My stepfather does all of his banking there. They know you by name. Each time I take him in to do his banking they are so nice, courteous and considerate. Because of how well they treat you, I opened a safety deposit box and will look into other services as well. What a breath of fresh air after dealing with the passing of my mother. My stepfather has nothing but great experiences with them. And always ask how the family is doing.

I received a check in the mail from West America bank and wanted to cash it there but I was denied that. Even after showing her proper ID (my drivers license) she said I needed 2 forms of ID & when I showed her my SS Card she denied that and said it needed to have a picture on it.. so then I referred back to my drivers license & was still denied being able to cash my check. It just doesn't make sense why you would need to see to picture ID's to cash a check. It's ridiculous coming into this bank on 2 separate times and not getting the basic service I need. I'll be traveling to the Visalia location from now on. Do better!!

Lisa loves her coffee and can juggle an impressive number of balls, without losing focus on any one, at a time. The bank itself is pretty fancy, spacious and upscale, but it's the people who make it what it is. My folks have banked at Fresno First Bank and are known by name. Try that at another bank! I even got a little passbook where I can see how my balance is growing! Lisa takes care of my deposits when I stop in and is super nice. They are in the middle of a remodel right now, I can't wait to see their main building when it's all finished. Oh, I forgot to mention, they pay higher interest than the other banks in town, awesome sauce! They do loans, too, with one of their specialties being mobile homes. Then, all of a sudden, a new person took over my account, said the last loan officer used 'incorrect criteria' and asked for more information, only to tell me less than 10 days before escrow was to close, that even though I had hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank, a FICO of 785 and literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in yearly stock sales, every year over the past three years, that I didn't have enough W-2, or schedule C income to qualify for a measly 100k loan (I guess they wanted me to go to work at Walmart for a while). If I didn't have the cash to close, I would have lost the home I wanted, because of the late advisement. Then I asked the loan officer (GARY) to send back my 1040s, because I was going to be under the gun for time to get a new loan, and asked if he wanted MY Fed/Ex number to send it. He said no and then mailed it by PONY EXPRESS (the post office). Absolutely pathetic bank and my "new loan officer" Gary, should definitely get a new career. THE WORST. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TRY THE OTHERS FIRST. Glad they passed. The rate from even a larger bank, like BMO, was way cheaper. Check their rates against bigger banks because they aren't doing anyone any favors.
