I ordered take out yesterday and it was absolutely delicious! I'm going to order again today. I had the chicken tacos combo with beans and Mexican rice and an order of fried yucca. Absolutely scrumptious!

It's a hell of a Taco Bodega. The store itself has a lot of good stuff from Mexico, especially snacks and hot sauces. They sell beer but you cannot consume it on premises which is somewhat of a bummer, really wanted a negro modelo with my tacos. Oh well. Es la vida. La Florida. Really liked the seasoning on the tacos de bistec and the carne adobada. The carnitas were a bit too fatty to my liking, needed crisping up a bit. Nice papaya liquido/batido and excellent cafe con leche made with Bustelo on a real espresso machine.

Salsa found two pieces of food in it!

Came to Ed's finally after 1 yr 1/2. And wow it has changed. Not talking about whats in the store but their food. My Brother, Dad and I had the same thing. It was a chorizo and egg burrito. And it was NASTY! Yes u heard right plain flavorless no passion for flavor at all! The beans where cold and chorizo and eggs where tasteless. What has happened to my favorite place. Sad very Sad. Hope they can fix problem. I will be back to review them again. By the way on the picture of the salsa I found two small pieces. Of food. Are they recycling the salsa from the table? Just wondering!

You must try the empanadas at the Ed's on Lake Worth, just west of Jog! They are amazing. Can't wait to try everything they make.

It didn't look like much, but it was clean, friendly and the food was great. I would definitely return.

The interior decor may have changed but my opinion of this place hasn't. The decor is tex-mex cute and colorful. The service was friendly but absolutely clueless. The food was reasonably priced for portion size but the quality was really low. We enjoyed the complimentary basket of fried flour tortilla chips and the salsa was basic but okay. The Carne Asada Nacho platter was disappointing in the ingredients. It was supposed to have guacamole on it but it was more of an avocado cream and very liquidy. The asada meat was seasoned well but it was chewy in a bad way. The chicken burrito was heavy but full of too much rice and it was lacking seasoning. The Tamale Platter was nice and freshly made. The rice and beans on the side was not housemade but from a can. I think the new owners are trying to cut too many corners and will not get repeat customers. There was just nothing special about anything at this place and even their only hot sauce that can be added for some heat to the meal is a watered down green tomatillo mild sauce or a red pepper mild sauce which both are served in a cold squirt bottle unless you pay almost $2 for a small roasted jalapeño. I will pass on a return visit and look for new authentic Mexican fare.

We ordered a few cocktails, the El Segundo Classico, a classic margarita, and the Oaxaca Peach Old Fashioned made of blanco tequila and a bit of mezcal, very refreshing to start off with. Our servers recommended a few different menu items. The Pimento Cheese Elote Dip small plate was delicious. We then moved on to the tacos - the Brisket Burnt Ends, the Chicharron Ceviche, and the Cali Fish (my favorite). The Cali Fish was nicely fried and just a bit of heat and slightly sweet slaw. Also tried the Birria Tacos and the Burrito, both great. We loved sitting outside in front of the restaurant. There are few artist studios across the parking lot. I thought El Segundo was a solid 4.5/5.

El Segundo has ample indoor and outdoor seating. Though slammed, I sat at the bar and met Connor. His beer "is so cold, your teeth will hurt." That statement is a sign on Isla Majure. The menu is awesome. Prices are great. It was tough to finish my blackened chicken burrito! Deliciosa!!! But what makes this place vibe is the young staff. They rock! And they got each other's 6. I witnessed this as Sam was pouring one of their famous margaritas. As she was close to empty with her container, Connor does a stealthy maneuver and slips in another container for her. Sam did not miss a beat because of Connor. Everyone and I mean everyone connects. It is worth your time. Enjoy the local art too.
