Okay, this course was amazing. So picturesque. I know understand why the Pro-Am celebrity golf tournament is held there. The greens, SSSSOOOOO Toughhhhh!!!!. Played this weekend, and I would say they are as comparable to Pebble Beach. In that they make you feel welcome, and put a lot of work in making the course PGA ready. There are a lot of sand traps, oh ya, there are at least 2 holes where a well mature pine tree sits in the middle of the fairway. You will most definitely use every club in your bag. Edgewood is a personal favorite of mine! Home of the celebrity golf tournaments and any lavish event you'd like to book. I attended my girlfriends beautiful wedding here. Everything was breathtaking and the weather was perfect, no rainy clouds in sight just everyone's tears from the ceremony. It was a beautiful day and couldn't be a better time to share the love of two awesome people. Their wedding flowed seamlessly into dinner and wining and dining. Thank you to your staff for keeping up the schedule. This venue is immaculate. The restrooms were impressive and the staff did their thing. It was a blast to be shared with my girlfriends; One last time before everyone got married and had kids. This memory will be a happy one for a long long time. Came to Edgewood to stay and play the course and was blown away. Everything was so well maintained from the greens to the clubhouse. The course has stunning views of both the mountains and Lake Tahoe so you really are getting the best of everything. Greene fees aren't cheap, but it's not a course you play every week (played twice this visit). Absolutely beautiful sitting overlooking the golf course and Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch with portions large enough to split. Prices were reasonable, especially when you consider the atmosphere on the terrace. Certainly a place to return to on our next visit to Lake Tahoe! read more

This was one of our favorite things we did in Tahoe! Although it is expensive, probably the most expensive in the area, the course is very well maintained, the views are beautiful, the staff was nice, and the amenities were great! They have carts coming around with food and drink for purchase which is a really nice convince. They have a menu and phone number available at the 9th hole for you to order and pick up between holes. They have complimentary valet parking and bag service. They also offer free balls for the driving range before your round. The only disappointment was that my fiance and I booked a tee time and were planning to play as a twosome. At the first hole, the course marshal assigned a single player to tee off and play with us, without even asking us. I suffer from severe anxiety while playing in front of other people, so my experience was greatly shorted by this. We paid a lot of money for this round of golf and to not even be asked if adding an additional player was okay with us, was rude and inconsiderate in my opinion. read more

I had seen this golf course on TV since the celebrities and sports stars had just been here. But I must say TV and pictures do not do it justice. This golf course is spectacular! The tee boxes were pristine, the fairways were like carpet and the greens rolled true. The views from almost every hole paint a picturesque postcard for a golfer. From beautiful tree lined faiways, to beautiful soft white sand bunkers to ocean in the background behind the greens. This course is gorgeous to both look at and play. Since I was here on my honeymoon I could only play 1 round but even the rental clubs were top notch Titleist gear. Thanks to my darling wife Jen who accommodated my golf love. This one was for the bucket list since you do not get to play many courses of this caliber. If I do come back in the summer I will play it again. read more

From the moment we arrived, this course was absolutely stunning. Upon arriving, valet was required but was complimentary and convenient. They will take your clubs to the driving range for you, and range balls are included in your price, so arrive early! The pro shop was filled with exceptional options, and the staff was very friendly. The course was on time, and plays at a 4.5 hour pace or faster. The views were unlike any other course I've played on every hole--mesmerizing! The course was in excellent shape as well! Be forewarned, the greens are fast but perfect. Yes, the course is expensive to play, it was $325 per person, but DO IT! It was well worth every penny! read more

