Indiana University Southeast is basically my second home. I lived on campus for two years and for…read morethe rest of my college career (three more years), I commuted from Louisville to New Albany. Let me be frank: I love this university. It is affordable, the classes are small, the professors are great (for the most part), the campus is beautiful, and the cafeteria has great food (that's very important- students need good quality food in order to fuel their school day!).
There are around five buildings total, which makes it easy to get from one class to another. The campus is a little hilly, so make sure you bring your walking shoes! You may get a little winded. The University Center has everything your heart could desire on a college campus: a cafeteria, a police station, a radio room, student government offices, a game room, a bookstore, a coffee shop, conference rooms, computer labs with aids to help you, a financial aid office, and much, much more! If you have a question about IUS, there is most likely an office you can go to to get it answered.
During my five years here, I had amazing professors. I maybe had one or two that were subpar. Among my favorites were Dr. Jean Abshire, Dr. Cliff Staten, Professor Yoko Martin, and an adjunct Geology professor whose name currently escapes me. He was great and I can't believe I forgot his name, but I thoroughly enjoyed his class.
If you are considering going here, I would encourage you to do so. It is an amazing school with great professors and a great campus. It is also extremely affordable. The housing is also VERY nice, but not very affordable. I would recommend commuting if you can. In conclusion, if I could go back to school, I would go back to IUS in a heartbeat!
