My Experience with ERES for Evaluating My Guatemalan Teaching Credential I sent my Guatemalan Maestra en Educación Preprimaria credential and transcripts to ERES for a course-by-course evaluation so I could apply for a California Child Development Permit. The evaluation came back showing my credential as only equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma, with zero Early Childhood Education (ECE) semester units recognized. This means none of my specialized teacher training counted toward the California requirement. I contacted ERES twice for clarification, but both times the only option given was to pay for a re-evaluation. No detailed explanation was provided for why my post-secondary teacher training was not recognized. This experience has been disappointing and costly, and it has affected my ability to continue in a job I enjoy. If you have similar credentials from Guatemala or a comparable education system, I would avoid using ERES unless you confirm in writing beforehand that your program will be recognized for ECE credit. My wife was ill and applying for a position with a deadline for submission close of business Tuesday after a long weekend . She needed her evaluation ASAP. I left San Jose at around 2pm, arrived at 3:30pm and expected we would have to wait until Tuesday which would have been tight. I explained the situation and they were willing to complete it same day even after closing. We couldn't be note satisfied and I'm grateful for their understanding. It was a very bad decision to get my evaluation done at ERES! I spent USD520 to get my certificates evaluated which included extra charges of quick processing, I chose to pay extra for quick processing which was required for my job application. After 7 workings I get my results and the evaluation were not done correctly. Very same day I lodged my complain and was told that the evaluator will get back to me. It's been 12 working days now, no one has responded to me. After me sending another email and asking ERES to refund my $520, now the evaluator replying back saying sorry and my evaluation is now available. This is totally unacceptable!!!! I am facing the damage now as I couldn't get my evaluations sent for my job application and yesterday, I got email from employer that I wasn't selected due to my evaluations. Apparently "expedited" means AT LEAST having a 12 week turnaround time. No one answers phone calls. It takes literal days to get a response through email. Do all you can to avoid them. read more

This is the type of company you will not like to do business with. They are interested in your money and once you paid them you are done. No answer to phone call and if they eventually pick the phone or answer email, their response is quite different from your question. On there website, they claim that you can order copy of your evaluation which is a lie. I did evaluation with them for nursing licensing. But each time I request for copy the company ask me to pay $300 and $20 for postage which is different from what is on the website. If you want real evaluation and need your file kept and protected, use CGFNS. read more

If you're wanting to work with a company who never answers calls, never responds to multiple emails, and genuinely doesn't value you as a potential customer, then ERES is the company for you. After multiple unanswered calls and emails to Marixa (the lady who responded to my initial email), I finally gave up and decided to use CGFNS instead. Of all the emails I sent (a total of 6), I only received 3 replies and neither answered or acknowledged the simple questions I had around their services and fees. My last 2 emails were never answered period so I was forced to contact another service who actually wanted my business. I could never recommend ERES... and if you're reading this thinking about using them, I recommend you check out CGFNS instead. read more

I agree with everyone else. This company does not do their job for sure. I had my original transcript in the past. It was a great service at that time due to the amount of money that I paid for the rush. However, I recently had to order my transcript again and my original copy from them said they can create authorized copies of the original up to 5 years. I ordered the copy, by assuming the order should be completed within a few minutes. A month later from the time that I ordered, they claimed that thay have to redo it that will take 5 weeks. I patiently wait for the 5 weeks, but they did not get it done anything after 6 weeks. I paid a lot of money to be able to get it done on time, but nothing so far. They are totally stealing money from the customers who have to get their transcript. Worst company I have ever seen. I got my education evaluated with ERES for CPA. Firstly, it took more than 4-5 weeks and I paid over 100$ more for expedited service.. My evaluator was incompetent girl who didn't even know what country is the diploma from until she was in the middle of the evaluation and asked mi the question.. Secondly, they mislead me saying that part of my education will be recognized for CPA, and that was the main reason I did my evaluation with them and paid like $600 extra for it, and at the end it wasn't. So their evaluation ended up being a $600 useless piece of paper. I will never get my money or my time that I waited back. Big mistake, don't recommend them at all. read more