The golf was great- it's the harassment and constant ignorance of the staff that renders this review. Safety and health is not their priority. 1st off don't plan to park your own car, there's no self-parking...you'd think your safety would be their top priority but a valet rep, jumping in and out of cars, not cleaning into between vehicles is a great way to spread Covid- when asked where I could park my own car I was told 1/4 mile away was the nearest area. Walking into an elegant foyer into pro shop is an experience in its own, but yet again staff was unhelpful. I approached the counter and given a blank stare as if I was in the wrong place, I expressed that I had tee time and needed rental clubs. I asked for a stiff set of woods, with regular shafted irons. They would NOT provide, that all clubs had to same flex amount, and was told it's one or the other. So you can say had to slow my swing down off the tee, ever tried to fix a swing in the middle of play? Not fun! 10:20 rolled around and we were off. The day started out great but after 3 holes we were harassed by the Marshall to pick up our pace, understanding the group in front of us just approached the 4th green and we were walking off the 3rd. This continued for the next 4-6 holes on a every other basis. I want to point out that on hole 7 we couldn't tee off as we were waiting for the group ahead to finish their second shots. However hole 9 the Marshall came around again, but when approaching 10, the group ahead was walking off the tee! We were taking a picture on the final tee to wrap up the day, understanding we had all tee'd off and the group in front was walking off the green, but here came the marshal with 2 more shot left in our round, and the harassment again. Again, again consistent harassment- I will note we finished in 4 hours and 15-25 minutes which is under pace for a resort course especially one that send singles off between foursomes. Im not done here, after wrapping up the round we went into the pro shop and looked at purchasing merchandise. I had selected a couple hats, and approached to check out. When I set the hats on the counter I got a blank stare yet again, nothing...not a "are you all set?, or ready to check out?" I had to say "excuse me I'm ready to check out." When you pay 300 to play golf, you'd think you'd be treated with more respect, and service would be nothing but top notch. The staff is not humble and act like their better than their customers. read more

Paid $150 to finally play here on Monday( for my birthday). Course in pretty bad condition with badly punched and dried out fairways which they failed to mention. Also, greens have been replaced but still in no condition to putt on, and bunkers filled with water. Oh and might as well add in dented cups because why not give full disclosure Just look at the pictures I took. Hospitality was good and views were nice. Amazing golf course w great staff. Would like to give a big shoutout to Drew and Cody in the golf shop. I had left a club behind during my round last week. With their help we were able to track down the club and ID it. Due to the fact that I live 3 hours away, the club needed to be shipped. Cody and Drew were unbelievably helpful during the process and I got word that my club is en route. I have walked Edgewood before as a patron for the Celebrity Golf Classic so playing the course has been on my bucket list for a while. I finally got the chance to play this past weekend and it was unreal. Perfect weather, great course condition and the views are indescribable. Greens fees are a bit pricey but you are paying for what you get-- access to the only lakeside course and it is so worth it. read more

I came here for the celebrity golf tournament, first time experience and boy were we blown away. the simplicity alone was what stood out. Such a breeze to get in, no line and security was smooth. Grabbing will call tickets was easy and guides were available at your fingertips upon entry. It is such a beautiful course, I know my husband would love to play here in the near future (I don't golf). The Corona tents were set up nicely. Security was nice and tight but also loose enough to let the celebrities who want to interact with the public do so. Food was a bit of an issue as not many options even nearby. We'll check it out again next year and I highly recommend you guys do too. read more

I have had this course bookmarked on my bucket list for years and finally took the plunge a few weeks back. The course was in immaculate condition. There was a little "dust" on the course as the are redoing the clubhouse but all in all one of the finest days of golf I have had. Playing 7529 from the tips might seem like a lot but remember you are at altitude and your drives are going a lot farther. Everywhere you turn you get stunning scenery. From the beautiful snow capped mountains to Lake Tahoe, my phone was working overtime. Every hole on the course was my favorite and the finishing holes along the Lake are just gorgeous but if I had to choose I would say that 10th is my favorite. Playing 474 yards with a course lake on the left and trees on your right you need to hit a solid drive. I went a little left and my option was to go right with my second and play it safe or go over the water and try and make the green in two. I did not make it. Oh well, what a great course!!! read more

