We were looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a three day, two night stay in Edinburgh. Our first trip, so location was important to us - and the hotel was well placed, with the castle, royal mile, princess st being a short walk away.
Parking was unfortunately in a public underground garage - 20% discount for the hotel, but it was just at the end of the street.
Room 304 was a good size for two people, but unless you were against the inside wall, wifi didn't work. We had no problems with wind noise, as reported by another reviewer.
Staff were friendly, but the hotel bar didn't have much selection. We felt breakfast was expensive, and were appreciative we could leave it off our bill and go elsewhere.
All in all though, the price was good, the location was good, and we'd stay here again. read more
