They have lots of fresh local produce, cheeses, jams, bakery items from local bakeries such as le croissant and l'epi de ble. The fresh baguettes ($2.49) remind me of Paris! And the cinnamon buns (package 6 for $5.49) are perfect - fluffy, moist cinnamon buns (no raisins) and just enough icing (I don't like it overloaded with icing). The recent in season strawberries were delicious $18.99 for a basket or $6.99 for a quart, quart BC cherries $6. The bouquets of flowers are gorgeous and same goes for their small garden/nursery area. Staff are bilingual and really this place reminds me of a much smaller version of Montreal's Jean Talon market. Service is really nice. There's a frequent buyer card where you get a stamp for each $20 purchase. After collecting 15 stamps you can a discount - either $10 or $15 off.

This year it was in awful shape leaves on on branch and on the bottom trunk. Emailed and called St Mary's if they find one would have to pay $20.00 more plus tax. Informed later no tree available. St Mary's Warranty: Credit, redeem credit, no cash value,for purchase trees or shrubs, no guarantee on plants purchased with credit. Came there for one reason and one reason only after going to 6 nurseries looking for Mount Royal Plum Tree. I am out $75.00 and feel like I have been robbed. This is not a warranty. I have had many warranties in my life. This is a clever way of hanging onto a customers funds and then telling him he has to use it on something other than what was warrantied. I chose this model specifically because I understood cypress to be naturally rot- and mold-resistant. When I asked staff before purchasing, I was told the wood did not need to be sealed or stained and would simply grey naturally over time -- which I was fine with. What I wasn't expecting was such rapid mold growth. When I contacted customer service, they agreed this should not have happened, apologized, and offered a refund -- which I appreciate. However, I'm still disappointed, as this leaves me with the inconvenience of either dismantling and returning the table to buy another one, or spending time cleaning, sanding, and treating it myself to make it usable. Given the severity of the mold, I now question whether this is truly made of cypress heartwood, or if a softer/less durable wood such as pine or poplar was used instead. Overall, I'm frustrated by the poor material quality and lack of durability.

They started as the best woodworking tool store out there and their planes set a new standard in the field. But in the last 5 years they have moved into gardening and more.