One of the best courses I've ever played. Aside from the beauty and perfect conditions, the course plays fair. If you hit a good shot, you're rewarded. Hit a solid shot into the green, it holds. My family and I have been coming to Lake Tahoe for 20 years and have played Edgewood at least a dozen times and we have never been treated with such disrespect. We had afternoon tee times and decided to go early for a snack before our tee time at Brooks' Bar. We walked in there to ask for a table and were immediately shot down. There was a total of three tables occupied out of fifty, but they insisted that they had reservations for every table in the restaurant. After trying to reason with the hostess and the manager they the told us to go to the snack bar. After stating that I did not want to eat at the snack shack, the manager then turned us to the restaurant inside the hotel. But what is the point of having a restaurant at the golf course if it is not for the for the golfers? We then went to the pro shop and then tested our luck again at Brooks' Bar because there was even less people there, "Completely Booked" they said. My family spent over $3,000 dollars at Edgewood to have an enjoyable and pleasant afternoon of golf an were met with people who self declared we were beneath them. All we really wanted was a couple appetizers. Is that to much to ask for? Maybe service is reflective of the hotel opening because never have I experienced Edgewood in this manner. Or maybe COVID has gotten the best of Edgewood. All I know is that my family's time at Edgewood might have come to a close and it might be time to look at other golf courses in the area. read more

Love, love, love this beautiful golf course!!!!!! I'm so lucky I live so close and had the privilege of playing this course shared by celebrities at times ... Especially in the fall on an absolutely perfect weather day with good friends, (we had a large group of 16 golfers) blue skies, a blue lake and warm green grass. Concierge club pick up service at my car was a really nice touch. The girl picked up all of our clubs and drove off with them to set them up by our carts. We only needed to take ourselves into the clubhouse, grab a bite and drink and check in. loved the service. The course was in absolutely beautiful condition, it was the day after a solid rain storm. The call in lunch feature for the snack bar just before hole 9 was convenient, the digital displays in the cart were lifesavers at times and the drink cart throughout play was much appreciated. We ate dinner at the clubhouse as a group after. Great service and food continued and I even got to shop the end of season great deals in the pro shop. read more

My fiancé and I were in Lake Tahoe to get married on May 21st. We set a tee time for the 20th at 11:30 AM and had been watching the weather forecast as there was a possibly of snow. We decided to just grin and bear it and go golf no matter what the weather was like as we were really looking forward to playing Edgewood. When we arrived it was 38 degrees but that still did not stop us! Checking in was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We grabbed a Bloody Mary from the bar and headed out. It started out cold with mix of clouds and blue sky. As we went along, it started to get windy and then started to snow a bit. As we kept playing the snow started falling more and more but nothing we couldn't handle. By the time we got to hole nine we looked at each other like we could just give up now. Snowing with the wind coming off the lake sent chills through both of us. We grabbed some lunch and I went to the Clubhouse to see if they had hand warmers. The person I asked looked for ten minutes and low and behold he found some. I asked how much do they cost and he told me you can just have them. Woohoo, the hand warmers saved the day. We both put one in each pocket and would warm our hands between strokes. As we continued to golf, the wind was blowing like mad and snow would fall pretty heavy at times. By the 18th, we couldn't wait to be done! Even with the cold, the wind and the snow we had an amazing day! I would highly recommend Edgewood as everyone we crossed paths with, who worked there, were out standing. Overall, the course was in great shape for just opening up after the winter. The snack bar had great food and the beer stayed very cold. We will definitely be back next year for our anniversary! P.S. Yep, it snowed during our outdoor wedding too.....good times! read more

