I had been to Ed's in quite a while and I stopped there just for a few cookies and things. there was only one other customer in the store and I wasn't even greeted but just ignored. Finally, a young gentleman came from the back to see what I wanted, but he was so unfriendly and scowled the whole time. I don't know if they don't appreciate customers or don't want my business, but I have never felt so unwelcome I will not be returning. The cookies were ok, but nothing special. This makes me sad because when my boys were young, we used to come there for treats on occasion, and I loved their gingerbread. read more

I ordered custom cookies for a military retirement party. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo before they were all eaten, but they were decorated in a patriotic theme...red, white & blue stars, US flag, USAF, etc. They were beautiful and tasted AMAZING!! I haven't had Ed's in years- and I was really hoping for some awesome Smiley Face cookies. They were not great. I was expecting them to be soft and chewy and they were hard and crumbly. I'm not sure if it's new management or they were a day old, but I was disappointed. The chocolate chip cookies were okay, they were bigger which made them drier. The staff is very polite and helpful. The doughnuts and cookies are always fresh and taste great! They made a recreation of my wedding cake for my 10 year anniversary and my husband and I loved it!!!! If you live in Conway area I recommend that you stop by and have a doughnut. read more

I grew up in Conway, and there are about 5 places I have to go when I visit from California...Ed's is top on the list, for a smiley face cookie. They are by far the best in town. Don't know what happened to Ed's Bakery but they have gone down hill big time. Just stopped in this morning and got brownies and smiley face cookies. Brownie was so stale I could not push a fork into it. Put it in microwave to warm and then I could take a bite if I held it in my hand. Taste was mediocre. Smiley face cookies (which were always my favorite) had no taste at all. No taste at all. There are too many bakeries in Conway for this poor quality. Won't be back. read more

Love the smiley face cookies!! To me, they are worth a trip from Little Rock. Best iced cookies around (better and cheaper than community bakery in LR). They make different themed cookies for every holiday & occasion. Also have other good cookies and donuts. read more

Update! So I guess they have new management, because last time the place was clean and everyone wore gloves and I went this time and people had their hair in their face and they weren't using gloves to handle the cookies so I will not be back until it is sanitary. read more

Ed's bakery.... Hmmm what should i say? I just....Im simply in tears. Im visiting my family here in conway AK. We decided to order two cakes from the bakery for my twin nephew and niece We thought we order Instead of buying a box cake from the local grocery store. I had placed the order on Monday and told the bakery to have it order by Saturday. I was told my bill for both cakes was around $45.00. Anyways on Saturday I picked up the cakes my bill was almost $57.00. I was confused the lady at the counter said it was tax. The bakery did not meet our expectations. The cakes were horrible. The taste was just nasty and disgusting. No one ate the cakes. The twins were disappointed and sad. The cakes were worse then the groceries store cakes or boxed cakes. We regret spending so much money for nothing. I should've packed the cakes back in the boxes and waited for Monday to take back and thrown right at their face. Im so angry ando surprised to see such people in business. I will call in fact i will personally visit them and express what they've done. I am expecting my refund and a huge apology. I will continue to put my review after I speak to them on Monday. The owner was very rude and she was not willing to hear my complain. The owner hung up the phone on me few times as I was complaining. I couldn't believe that I was actually facing such a horrible experience with the people in Conway, AR. read more
