impressed by him and he thorough directions and gave my husband his number to call him if any other questions or concerns came up. A few days later I came to get the packing out and Dr. Kampsen and my husband were cracking jokes and keeping me calm, as I was terrified. Dr. Kampsen numbed my nose and then pulled out the packing and cleaned my sinuses out. He then answered any questions, explained what I need to do now on my part and scheduled another follow up appt. So far I am very pleased with my experience so far and have already referred two other friends who need the same surgery to Dr. Kampsen. Why 4 stars? Because it was possibly the worst pain of my life, but they fixed the problem. --- --- --- So, I've had random nose bleeds for most of my life. It was probably from me thinking I was cool at summer camp by snorting a Fun Dip. Sometimes, you're just not that smart when your brain is smaller. In college, I was sick of the nose bleeds, so I went to get the inside of my nose cauterized. For a couple months, I was nose bleed-free. Then, one drunken wrestling night later, they were back. And I'd been dealing with them for years since then. So I went to Dr. Kampsen's office to get the same procedure done... but this time... it was definitely a lot more painful than I remembered. And when I say painful, I mean that I don't recall anything hurting more than this in my entire life. Not only did it hurt, but it's the most awkward and uncomfortable thing ever. The nurse had to hold my head up, but she was scared that she would be electrically shocked just from touching me. That's never a good sign. You know when you're using jumper cables, and sometimes they cause a bit of a spark? Yeah, it felt like about three minutes of that, but this was four inches inside my nose. It would make this hummmmmmmmm sound, which would feel uncomfortable, and then it would go *SPARK* which would result in me wishing for death. After it was over, I looked like I had just been mugged in an alley. Massive nose bleed, water gushing out of my eyeballs and nose, and just a general sense of confusion. What the hell just happened to me? I had no idea. So over the next couple weeks, it was scabby and disgusting of course. It took every ounce of willpower in my body not to pick at it, but I lost that battle, and basically picked the scab out. This caused the whole thing to be a waste of time, and I had to return to the death chamber for a second time. This time around, they presented me the option to go under, where they would be able to do a more thorough job, and it would allow me to not have to feel like I was being tortured for information. I had never been so excited to take a longer and more complicated route in my life. So I went through with the surgery, and have only had about two nose bleeds since Thanksgiving. It seems to have worked wonders! Thanks Dr. Kampsen! Also, I'd like to point out... this office should absolutely end up on a reality show someday. Every person that works here is such a character. Every time I go in, it's more like a party than a doctor's office. read more

I felt very great about the care I received from Dr. Kampsen and Dr. Austin. They explained things in a very easy-to-understand manner and truly helped. The office staff of Jane for vitals, Shannon for background questions, and Rachel at check out. I really like the office staff. I was kept waiting 50 minutes which was annoying but it happens sometimes so I didn't freak out. read more

I had a blocked ear, it is sickness season and COVID-19 does nit help. CDC guideline procedures were being conducted. I felt completely comfortable. I was checked in by Scott, a great asset to the company, assessed by Trent and sent on my merry way in less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend the practice. read more

My middle child had suffered from chronic strep since June 2016. He got it every month. Despite 5 positive strep tests from our 5 visits to urgent care- our pediatrician informed me that "children under 2 DONT GET STREP." What in the heck. I must have missed that lecture in my microbiology class. I was finally able to get a referral to Dr. Kampsen. (Mind you, our pediatrician told me the ENT would laugh me out of the office because of his whole "children under 2 don't get strep" ideology.) Guess what? The ENT DIDNT laugh us out of the office. Drs Savage and Kampsen wondered if the pediatrician had ever looked in my sons throat. They said my child's tonsils were touching and that just by looking at them they could tell the tonsils were quite diseased and should come out ASAP. The surgery was scheduled for January 18, 2017. It was very successful and my son has had only one cold since this operation. We love Dr. Kampsen and Dr Savage. read more

Appointment at 4:45 office closed at 5p still waiting to be seen at 5:45.. I was the last patient seen. Dr. Kampsen wasn't personable. He had to check both ears. Instead of getting up and working around me he just pulled me and made me twist to check the other ear.. I don't know if I will be back. read more