Wish I could give this at least a 4, however, the way we were treated after our round was just silly. I will start by saying that the course is extremely beautiful and very enjoyable. Well maintained and for the price charged, it should be all of those. After the round, however, we (10 of us) were looking to have a beverage afterwards on the patio. I have never known a golf course not to have space for golfers afterwards, but Edgewood told us they were all booked up. All reservations were going to hit with in the hour. We just wanted to enjoy our crew and chill on the patio and they wouldnt accommodate. Great golf course, bar and grill, not so much. Spend 3k on the course but cant get a drink afterwards. What a disappointment. After reading wonderful things about this place, I saved up to take my boyfriend here to golf for his birthday. We came all the way from Portland just to play this course. After we tee off the 1st hole, the music from the HUGE rave going on across the street starts up. The rave that nobody at Edgewood told me about when I booked our tee time. There's no way they didn't know about it in advance because the cart girl told us, when we FINALLY saw her for the first time on the 16th hole, that it's like that every Saturday. There is absolutely no excuse for not notifying their players in advance that there is NO WAY they'd be able to focus on their game with the loud techno music echoing through the course, the obnoxious MC swearing, using racial slurs & hollering during your backswing ... not to mention the strays from the rave running through the course screaming. But of course they didn't notify their players prior to booking because they knew if they had, NOBODY would've booked that day. And at $240 a round and 250 players for the day, they'd lose out on at least $60,000 for the day not counting the hundreds of dollars, per person, spent on food and drinks. And of course money is more important to them than happy golfers. I understand that there is nothing they can do about the music but I do feel they have the responsibility to notify their players so we could make an educated decision before golfing there. The business practices of this establishment are extremely unethical and I will never ever return. I wonder if they informed the bride and groom of the wedding that was going on there about the rave... doubt it. I'm sure they were thrilled about it as well. Today we played a beautiful, peaceful course in Squaw Valley and had 10,000x better experience for 60% less money. So the trip wasn't a complete waste thanks to that. read more

I regret wasting my money playing here. For $150 a round I expect better course management than a 5 and 1/2 hour round of golf. There was a golf marshal on the course, but he was more interested in telling us where were allowed to park our carts than in speeding play. (For the record, I had parked my cart just off the path to allow other carts and groundskeepers to pass while we putted out on a par 3, and got a rebuke from the marshal). On two separate occasions, I saw the marshal drive past groups who were fishing balls out of ponds with ball retrievers, without a word to them about moving along and keeping pace. The course itself had several low points. Most importantly, almost all the greens were completely covered in pine needles, with no effort by the staff to clean them up. There were literally dozens of groundskeeping personnel on the course with backpack blowers, but nobody was attempting to clear the the greens, which is the only place it really matters for golfers. The range balls were garbage, many of them badly worn, which you expect at a local muni track, but not for a premier golf club charging exorbitant fees. Lastly, the layout was dull and unimaginative. As for positives, the bunker sand was in good condition, but that's literally the only compliment I can pay to this course. If you want better conditions, better practice facilities and a better course with similarly gorgeous views, I recommend Grizzly Ranch golf club, for about half the price. If you must play in Tahoe, both Northstar and the Resort at Squaw Creek are better deals. read more

Finally got to play at this course and I liked it, but not as much as I was led to believe. Some of the reviews that I've read say that it's as good as Pebble? Uhh...no. The course is nice, don't get me wrong. When we got there, we were greeted in the parking lot by the attendants and they brought our bags to the range. Nice. Real grass range with comp balls. Nicer. Friendly starter who told us the deal with the course. Fantastic! The course itself is relatively difficult with the setup. Accuracy is a must on most holes. Water is in play on most and most have large sand traps guarding the green. The views coming down 16 and going thru 18 are great. I've watched the celeb tourney on TV and was anxious to get to #17. Short, treacherous, nerve-racking. My score on 17? Par! No Chris Weber for me. Aside from not being Pebble-ish as I was expecting, the marshals came out to tell us that the group ahead of us was one hole ahead and for us to speed it up. We sped up and caught up to the group ahead of us, but when we asked the group behind us (also my buddies) if the group behind them was on their ass, they said no and that they were never pushed! WTF? Although it's a nice good course, minus one star for the hype and gripe. Worth $190 to play once, but probably won't come back again. I'll watch it on TV! read more

I really loved this place. It's been recently updated, and the rooms are nicely appointed. Our room has a gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains beyond. We were there for Thanksgiving holiday and we really enjoyed all of the thoughtful small touches from champagne on arrival to the sweets left in our room every night. We were invited to a holiday party in the communal great room area via an adorable invite left on our bed at turndown with a bag of yummy sugar cookies. My little one and I enjoyed decorating holiday cookies at the party, the food at the restaurant near the lobby was always tasty and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. One night we were left some spices in a jar to make spiced cider (again, how cute and thoughtful). I packed it in my suitcase and just made some cider with it at home and my family all agrees it's the best spiced cider they've ever had! I'd love the recipe!
