It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience--especially for a special occasion like Easter. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

This place is not what they tell you it is. On Friday nights, they invite you to come to the…read morerestaurant for dinner, but when you get there, they don't allow you to park in their parking lot. So, you have to park on the street. You would think if they expect you to patronize their restaurant, they would let you park near the building, especially in the winter months! And then, after you climb the stairs to reach the second floor dining room, (because there is no functional elevator) you get a panoramic view of the Providence River not Narragansett Bay. The food and the service, is generally pretty good, but the room is very noisy. It feels like you are eating in a "chow hall" instead of a fine restaurant. So, if you are looking for a pleasant dining experience, you should probably go somewhere else. Maybe a place where they offer you a parking place.

We just held our wedding reception at the Rhode Island Yacht Club and it was…read more a wonderful experience. The venue is beautiful and the view is absolutely amazing. For a smaller wedding of 70ish it was perfect. The food was delicious and all enjoyed it. I had many out of town guests and they raved about the food and comfort of the banquet room. We had room to dance and the huge windows gave us so much daylight. The venue is close to historic Pawtuxet and parking was easy. David and Laura went out of their way to make our day a very special one. The staff could not have been any nicer. After looking at many venues in the area, we think the Rhode Island Club was perfect for our wedding. Elaine H