Appt. was at 2:30, wasn't seen until 3:40, was then brought into a room and told doc would be right in, another 30 minutes proceeded to go by. Doctor was not the friendliest to talk to, just not a doctors office I think anyone should go to. They didn't apologize once for the hour and a half lateness. Will not be returning. They need to take some leadership/organizational courses and improve customer service. If you read past reviews, others have said this is an all day event as well with similar complaints. I was referred to Dr Kampsen by another patient. Apparently, he's great with kids but not for adults, I highly don't recommend him. Actually, I will NEVER go back to him. I've had ear problems since I was a child and he recommended I get an ear tube put in. It would be an in - office procedure. The Worst pain I have ever felt. He didn't even wait for the anesthesia to take effect before he started cutting inside my ear. And I felt everything and heard the cutting. It was so painful, it still brings tears to my eyes. I kept mentioning that it hurt and he should either wait till anesthesia take effect or give me more. To add salt to the wound, he told me to stop acting like a child. And that he gets kids that don't complain about pain like I did. Really!!!! Seriously!!! I didn't even return for my follow-up. I don't care how great he is for kids, I would not bring my son here if he needs an ENT. The worst bedside manner. If there was one person who I would cut and put on a pole it would be him. Went in for completely unrelated issue -- with no notice, whatsoever, mind you. This was the only office in Tampa that would let me in like that while the first clinician I saw called all over. The mysterious golf ball sized cyst-thing ended up being nothing to worry about (they prescribed antibiotics or something and it went away), P.A. Trent Savage looked inside my nose and was the first healthcare worker in my life to ask me questions about how jacked up it was--I've never been able to really breathe or sleep. I can't thank him enough because after a couple scans, it ended up being even worse than he could see but it was finally fixed after surgery. Savage was there when I woke up and talked to me for a while which was very cool and comforting (Kampsen just walked by without a word). Every staff member, all the front desk personnel, and P.A. Trent Savage are all fantastic. All of them, especially Savage and Tara Wilkinson, were always pleasant and patiently took as much time as needed to work with me, on my behalf and/or explain things. I wish I could remember more fo their names--they deserve credit. Easy, free parking. Clean, nice environment. All of that and the results of the surgery (I can really breathe--and sleep--for the first time in my life) made putting up with Kampsen himself over several visits more than worth it. read more

I went to this practice for a growth in my throat, it ended up being an infected saliva gland, nothing serious but it freaked me out. Kampsen's associate was able to see me immediately, diagnose me, and give me antibiotics/an anti fungal. The medicine worked magic. The front desk people were extremely kind, and the man that I saw was funny and very personable. I would highly recommend this practice. read more

It was my first time there for some vertigo/dizziness issues. Like any first-time visit to a doctors office there's plenty of paperwork to fill out. Everybody was kind considerate and very professional. I saw four different doctors (or assistant) they gave me the once over even for things I was not there for (my nose and my throat.) Dr. Kampsen has the worst bedside manners and lack of compassion that I have ever experienced from a doctor. He does not care that he is hurting you, he just wants to get the procedure done. He has done two in-office procedures to me that hurt so bad he had me in tears. He continued to plow through the procedure even though the nurse tried to discreetly tell him to back off. He didn't. He also performed a septoplasty at the hospital to fix my deviated septum. I did not see him either before or after the surgery. He never once checked on me. I certainly would not bring children to see him. Find someone with more compassion. read more

Last Friday I requested his office to work me in as I was experiencing a great deal of pain from a tube being placed in my ear. He is also treating me for a deviated septum operation which is set up for the end of the month. Because I cannot sleep at night, I dozed off in the office so I went outside to have a cig but did not have any. I went back back upstairs and continued to wait in the office. I was on the phone outside the office when I was approached by a lady in the hallway, Tina, who stated that I needed to leave immediately because I was nodding off in the waiting room. She informed that this was something that is not allowed in her waiting room even though other people were sleeping also. She told me that I needed to seek pain management, but I was not there for that reason. The only thing I needed from this office on this day was to be seen for my painful ear condition. I cannot sleep because of my deviated septum condition that is to be operated on the end of this month by this doctor. Why would someone ask me to leave because I was nodding off when the reason I am with this doctor is to fix this problem so that I can sleep. I never saw Dr. Kampsen but was told by Tina that he agreed with her. I feel that this was totally unprofessional of this office manager as I was not allowed to speak with Dr. Kampsen. I do not recommend this Doctor when he can just dismiss patients from his care without speaking to them in person concerning a issue in his waiting room. read more