Worst company ever. I got my high school diploma evaluated by them and at the end of the day it didn't work for me . The service I paid for which was over 500 dollars wasn't what I thought and it was rejected when applying for jobs so I requested my money back and of course all they said was that it wasn't happening . I have had a great recent experience with ERES, especially with the Russian Department and personally with Serhii Kalynovs'kyi who was in charge of my case! They always replied to my emails right away, answered all of my questions, and maintained an excellent communication during the entire process. My Diploma was well taken care of, and the evaluation was done professionally and faster than expected. They also offered me a nice feature of pre-evaluation, and they allow their customers to review the order prior to its completion. It was nice to have this company as my evaluators! I had a very very bad experience. Although I got the work done eventually, I had to delay my school application for another semester because of them. They say the verification takes 4-5 weeks, but for me it took more than 7 weeks, and when I contacted them they didn't reply at first that I had to send another email until they responded "it will be ready soon". An employee named Arami made my whole process such a nightmare. I still have all our interactions through email. Whenever I had a question (since their application form is not clear) his answers would be off the point and not helpful. His tone was rude and unprofessional as well. They take so long to respond and when they do it's not genuine and of the point, and definitely not helpful. All in all, it was an expensive and a very bad experience. read more

Finally! They got the job done after a few emails I have sent to them. But the amount of time it took is comparable to waiting for the next season of The Walking Dead. The processing time in their website says it's 5-8 weeks, but guess what, mine took 9 to almost 10 weeks. Seems like I got one bonus week free. And also, when it comes to collecting extra fees, they have a very swift customer service, but funny, when you send in your paperworks, they never even send you a note that this and that and XYZ have all been received. You have to proactively bug them all the time for follow ups. And have you tried ringing their hotlines? You would even get a better chance of reaching Barrack Obama through the phone than one of their customer service agents. There's even a disclaimer on the voicemail that you can try calling again and "maybe" you'll get a hold of someone. All I can say is, PTL my evaluation is all done! read more

Rude service and been told to call after four weeks to remind them to evaluate my certificate and ive been calling everyday for two weeks now, nobody picks up the phone and when i finally went during office hours nobody was there! Such a long story. I had to talked to 3 different people and they're all very bad with communications. Hello guys, just done speaking to a representative of this agency named Errani. This conversations (if you want to call it that) was the most unprofessional conversation I've ever had with any agency. I am a recent graduate of a University in Puerto Rico (Universidad Adventista de las Antillas) and I was looking to get my credits evaluated in order to take my NCLEX to be a RN in Illinois. First of all throughout the conversation she kept on yelling at me and telling me that I don't understand how things work, I tried to explain to her what the board of Illinois had told me but she kept on interrupting me, and referring to Puerto Rico as "your country" last I remember Puerto Rico is property of the United States, second I'm not even Puerto Rican. I can't believe the amount of un-professionalism. I got zero information about evaluation process with some yelling. I have two siblings graduating soon and I for sure will not be using their services, so they lost 3 potential clients. Good job ! I would not recommend anybody to use their services. read more

worst place ever. total chaos, they make you pay for service they do not provide, and unbelievably rude. I wish i read Yelp reviews before I used this place. I paid $85 extra to get my papers evaluated in 10 days. on day 14th, they called to tell me that i need to pay $50 more for (out of country translation) which i had paid already. when I told them that, they said " mmmm, ya i can see it now in your file" ok now i was supposed to get my papaers today, they said tomorrow afternoon. following day at 1:47pm(afternoon right) i called and they transferred me to a person called Paul, who said he doesn't know when, but said that I should know more????? when i asked for someone who know he hang up the phone. I called again hoping that someone else would answer and give me some Info. but they transferred me to the same person who dosen't know when can i get my papers in spite of the fact that they are past due. add to that, he started shouting at me, lecturing me about customer service( i thought i'm the customer) and he hanged up the phone on me again. when i called back they put me on hold for several minute, then no one would pick up. called again same thing. then this RUDE, IGNORANT, AND VERY ARROGANT PAUL who claims he is the director, called me back to lecture me again about customer service. worst place ever. it is a waste of time and money. it is a chaos, no one knows anything, and when you ask for someone who knows, they transfer you to "Paul". if this ignorant rude person is the director, no wonder no one knows anything in this place. read more
